Post labour insomnia + breastfeeding + sleeping husband = I need something to do or I'm going to go crazy with boredom.
Safety guidelines for the above action:

* Do NOT play Rescue Baby New Year mission while attempting this; this mission has been known to destroy maternal instinct and cause rejection of anything resembling a child.

* When considering places to rest your drink the soft cranial cap is NOT an acceptable option.

* Playing the ITF post partem is not advised as too many correlations between Nictus infusion and getting pregnant exist for comfort.

* If you are feeling shut in the house and tied to the baby... if you are feeling like you never get OUT and your home has in fact become your prison... go talk to Positron... he can relate.

* No matter what your victory... no matter what odds you overcame to achieve that victory... spiking the "football" is not an acceptable celebration.

* If using a headset to verbally connect with your team mates, please keep the others in mind should your infant go from suckle-mode to Chew.

* No matter how hard you try, super sidekicking will NOT allow you to skip the baby past the diaper stage.

My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

Thanks . He is now, a very energetic level 4 Dual pistols/storm corruptor. Runs around with his two nerf guns causing havoc and leaving the room looking like a stormy corr went barreling through. I even found one of his army men in the ceiling fan. He's pretty squishy though.

Since when did Baby New Year resemble a child?

Haha I've enjoyed your stories MrsAlpha!
My little guy is due March 1, but for some reason both the wife and I think he'll be a little early. I can't wait until he's old enough to throw a baseball, play hockey (we're Canadian...)
and eventually help his dad be a Hero in Paragon!

After 4 kids of my own, I don't see a problem.

The first kid changes your life in ways that you have no clue about going in. You tend to have that "deer in headlights" aspect associated with the "Oh, wow . . . I'm a parent" amazement . . . and panic.

The second kid is not twice the work. The first one acts up due to all the attention being paid to the baby, and later the two learn to play off of each other, so it is really about four times the work.

The third kid is no big thing . . . until you realize, "Oh no! Now they outnumber us!"

The fourth kid ends up being, "Eh, what the hell. Another one won't make much of a difference." The biggest problem first off is that Insurance forms only allow for 3 kids.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Local you owe me a new keyboard. I have chunks of chocolate flavored espresso beans and iced tea stuck in the keys now.
Try twins and a alternating work schedules, they always outnumber you.

And that's why we took steps after two. (Not for the insurance because we live in Canada, but...because of the whole outnumber thing)

Gotta slot Soulbound Allegiance, Local.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

My cousin has 11, so I'm familiar with that. After 5 they start taking care of each other, so you just kick them back into play when one goes out of bounds. I'm just thinking that going to get the laptop -- or going over to a desktop -- to play a game so soon after childbirth is impressive.

I did this. Got a foot AND a back massager for the wife.

And to respond to an earlier poster: I do the same. Once all the housework is done, I am allowed to do whatever I want till I go to bed.

Well, except for the TV. When I want to play on the PS3, I have to wait till she goes to bed, since it's the only HDTV we have. I could take the PS1/PS2 to the bedroom, but c'mon. I really don't feel like unplugging all of those cords.

Bloodspeaker and I have not yet gotten around to having children (partly because we're not in a financial position to do it properly, and partly because, well, the world can barely handle us, let alone us combined via offspring). When we do, however, the kids will be raised properly as gamers. Cthulhu plushies, immediate members of Sister Flame's posse, baby shower registration at ThinkGeek, the works.

And the laptop is coming with me to the hospital, where I will be hosting a TF, and screaming over chat, "TO HELL WITH MY CHARACTER, *I* WANT 'DULL PAIN'!"

And at that time, I will be cheerfully begging for all the mom advice I can get from the ladies on the forums.

I hazard to say that mentioning something like this in broadcast might get you an invite. Not sure that would be desirable, I'm just sayin'.

Wow, I just got the visual of a Bots Mastermind themed Halloween costume with the Mom dressed up as the MM, the dad as the Assault bot, and the kids as the little bots, running around going "Pew Pew Pew!" That would be the most epic CoH Hallloween costume Ever.

100% sure-fire ways* of making your wife happy:

1) Farm or marketeer up a bunch of Inf. Buy some purples/buy purple recipes and craft them. Send purples to wife's Global with a heartfelt little note like "I saw this and thought of you" or "You said you could use one of those".

2) Help wife start TFs for Alpha Slot components. If you *really* want to impress her, say "Let's try for a Master's run" when she brings her badge collector. If it goes well she'll love you, even if the attempt fails you'll get major points for making the effort.

3) Wife considering new character? Offer to roll a synergetic one with a similar theme and level pact with her.

4) If you see her character in a new costume, compliment it.

5) Offer to buy (or draw!) her art of her character for her birthday.

*only 100% sure if your wife is current poster

Just put your desks next to each other. Then you just have to turn your chair.

There can be no avoiding wife agro - you can slow it's arrival, maybe put it off for a few days, but sooner or later, you're going to be laying there face down wishing you had a wakie.

When wife agro is obviously incoming, do like I do - drop 'trops and run!

Well, I suppose it depends on your state of dress when you say that to him as to whether or not it causes aggro.
