Post patch market wackiness!
HOs also spiked. I bought one weeks ago and sold it (Enzyme) for 344 million last night.
Too bad the market haters will just assume it is the flippers stopped flipping them or some other silly thing.

I think people are not aware of the ramifications that new Issues have on the market, some of the things that happen are unforeseeable. Such as the plummet then rise contrast of the posters observations here. AE just magnified the effect invention salvage, or really anything at this point of explosion, is influenced by.
Fury
Sheesh I have been deleting Silvers and Hydraulic Pistons to make room for 'good' salvage. I better pay attention.
Protector Server
Woeful Knight (BS/Regen/Body Scrapper)
Kevin Christian (MC/FF/Primal Controller)
SilverCybernaut (Eng/Dev/Munitions Blaster)
Apixie OhNo (Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker)
Y'ru Glowen (Rad/Rad/Psy Defender)
This. Common salvage like Silver costs 8 AE tickets to gamble. If I need a specific item to craft, I can afford to delete unwanted white salvage to make room to roll more tries and get the desired salvage.
Well, now that I am able to sell Hydraulic Pistons for a million a pop, maybe I won't delete them. Geez. |

I know there have been many threads dealing with Alchemical Silver, but I swear that in the 26-40 range that is needed for what seems like darned near *everything*, and whenever I break down and roll for commons I wind up with 1 AS for every 8 Ancient Bones or Demonic Blood Samples.

total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Funny thing is that last week I was shaking my fist and cursing the RNG for giving me 8 out of 10 silvers instead of whatever it was that I needed. Who knew that all along it was trying to make me money?
Does this count as Wacky?
If you do the maths, you'll see that I had them listed nowhere near that sale price...
Not quite as good as the single Resist IO I had sell for 14M, while a Crushing Impact I'd had drop and made up to sell went for 3.5M. That just felt wrong.

Oh Market, you so crazy!
time to dump a bunch of stuff and hopefully cash in.

Actually, with the exploit shut off and a bunch more L50's out rummaging
around in the "real world", salvage prices are already starting to return
to more "normal" levels.
Given the freespecs, I was taking the liberty to try out a couple powers I
was curious about, and crafting IO's for them was pretty easy - there are
still a few pieces of salvage in the 100K range, but most of the ones I was
bidding on last night were back in the 1K-10K range again.
Common crafted IO's were also on the way back down to the 150K-300K
levels as well.

logged in an alt last night who'd picked up a bunch of stacks of ToD procs for 50k each, turned them around for ~10m and this morning the bulk of them had sold.
Looking forward to checking the other alts I speculated with during the Great November Supply Glut of 2010.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)
I think they mean for all 6 pieces (or maybe just the 5 non-proc ones). When you figure some were floating around 225-300K, all the pieces would add up to over a billion.

Soulbound Allegiance did take a hit, but that's a set that has historically showed wild fluctuations. I've got more than one character that bought a set for under 50m, never got around to slotting it, and sold it for over 300m because the market swung so high.
My postings to this forum are not to be used as data in any research study without my express written consent.
IHaven't looked at Armageddon yet, but the damage sets seem to be stable, riding the wave of "enhance my 50s!" that has things like the Numina ++ up about 33% from last weekend.

They all sold yesterday.

Let this be a lesson to young marketeers- sufficient patience can redeem some pretty serious marketing errors. =p

The last time I bought purples, it was in the spring or maybe summer. I think Absolute Amazement recipes were running around 20-50 million. I checked yesterday to outfit a toon I respecced, and was greeted with 200mil/each! I went with Stupefy instead.
Last weekend, Numina procs were upwards of 100-150 mil. I put up a bid for 10 at 45 mil each. Took a day and a half to fill, and now the prices are strating to go back up on them. I just felt an urge to stock up on them for a rainy day.

Then, since the prices on high level commons are pretty ludicrous in several places at the moment, I'd have blown a load of tickets on common salvage.
