Post patch market wackiness!
During the day I watched the cost of level 50 Common IOs go from .5 mil to 5 mil.
My crafting couldn't keep up with the demand. I see people paying a million for a Common Endurance Reduction, so I craft and put a bunch up for 750,000. That was bought out and the price went up to 2 mil. Crafted again... now up to 4 mill.
I didn't mind paying 100k for common salvage if I could sell it crafted for 5 mill.
It's not only the Monkey BAEbies that are now 50 and outfitting their exploitoons, but with Inherent Fitness and the Alpha Boost, everyone is respecking.

Ya I had an impervium armor resistance sell at 300m, not sure if it was an extra 0 or not since the other 4 sales were at 40m.
I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
Purples are crashing like a [terrible ethnic joke].
2 weeks ago when I did my latest field crafter there were hundreds of jump and run IOs for sale, at a fraction of crafting cost. Now that we have inherent Swift and Hurdle the backlog has been sold and they're going for good coin.
I'd sorta like to take some time and make a ridiculous profit earning field crafter on some toons.... but frankly I'd rather do alpha slot stuff and get all those respecs out of the way.
During the Stupid Monkey Drought of Ought-One-Oh, I cheaply filled every single salvage slot on all my throw away alts with orange salvage and relisted it for the normal going rate. It's probably only going to net 200-400m per character...but for a low level alt to just have 500m sitting in their pocket, they'll never want for common IOs again.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I spent the past 3 weeks or so doing "spring" cleaning at my 6 Bases. I'm a hoarder and most of my enhancement bins were reaching capacity. I have 8-10 enhancements bins in each Base. I had a dozen characters actively selling. As is typical, the attack, armor and heal type Set pieces sold quickly. I had priced at below (the then) going rate to attempt quicker sales, so I missed out on the current spike in prices. Plus I got rid of the level 50 items first which is a bummer. My sales have slowed a bit with the non-50s items. Hopefully, the respecers will snatch them up.

total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
Im outiffing as I go and hopefully the market will normalize in a few weeks.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

I needed a Silver to craft something yesterday, and though I have no problem affording it, I wasn't willing to pay the 4 million others were. The last 5 were all 4 million, so to check, I put a bid up for 100k, then 1 mil, then 3 mil, and it didn't take.
I went through all my bins, checked all my alts, and I didn't have a single Silver. Then, I remembered about the Vault, and lo and behold, I had one lone Silver on my main.
Victory was mine.
Thank you, Champion.
My impression of the general market consensus was that purples would drop rapidly in price because all the people would be playing their level 50s instead of killing monkeys. Turns out we were right.

Then, since the prices on high level commons are pretty ludicrous in several places at the moment, I'd have blown a load of tickets on common salvage.
But then, I'm odd like that. I refuse to ever pay over 50k for a common, let alone 2M, regardless of how much of a hurry I may think I'm in. I won't go over 100K for an uncommon, either and I don't need to, thanks to a buffer of a few hundred AE tickets.

I read at school that Purples are crashing.
I come home and find them spiking.
Chaaaoooossss!!!

Anyway, the supply will definitely go up, but the effect on the prices is probably blunted by the sudden and widespread respec craze. Whether people who grind out Incarnate components on their 50s will be more interested in buying purples in the long term is another question.
And then there's inflation.
Will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Even if the number remains more or less constant over the coming weeks, though, given all of the above I think that's a clear sign that the monkey-exploit fix did its work.
So happy i bough 2 stack of 10 (well only were able to buy 17) Kinetic Combat triples, few days, before i19. I had em for 35M each... selling 100M now
who said :
- buy low

Yes, the Level 50 IOs were selling like hotcakes last night. I can't count the times I ran (in Steel) from the vault, to the university, to WW....and made around 40 million selling in around 30 minutes.
I am still getting the hang of the market, but I couldn't contain my excitement when I placed 7 IOs on the market and they sold instantly for more than 10 times what it took for me to create them.
Cheers!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen so many people standing around the markets as I did last night. I figured it would be busy with all of the new people returning, but it seems to me that all of the 'new' 50s (*cough*monkeys*cough*) have decided that now is the time to IO out their new favorites. Additionally, a lot of returning players seem to have come back with barrels of cash to spend on new stuff.
I'll admit that I planned ahead for this patch and I've been doing great business so far, but I'm still kicking my self because I could have done SO MUCH BETTER!
Some things I've noticed -
- Characters of mine that have been sitting with stuff on the shelves for weeks have had everything sell out in minutes.
- These things that weren't selling before (presumably because I had them listed too high) are now selling for far higher than I generally list them.
- Recipes are starting to creep up in price because demand is so high.
- Common salvage is just INSANE. At one point last night people were paying MILLIONS for silver of all things.
Anyway, it's a fun time to be playing around in the market! My guess is that within a few weeks things will settle down, and the market will soon be saturated with level 40-50 salvage once again with everyone playing their 50s for the incarnate slots.
