Titles. What gives?
I agree, and I think titles should be revamped to work like booster packs. Origin themed, but not origin locked.

I've said before that it would be sensible to make it so that titles of your origin unlock at 25, the rest at 35.

I'm still scratching my head about Innocent being villain-only, btw.

I know a lot of criminals who claim they're innocent

/Signed. Unlock first title at 15, which lets you pick one from any of them
Then the second unlock at...whenever it is, again from any.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

...Wait, people use titles?
Just being facetious. Yes, such things need to be reevaluated.
It's worth noting that Praetorians can't be any of the above. Or anything at all. Their title field is blank, even though the trainer is like "Grats, you can have titles now!"

Read the Patriot newsletter. It's right, it's free.
Once they pick a side (blue or red) they get access to the standard lists for that faction and their chosen origin. Just means they can't get titles at all until they go to primal at 20ish.

Oh I know. I just don't see why Praetorians can't get any titles at 15 (or in Praetoria for that matter), whether cut and pastes or their own.
Yes.
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
I think they should just do away with choosable titles altogether and just let you type your own up.
And the GMs will instantly be overrun genericing titles like "Well-Hung" and such.

I was really unhappy when I moved my stalker blue side and had to pick a new title. Unhappy enough that I'm probably going to move him back.
I don't have a problem with origin linked titles, but in our Brave New World it's ridiculous that they're limited by faction.

Like I said. Remove the current title system altogether and just let players type one in.
And again, they would be overrun trying to censor the inapropriate titles, just as much or even more than they are having to take time out of their busy schedules to censor the innapropriate names now. As much as I would love to see our own titles in the game, I see the potential for idiots to cost the GMs precious time just censoring the bad ones. I would however be all for just dropping the origin and alignment restrictions on the titles we have now.

So I remembered that one of the origin titles for Magic was "Last," which is perfect for my scrapper, but then remembered that only villains can pick it. This makes no sense, and there are other titles that make equally little or even less sense:
Heroes, but not villains, can be Startling, Ultimate, Gargantuan, Overcharged, Wanton, Arcane, Baffling, Dread, Frightening, Ghostly, Haunted, Occult, Petrifying, Supernatural, Terrifying, Unknowable, Audacious, Bizarre, Colossal, Eerie, Freaky, Humongous, Incomprehensible, Ominous, Strange, Tremendous, Unnatural, Horrifying, Lone, Mysterious, Unfathomable, Indescribable, Otherworldly, Unearthly, Crafty, Indestructible, Mechanical, Outlandish, or Titanic.
Villains, but not heroes, can be Potent, Exiled, Innocent (seriously, wtf?), Ancient, Enigmatic, Last, Preternatural, Quintessential, Undying, Extreme, Jurassic, Untamed, Wild, Zoomorphic, Elusive, Unseen, Irradiated, Omnipotent, Revolutionary, Synthetic, Automated, Electrifying, Formidable, Grave, High-tech, Ingenious, Mechanized, Quantum, Robotic, or Voltaic.
On top of all that, even some of the titles that are available to both alignments are out of sync: Any hero can be Powerful, but only a Tech villain can; Mutant heroes and Science villains can be Weird, but not vice-versa.
And on top of THAT, plenty of titles like Synthetic, Honorable, Brilliant, and Grim are unavailable to origins for which they would be at least as fitting (no Synthetic tech characters, no Grim magic characters, no Brilliant science characters, no Honorable natural characters, etc).
I can't be the only one who thinks this is completely out of whack. Am I the only one? Please say I'm not the only one. All titles available to all characters (excluding veteran titles, which would still need to be earned, of course), yes/no?
