Uh, there's been a "1,100 badge club" thread ready and waiting for I19 for weeks now.
Why didn't you just use that one?

...I honestly had no idea it was out there 'til you bumped the thread. My bad.

Why 1100? I figured to keep to the whole "badge name" for the milestone counter too. That'd be 1000, 1250, etc.

Well with all the new exploration badges (and Primal access to Praetoria) it's going to be relatively easy for the top badgers to sprint up past 1,100+. Most of these threads are usually named for whatever range of "hundreds" the top badgers manage to get to so the fact that 1,000 is a milestone that'll be quickly surpassed there's not much reason to worry about it.

Ding! I hit 1000 before I had to go to the office today ... 1100 will have to wait 8 hours

and for one shining moment I had more badges than Hopper ...

im already past 1100 (currently sitting at 1135)

i still have about 2 zones worth of explores to get plus some other praetorian badges, i estimate ill be in the range of 1180 when im caught up again

Because 1100 isn't an Official Badge, and there are quite a few of us who aren't close?

Since when did these "badge count club" threads have to be based on an official count badge? If you look back through this section of the forums you'll find threads of pretty much every hundreds count (500, 600, 700, etc.). So threre's nothing "wrong" with the 1,100 thread (because that's where we're going to stuck until I20) and when someone breaks 1200 there'll probably be a thread for that too (despite the next badge being at 1250).

Case in point: it only took me about 4 hours to make it to 1,100.

1,000th badge was Alpha Unlocked which was surprising since it was an accident.

Broke 1000 yesterday running explores. At this moment I'm up to 1016, hopefully I'll get back on tonight to grab me some more.

And for once, I was on the first list on top badges for all of CoH on badge-hunter.com.

Not trying to start a fight here, honestly. But, on the same token, you could also say there's nothing wrong with using the official badge count format as well, especially for the higher up-but-not-quite-badgeaholic players who'll be cresting the 1K mark soon. I guess that's why I was thrown off by having it initially dismissed in lieu of the (at the time buried) 1100 thread.

When I cooked up the 1K thread, it was after seeing Master-Blade's take on the badge count club for 750, so this one just seemed a natural fit. I'll leave this here, and I'll prolly post in the 1100 thread too just cuz it's there. If someone makes an 1110 thread, I might post there too. Interwebs are free that way. XD

Whatever. This milestone can stay, the 1100 can stay, and whatever the current badge cap is, that'll get stayed too. Now to hit that cap!

I 'honestly' don't care much either way beyond mentioning it was a bit weird to start a "X count badge" thread when a "X+100 count" thread already existed. It wasn't exactly "buried" in this forum section - at worst it was like 10 threads from the top. That, and I personally think the "count" badges (like Questing) were a dumb series of badges from the beginning ("Why should I get a badge just for getting a certain number of other badges?") so I'll admit I was a bit biased that way too.

Beyond that anyone can obviously start any thread they want (within forum rules of course) so knock yourself out...

1168 checking in...all thats left is the new TF badges, the morality Praetoria stuff (not real sure on how to get those..) and the new vill arc badges (although I should have both...darn bugs)

You'll have to wait until we have Flashback access to Praetorian Missions/Arcs. Until then, Primals won't be able to get them.

I wouldn't expect it to show up before I20.

Did you do the Paragon City sewer explores? That hurt far more for me. Something about feeling like a Hamster in one really messed up tunnel cage... at least the Praetorian underground areas had a ceiling you didn't hit when you stood up straight. ;(

After getting all the new exploration badges, the Praetorian badges that were opened up and the new zone events, and running the new hero arcs, I'm at 1,071 on my main. 1,100 should be a simple matter of getting a veteran badge, Firebug, and any new badges from the Winter Event, then finishing up villain Day Jobs before making the switch.

Got 1080 a couple days ago.

With the Shadow Shard badges (36 total inc. accolades), that will be 1116 - probably tonight.
