"Seriously".. a discussion about boobies in a video game is such a serious issue that it's worth raging about.. If you ask me there needs to be more threads that are just simple goofy fun posts like this to break up the monotony.
I posted a funny picture and the word 'seriously'. You're the one preaching from your high horse...

Who's turning this into Serious Business, again?

The Devs don't want to get complaints from parents about being able hurt (physically or sexually) characters that look like young girls. Thus the easiest way to prevent that is to force everyone to have very obvious adult-looking breasts on our females even at the smallest settings.

Personally I'd hate to think we were not allowed to have realistically flat female chests because the Devs are worried about a handful of perverts out there. But all things considered I'm betting they aren't too upset that circumstances have allowed them to dodge that bullet regardless.
If that is a valid argument about american mores then the MPAA has already won. Wait a minute. Nevermind.

So much for little girls being super powered in this game.

Funny that I had to repost the image since the original URLs got munged because of the A double S triggering the profanity filter.

You know Detra would so be the first to reroll a character with this powerset. LOL.

Anyway, as for my "friend" yeah I've pretty much decided I'm done with her BS. I talked to two IRL friends and the wife of one of my friends, and they all pretty much said the same thing alot of you are saying... It's comic books, and besides why does she care so much?

As for "loyalty" and such, I've just always been one that has few friends, and so part of me wants to keep my friends, no matter how bad they are, which obviously is something I need to deal with.

On a side note, seems she might have the same idea to ditch me, as she seems to have blocked me on Twitter or something, not sure, but I'm no longer following her, and I didn't unfollow her myself, although I was headed to do so. Seems my creation of this thread really made her mad, as I think I mentioned, she swears up and down I only did it for sympathy and pity, which while a small part of it might be, most of it was to get the opinions of others on this obviously huge (no pun intended) issue.

So finally slapped a martial arts robe on her (one of the dressy ones) and a skirt..just to hide that her figure was a little..um..more mature than it should be...

That is what I do for little girl toons.

For adolescent toons, I use the slender model, and usually shoot for the look of a ballet dancer...and I always go towards the left to shrink...go towards the right and she will look like a stripper!

I do have a few athletic ones, they are usually legal adults, eg: Oryo Ryou, Kami Megami and so on..

And men still say I don't have enough breast meat on them! Or as one friend put it.."They're super-heroines...they need to look superheroic!"

Maybe so, but it doesn't mean that my back has to hurt looking at them....and yes, I am a RL female!
Actually I do sort of have a character like that already. She was supposed to be 14, so I made her as small as I could, but yeah I wanted her smaller (and even as she got older, I wouldn't want her to get bigger). She objected to this character because small breasts were part of her concept, breasts should not enter into a concept in any way shape or form, apparently.

this thread needs more man. for those who prefer tsfl - teat slider full left.

this woman the OP has issues with. its nonsense drama perpetuated by both of them. do not entertain nonsense if that is what it is. likewise do not hurt someone if you care about them. simple as that.

the below is better than kicking a dead horse (imo).

Actually that wouldn't surprise me, as the Devs stated reason for not having female minions for Masterminds is because they are worried about [the perverts and] the potential lawsuits they would create.

Also considering D-Naka has said that the devs worry about what people might do with laying-down emotes, citing the pushups emote as a cause for concern. I think BAB had also implied similar feelings.

The devs seem pretty prudish about such things. Not saying it's good or bad, just.. saying it.

Will agree on a desire for a little more leeway on the left side of the "Chest" slider.

I'm over it. In two years (on and off) of playing this game, this is the first time I've even gotten involved in such a discussion, and only because somebody else brought it up.

But seriously. All I'm asking for is the option. The OPTION. Of having a female character whose breasts can't be used as a floatation device. Maybe that's what I'd think is fun, hmm? Maybe I want to have a character who looks like an androgynous alien, or maybe a female bodybuilder. Hell, maybe I'm a deviant and I think that's sexy the same way most men think ginorminous bazooms are sexy.

Regardless of the reason why, I think it's stupid to first say "It's not supposed to be realistic, it's a fantasy" and then say "Nobody cares what you want, get over it."

Ice/Ice Blaster. Dedication to concept is an ugly thing.
Claws/WP Brute. Sex without the angst.
Every CoX character lies somewhere on this spectrum.

As I stated in my post, I wasn't directing my argument specifically at you.

Sorry for any misunderstanding that may have caused.

Some people, sadly enough, feel like they are somehow morally superior because they do not like big breasts and try to shove it in everyones' faces, like the OP's friend. And this age-old behaviour isn't limited to just pixelated boobies. It's all over the world over various topics in different cultures.

As for the ability to make smaller boobs. I'd say meh. I personally wouldn't care one way or the other if they let us make females with smaller breasts. But I also don't see such a dire need for it. I think the minimum value we have right now is close enough to bring variety and still keep the character looking feminine.

The only problem with that is that some people want to make child characters. An 8 year old girl shouldn't have a feminine figure.

I want it! Then my very much looks like like a female, but is a cross dressing guy's image can totally be complete!

Luckily, there's a few costume pieces that flatten out the look.

As stated, for obvious legal reasons, I doubt developers would want to open that can of worms.

That's a whole other topic. As much as I am a promoter of the "Let people have fun the way they want with their $15/month!" mindset, I can't help but to be annoyed at male characters using the in-game female model to be feminine. And before gasping at me "BRIGHT SHADOW!!!!", just bear with me for a sec!

I don't find it annoying because I'm against the idea. I also don't find it annoying because it's (to some people) "taboo". The one and only reason for which I find this whole growing phenomenon really annoying is cause I think (I still haven't given it too much though; so feel free to disagree with me and tell me why I'm wrong!) it only shows the laziness of the player. How, you ask?

Instead of the player going to through the challenge and effort to try and make an effeminate male/boy, they simply want everyone else to go through the effort and hassle of ignoring the first visible identification criteria of their character and thinking the opposite.

People can make perfectly viable effeminate male/boy characters through the character editor using the male model. It's a challenge! But I think if someone wants to go through that route, they should take up that challenge instead of taking shortcuts! How come I don't see any butch female characters on male models (now that I think of it, I remember seeing ONE...and she was adorably hilarious!)?!

So yah, BrandX! I think you're lazy!

Sorry for the thread hijack! I just needed to share that. xD

But...he's suppossed to look completely like a female minus the chest. Not just that, but the lack of costume choices the concept would wear. He was replacing his twin sister (and due to mutant genes he took on a very female look...not just androgynous). So the female model is the way to go.

That said, I did try it with a male model on another toon, who is suppossed to be androgynous, but I didn't want to use a female model. I spent a long...long...loooong time trying to get the look down...I still haven't succeeded and I try often just for that concept.

And I've seen a few use male toons for females.

I am impressed! I don't tend to ask others how they put their sliders though, and have kept trying to figure it out myself.

6 years playing, and there's some builds I've seen and thought "Oooo...I like that." and not been able to replicate it yet.

*thumbs up for more effeminate/crossdressing characters*

With mine, I also used the female avatar, and just pushed the appropriate sliders to the right places. He is supposed to be totally passable as a girl, having uh... 'done it professionally' shall we say before gaining powers. And besides that, guy toons just don't have as many options in the feminine style of clothing. More cross-use of costumes! More skirts for guys!

mmmm.. guys in skirts.... sorry about that...

And besides, I didn't want to hear the male sound effects every time I played the character.

I guess with your case it'd be a little more different if the character actually tries to pose as a female too.

My rant was mostly directed to people who pull that off, and then you approach their character and go like "Hey!!! Wussup, gurl?" and they go "(( I AM NOT A GIRL CAN YOU NOT READ MY BIO I AM AN EFFEMINATE GUY I AM NOT A GIRL WHO ARE YOU CALLING A GIRL!? ))"

And yes, I've actually had that kind of crap happen; may be not to that degree, but you get the point!

Also, I wanna give OrphanedHope a high five! That's exactly what I meant!

Well to be completely fair this game was launched back in 2004 and Hit-Girl premiered in a film that's only been out for 6 months. Sadly if there's any truth to the idea that the Devs purposefully made it hard to create obvious female child characters to dissuade the perverts then citing one very recent example to show that it should be allowed in this game is probably not going to be enough to change their minds.

I'd love to be able to make a Hit-Girl type character in this game without having to resort to using a small-sized male model to make her appropriately flat-chested. I just don't see when that'll ever be possible.

Not to mention the game is a public forum so to speak while comics and films are conducted in a controlled environment. The outside world seemingly doesn't exist to Superman or Spiderman.

Yeah...my problem came more with people hearing OOCly that it was a guy and then just knowing it was a guy.

When they had powers to figure it out it, I didn't mind, but when they just went, "Hey guy!" And the bio didn't even say it directly, but left subtle hints.
