It may have an impact on current lvl 50 content (ITF,STF,LGTF, etc.).

Well the game still be challenging? There is always the AE. I was musing over facing off against a +2 Master Illusionist in a global channel the other day and someone mentioned running across a AV level Master Illusionist in the AE. I think we can find plenty of challenge in there if we want to find it. :-)

I'm sure it's been considered, tested, and tweaked in beta.
It's purpose is for End Game Content, thus, the constant insistence from the Devs that it will not be available when you exemplar down. Exemplared 50s already are overpowered when exemplared and anyone who says they aren't needs to learn to play, seriously.

That being said, by the time one is finished with all the Incarnate Slots, you could probably solo the LRSF.

WEB SITE CORRECTION

The chart of Incarnate Salvage lists the source of Dimensional Keystone and G'rai Matter components and Shards as unknown.

Well, if things haven't changed from the I18 Beta, the Dimensional Keystone comes from the Reichsman SF/TF (Barracuda and Dr. Kahn); and G'rai Matter is purchased with Vanguard Merits at the Vanguard Work Table (since the Mother Ship Raids do not have a reward table).

Also Shards have at least two sources:

1. Drops from defeating level 50+ critters. (In I18 Beta, the rate of drop was similar to Rare (Orange) Recipes and higher ranked foes (e.g. Bosses and EBs) had a higher rate of drop).

2. 4 Shard reward from the Hamidon Raid.

I think perhaps people misunderstood the question about the picture: The guy ABOVE the City logo would seem to be Romulus Augustus. The toon front-and-center is meant to be a player toon.

Ohhhh. Now I get it. Too bad all that stuff doesn't look so hot randomly mashed together on the Huge model with a scarf around his face and a chain harness.

Yup and yup... I misunderstood XD Now looking at all the alpha slots I have trouble deciding if I want Spiritual - Core Paragon/Radial Paragon or Nerve - Core Paragon for my main. Can't wait to get into Issue 19!

Only one thing worries me about this update and it is this quote from the GR homepage:

"Every major content update will reveal new Incarnate abilities."

Does this mean every Issue will have a new Incarnate slot OR only large Issues will have a new Incarnate slot? Not to be too picky but if we only get one or two slots a year for the next few years, then I will be disappointed.

Other than that though, this stuff looks amazing.

Positron said just before the launch of GR that the Incarnate slots wil be given out in ones or sometimes twos in each Issue.

I am hoping each issue with have some new Incarnate threat. Sooner or later as stated you will be able to solo LG.T.F. So with each new power there has got to be someone who can go toe to toe with you along the way.

Looks good overall, couple of observations:

Minor complaint: All of the names of the Incarnate powers are somewhat organic. I'd like some Mechanical, Hydraulic, High Explosive, Computational, etc. type named stuff.

Slightly less minor: I've got a character that I like a lot that does a lot of -Recharge as a secondary effect, and I don't see a way to boost that. Perhaps this could be made more flexible in the future? (I'm sure things a fixed in stone for I19 and I20.) Like if I give up Healing or Immobilize in one of those powers, can a get a different secondary boost, like -Recharge?

Just thinking out loud....

We will have Alzheimer when the seventh Incarnate slot is out, lol

What do they mean by "level shift" with the incarnate slots?

Wow. Thank you Paragon Studios for making so much info on the Incarnate System public so soon. It's all very impressive and I can't wait to start my Incarnate journey in I19.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom (or freem?) fighter; just as one man's exploit is another man's feature.

For some reason I have it stuck in my head that there'd be 3 in i20, then 1 or 2 per issue after that. Did I just imagine that (wouldn't be the first time!) or did Posi say that somewhere in the GR panel discussion?

Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.

I've done some number-crunching.

With the Spiritual Core Paragon, I can perma Hasten and Dull Pain without spending a billion on a LotG Recharge. In fact, I don't need any set bonuses to reach that.

Oh yes. Me likey.

Necrobond - 50 BS/Inv Scrapper made in I1
Rickar - 50 Bots/FF Mastermind
Anti-Muon - 42 Warshade
Ivory Sicarius - 45 Crab Spider

Aber ja, natrlich Hans nass ist, er steht unter einem Wasserfall.

As much as I appreciate the info, I don't know that I'd characterize it as "so soon" seeing as how we've been told (at a recent Meet & Greet) that they hope to go live with it next week.

Actually, if they stick to their schedule, we'll get it near the end of 2012, so it's likely the world will end at about the same time.

My guess on that level shift would be that it would allow us to have a level without actually being that level. That way when you fight say 54 and your say 52 (even if those 2 levels are imaginary) you do more because the game doesn't automatically scale down your powers because of the level difference. If that's the cause I wonder if it will only work when your doing incarnate level stuff? Would be interesting to walk around peregrine seeing the 50's being grayed out XD

That's just a guess though. If they are actual physical levels that should be interesting indeed.

Either way is purely speculation... just have to wait and see.

So, were going to become so powerful, that we inadvertently cause the world to end?

Cool!
