Going Rogue Complete Collection cheap on Steam

The U.S. sale price is ten bucks. You have a bit over 23 hours.
even if you already own the complete collection you can still apply the code from the steam game to your account
got this from Leandro, he would post but the forums were blocking him
I finally managed to log back in, forums blocked me for half an hour.
If you already have the complete collection (I bought it from GameStop back in August) and you apply the Steam CD key, you get a month of game time. The key will be listed as "Retail", but it looks like the Steam CD keys don't conflict with the Going Rogue Complete Collection keys from stores.

Repurposed
Yesterday I was mulling the idea of reactivating my second account. (Was missing my Traps/Sonic and Rad/Sonic defenders). I realized I'd then have to purchase GR in order to participate in the Incarnate system. At the time I decided to skip it because I didn't want to pay the price it was listed for. I'm glad I waited! I'll more than likely purchase it when I get home and wait to apply it until the weekend (if possible).
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

To clarify, you have stated the following is true:
If someone already owns the City of Heroes: Going Rogue Complete Collection hard copy (complete with shiny case), the code one gets from Steam for the same product would not be seen as redundant in the PlayNC system. As such, she can buy the same game again, and the end result would be a month of City of Heroes for $10.
Is this correct? I'm just double checking, as a miscommunication can put me out $10 and her rather discouraged about the game.

Does anyone know if buying the game via Steam automatically defaults to the region you're buying it in? I live in Europe but play on the US servers, and if I wind up buying the european version via steam I've wasted money.

When I bought CoH on Steam many moons ago, it defaulted to the EU version, I would imagine it will do the same?
Could try the Steam forums for help?

Buy the game through steam, then head over to your game's library. Right click Going Rogue, and click on manage account. This should take you straight to the NCSoft manage account page. Enter in your username/password, and it should give you the option to create a new account or upgrade an existing one, like it did for mine.
Now I just have to figure out how to make it so I don't have to redownload the client (already patched to latest version today), and see how it charges me for next month.
Bummer, it doesn't seem to work for me. Creating an account in Steam that is. Keep getting "Your account creation request failed, please try again later." I'll keep trying but it will suck if I miss out on this deal.

ok, maybe adumb question... what if you bought the game direct (EU) from Ncsoft themselves... could you still apply the code to your "ncsoft account" and claim the 30 days?

You could, however, have someone with an US Steam account send the game as a gift to you, then Paypal them back. Or gift them back a different $10 game.

it didnt automatically start redownloading the client for me, but i might have different options set so it doesnt auto install games i buy
Good sale.
Hope this brings some curious newcomers as well as folks returning. It's a good deal to jump back in for 30 days, try out the new GR content, i19 AND get a few booster pack perks to boot!
I originally bought Going Rogue through NCSoft's online store. Will these two codes conflict, seeing how they're both digital purchases?
UPDATE: I answered my own question in the affirmative. If you purchased the complete collection through NCSoft's online store, DO NOT BUY IT AGAIN THROUGH STEAM. I feel like such an idiot. It's only $10, but still... >_<
UPDATE 2: Valve decided to be really awesome and they gave me $10 "in-store credit" (via the Steam Wallet).

Well thats nice and fun for the EU players seeing as we could only get Going Rogue via NCsofts Store... we had zero EU boxes....

I bought it for me last night - I prepurchased GR so I could have dual pistols, but never got around to getting the items that came with the official release, but since this has an extra month of gameplay and the items for less than what I normally pay on a month... bargain!!
For future reference - buying from Europe gets you the EU version. Anyone know who can sort this out - NCsoft or Steam support?

I to wish we in EU had a boxed edition, i would have gladly paid full price for a boxed expansion pack. But with this steam offer i decided to buy it but would have rather preffered to get a boxed EU version then som virtual download and key.
So next expansion please for COH can we get a boxed edition in EU please.
