Should I find another server or even another game?

This IS your problem. Stop LOOKING for teams and earn to be systematic in FORMING teams
Good habits start with dicipline. Discipline yourself into being the team leader you are desperatly looking for. Imagine the players that would welcome your LEADERSHIP!

This comment is insulting, because I already stated I have been attempting to create teams, this is not helpful this is simply someone attempting to flame me in one form or another or someone who just gets off trying to make others look bad.

You want to accuse me of a bad attitude? That is fine, my attitude is great until people like this love to make assumptions about me when they do not even know me, including the person above who saids I have a bad attitude well I got news for you, I know my attitude and I really could care less what you think of me, your not really worthy to judge anyone if you honestly think you can make a judgement like that across the internet about another human being that quickly.

Anyways I never seen a lft team channel, I have done channel searches I mostly play central times at night but like I said above the server is in the red when I am trying to find a team, and I certainly do not go off about how I cannot find a team in game, I am always friendly.
That's a good time to be finding teams. But as you said you're level 34, could be that a lot of people with toons that level, have a level 50.

That said, I've seen a few Manticore TFs forming, and they're that level.

Once you get to level 35, get into Cimerora, and you're really likely to find a lot of teams, as people look to create ITFs.

I know just yesterday I was running 4-8 person teams in Praetoria.

My suggestion is to yes, get GR. I don't know when you got back, but with them selling GR for 9.99 at Best Buy, that would of been a great time to grab it, as it came with a free month.

New content causes a lot of draw toward it. Currently people are running end-game content to see all the new and shiny things to smack around the head. Once things die down, you'll find more teams happening. Until then, either be patient, join in, or be on your merry way.

Do you not have a global friends list that is how I get most of my teams.I will join a pug ans if I like the play style of the others will sent global invites, this gives me a pool of ppl that I can team with in the future

Hadn't heard of Virtue TFs 2010 before, so that's an option. Last I checked, though, LFG Alpha was still at capacity, so it's not really a viable choice for new people.

Hahahahaha....

Ok. Honest? You don't seem to read what anyone posts to help you. It is almost like you already made up your mind that you hate us all, we are all against you, and you should just move somewhere else. And hey, if that is the case, good luck! I am sure there are other servers out there that will fit your mindset better.

Edit:
Now that I had time to think this over, let me put in a word of advice. Over the years of playing on MMO's or other RP mediums, I have learned this universal truth.

If you want something, you have to do it yourself.

You told us that yes, you have made little teams here and there. But have you made any friends with those that you played with? Have you gotten a global name or three and chatted to them about teaming up again? Have you gone out and sought any SG's to see what they are about? Applied to them or least browse their sites that are listed? Do you know that there are stickies threads at the top of this forum that gives you the channels and SG's that are looking for people?

This game will not give you anything without working for it. The people that play the game will not give you things if you do not seek them out and ask them for it. The people on the forums are just a SMALL percentage of the server as a whole, but they do talk to others. Word of mouth, or word of text in this case, travels fast. But in the end, it boils down to you.

Your the one that can make this game fun for you or not. Not anyone else.

But I am sure you only see an insult to yourself in my post that was actually trying to give a word of wisdom. If that is the case, perhaps you need more than a new server or a new game.

Come over to Freedom. From the posts, Virtue seems to be hardcore city.
We play hard here but we don't boot people who go to the bathroom and other stupid nonsense like that. Freedom has cool people. Give it a try. If you don't like go back. It's ok to play with other people on different servers. For example, I've set up an EU account to play with just different people. Change is good sometimes. I like Freedom but I want to play with non-americans sometimes. I promise you won't have problems with invites on Freedom.

To address them in order.

Quote 1: There's a difference between elitism and being selective. It's been my experience that most RP SGs tend towards playing together, or with likeminded groups, as it wouldn't make a ton of sense for, say, characters from the Golden Age Heroes group of SGs to randomly invite TechArmorDemon666 along on one of their outings. As for the AE thing? You're looking for a "good [RP] SG", yet bemoan the fact that "everyone almost everyone is using the ae stuff". The AE--or Mission Architect, as I prefer to call it--is the mechanic which drives a lot of intragroup RP. It's a GOOD THING that lots of RP SGs use it; it lets them craft tailor-made missions and such for themselves and their teammates, often using villain groups and other NPCs which exist only within the SG's internal canon. As for all the non-RPers using the AE; who cares, if that's not what you're looking for?

Quote 2: True story; good SGs don't stand around in Atlas spamming that they're accepting recruits. Check the Virtue Supergroup thread. Poke around on GuildPortal. Find an SG that fits the genre/themes to which you gravitate, then make first contact with them. Be proactive.

Good luck!

Does anyone else have the problem of having too many teams to join right now?

It seems like at all times there are at least three Task Forces up in Virtue LFG, TF's and United going that I want to join and then on top of that there is almost always a group of in game friends who are running something and want me along and then my friend on Vent who will me to run something. Not to mention all of the teams being formed in Zone Broadcast.

Since the new issue I need like 5 copies of myself to keep up with all the things going on and the people who want me to play with them.

Which of the 3 ITF teams do you want to join? Which of the Two Lady Greys in this instance going on right now? There is also a Mothership raid going on and someone else is bored with all the 45-50TF's being run and wants to run a Synapse, someone else is just running a level 50 mission team for shards.

Its been great!

You can manually join these channels since you now know the names
/chan_join "Virtue TFs 2010" and /chan_join "Virtue LFG Alpha"

Global channels are almost a must these days which is why i hope they give us another increase

Hm...I want to say I'm familiar enough with your posts to just say, "lol, this post wins the thread", or something to that effect. But if it's not a Snarky McSurly post, then yep, same with me when I log in. Too many TFs, too little time.

Angel,

The majority of folks in this thread have honestly been trying to help and have given some excellent advice. Follow it and see where it goes, especially the Virtue channels offered above. As for the less-than-helpful stuff, pass them by.

Virtue is a great server and has a great amount of folks to help you out.

For my own part, I can honestly say "Don't ask me" as I'm mostly a soloer, though not a day goes by when I don't get a "Want to join a Lvl x team?" I politely respond with a 'no' but once in a while I'll say 'yes'.

Don't give up, hang in there, and pack lots of inspirations!

It is a snarky response but its also entirely serious. I and almost everyone I know is drowning in a sea of invites right now to the point that its "Oh drat, there is a Khan forming and an Apex and Tin Mage but I'm on the last mission of this Lady Grey with the same people I just did an ITF with and I wish I could stop what we are doing to go join the Mothership raid but everyone is tired of the Lady Grey and its it over with" that was just last night at 1am EST, let alone prime time.

Maybe the OP is just missing all those wonderful door missions from the Halloween event?

To the OP: you know what they say about those whom help themselves.

Also Virtue is a bunch of elitists whom expect after what 7-8 years now to know what your doing, or at least not to suck to badly. We cater to all types and all gaming levels, however you'll make no friends if you pick yourself out to be a loud mouth who asks for help and who is unwilling to take the kindly sort that is offered.

Here is THE BEST advice you'll ever get. IF your going to play a MMO.. try to work on NOT being so sensitive. No one here even came close to insulting you, they simply answered your question in their own way. Might've been a sarcastic way but if sarcasm is something you find insulting then hell...you might wanna stay off the interwebs all together.

Here is the second best advice - if you are in a team and not having fun - quit. Say sorry folks that's it for me and drop out.

It is your time and your FUN.

Now the other day we had a terrible mess trying to take down an AV in a tf with only 3 of us left and 3 people who dropped and yet didn't quit. We died many times and got to the AV and could not kill him. So we quit but it was still fun!

I'm not sure if the OP is even still reading but I would like to point out something about CoH that nobody so far has brought up.

Level no longer really matters.

The OP didn't say what kind of teams he wanted to join, so let's just assume it's normal missions. It doesn't matter if you're a level 34 controller, because you could go to Atlas Park and join a sewer team and get XP (and have fun) or you could go to PI and join a level 50 newspaper team, get XP and have fun. Most of the TFs, including the ITF, are available to a level 34, I believe. I'm on VirtueUnited, which is full, but I think there's a VirtueUnited2010, as well?

As far as RP SGs go, though, you basically have to sift through the thread on SGs, or just keep ears and eyes open for that.

And don't besmirch smaller teams. Not everything has to have a full team of 8. You can be 4 happy players with a difficulty setting of x8 (No AV) and have a grand old time. As Yoda said, Size Matters Not.

Freedom is the other high population server, so your chances there are good, as well. Nothing says you can't have toons on more than 1 server. Also, the plus with the global channels is.. you could be on Freedom, be monitoring a Virtue global, and if someone is forming a team for something you want, you can send a /tell and switch over.

Interesting take. I never join an SG that "spams" out invites (whether that means advertising in broadcast or blind invites).

Now granted, I've run my own SG/VG for years now, but even before that, I got to know people by PUGing with them first, then running chatting with some more of their SG mates.

While I might agree with this on the surface, I've joined some small starting RP SGs which netted me some wonderful friends years after the SG turned to dust. Even the ones where I don't keep in touch with anyone, I had fun with.

So not quite that dismal. However, if you are looking for a stable SG with lots of active members, then advertising is likely not the way to go.

There is a thread link up top in this forum which has several very good SGs which may or may not be accepting new members.

As for the OPs question, leave your LFG tag on all the time. Works well for me and I spend as much time RPing as I do playing, so it's not like I have a hardcore group sitting around waiting for my whims

From some of his replies i'm not entirely certain that the OP knows how to join and use global channels. He also seems remarkably thin-skinned for someone who has spent any amount of time on the internet, but that's neither here nor there. Does anyone have any good links for guides to using the global channels?

i spend the majority my time playing on Virtue and honestly have been having a hard time choosing between the various TFs and raids constantly being announced on the various global channels, and only one of those global channels is not for a different server, or a private channel set up for one group of players or another to chat with each other. Several alts are in very active coalitions, and the coalition chatter of people forming and seeking teams for all sorts of things sometimes threatens to drown out team chat.
