I'd love to be able to make a Hit-Girl type character in this game without having to resort to using a small-sized male model to make her appropriately flat-chested. I just don't see when that'll ever be possible.
I've seen a few make passable younger girls, while not 8, can go with an endowed 12-13 year old. Which isn't impossible.

That said, that doesn't mean others see the toon and think 12 year old.

And even hit girl was 11 or 12 in the movie.

Yeah I've made a few alts with character backgrounds setting them in the 16-17 year old range but I just can't bring myself to "pretend" I could make any girls younger than that in this game. I realize that it's biologically possible for say a 10 or 12 year old to be as well-endowed as the lower limit of this game allows for but it just doesn't seem right somehow to be forced to assume that. Oh well.

It just dawned on me...why all the complaints with the chest slider, but you never see the complaints about the leg sliders all the way to the right?

Well, flat-chested may not be possible, but if I were going to try to make such a thing, this is how I'd do it:

Note that physique, shoulders, chest, and legs sliders are all the way minimum (left) while waist and hips are at about 75% to 80% (right of center). Skip on tights and go to the Armored top for a less breasty profile (same smoothing effect you get when wearing robes). I chose the flak jacket texture to give her that leather top look like she's got in the movie. Add a skirt and some tights --in retrospect, the patent leather pattern on tights would probably look better for her legs. Then go with the sport boots, gloves, and shoulders, resistance belt, and short points cape. To top it off, wedge hairstyle and mask 4 on Young Face 2 (adjust face sliders til you get it the way you like).

Not that I would condone using such a character since the trademark is obviously owned. :P

Because legs aren't as sexualized as breasts. Also, long legs are "elegant". Big breasts are "NSFW". Men are not considered perverts if they like long legs, but they are if they like large breasts.

As far as I'm concerned, all the sliders on all three models need to go farther in both directions. Not a lot but some. And all costumes available to either sex should be available to both. Not just for cross dressing, but if one of my guys loses a bet and has to wear a dress for a week, I want to have the option of it being a pink bridal gown complete with veil, not just the toga or a carefully colored kilt. Bah.

On the topic of the use of models, I have seen two really wicked looking buff female amazons made using the male model and wearing the toga running around redside. Since they seem to be completely opposed to letting us have female bodybuilder-type heroines I thought that was a pretty creative way to go. I tried it myself but could never get a face to workout right.

Well, I have a WP/Stone tanker of...indeterminate age "Offended Young Girl". Not because I'm a pervert (or at least not wholly for that reason... ) but as a joke on the anime trope.

Yeah back when I toyed around with it the one I came up with looked almost like yours. I never went with it because A) she still looks relatively too busty to me (no fault of your attempt to conceal it BTW) and B) as you point out even getting -this- close to the actual character would probably be considered a no-no.

Still I'd rather be able to at least do a Hit-Girl "inspired" character without having to try to use tricks to make it work if you know what I mean.

Actually, women's legs are a road map. They lead you strait to the main course. >:3

Prefer to keep it generally realistic myself. When first starting out used the sliders for all proportions to make my own shape. In the end I've three basic types I use. One is really lithe and has a small cup size. The next is what I feel is average, a little more on the legs, midsection and hips match, cup size is in the center and so on. The last is what I feel is the superwoman. Cup slider to the max. Waist in the center. Hips almost at the the max, legs all the way up.

Was asked about the cup size of my character once to which I replied:

"She is a polygonal representation of a superhero in a game of super powered individuals and holds no sway over my opinion of you or anyone else I meet. She does stand as a manifestation of a fantasy woman, yes. Her proportions are not something I feel is a standard for real women nor do I feel any sexual gratification from watching her move about. You don't see me pointing at the men with more muscles then I have and saying "Thats sexist" do you? I don't complain about them cos I know they are not real people and in the scheme of things mean nothing to me or any other rational person. They are avatars in a game and nothing more."

She said "Oh." and I asked her how come she had asked. She told me it was cos she had not seen me create a character with such an ample amount of breasts before.

In my case, however, I spend a great deal of time making certain she doesn't doubt my attraction to her. I never discuss the game, my characters, or my role playing sessions with her at all. For the most part I never play when I am with her as well. She has seen the game a few times, could not tell you much beyond "Its colorful." and "It something he enjoys."

Which I feel, is how it should be.

Warmest wishes;

Nobodythere

God, why would you even want to go max length with legs? Even the default is weirdly long. Going beyond that takes you into strange mutant leg person territory. I've seen women with pretty large breasts, but nothing like what this game can do with legs. It's freakish.

I was playing another MMO yesterday and saw that the game had what I called "jiggle physics" , they move !! not accurately, they seem way too firm, but I said " now that is some quality work right there."

Some motion would be nice. Maybe in COH2 we'll get that along with animated faces and individual fingers.

My point was purely on the complaints that come with max slider.

I've seen women who naturally had what all those who complain about "being unrealistic"...it's not common, no...but there are women who do. So the "unrealistic" (whether or not the game makes it looks good is up to personal opinion) arguement is invalid imo.

However, get a toon who's leg sliders are maxed, and it's nothing. No "it's unrealistic" arguements (mind you, I've seen some OMG those are some long legs before too).

Basically, I find the arguement for "unrealistic" not to make sense. If they said "you know that's not common" I'd see it more, but if they just said "it wasn't common" they'd have nothing to complain about.

The entire "it's unrealistic" argument is invalid even BEFORE all that!

If City of Heroes artistic team showed, in the slightest, that they are actually aiming for a realistic style of art with realistic characters in a potentially realistic world (like, you know, Mass Effect, or Fallout 3, or Crysis, or a bunch of other games that really made an effort in trying to give us 'realistic' graphics and art), then yah. Unrealistic boobs would not fit the world.

And guess what! In NONE of the games I just used as an example, do we get 'unrealistic' boob sizes.

But CoH is aiming for a comic-book style of art! Comic book style of art is not even remotely close to "realistic". So why does CoH have to be "realistic"?!??!?!?! Can someone please explain this logical loophole to me pretty please?! xD

Edit: It's like someone watching a generic anime show and going "Hrm! Those hairstyles look awfully unrealistic! That is disgusting!". We're playing in a world with a dozen furry catgirls around every corner, demons and angels chilling in a night club, and people shooting energy out of their eyes. And suddenly their breast sizes are unrealistic?!? If people didn't get worked up over these things, then maybe, just MAYBE, the world would stop sexualizing such trivial things so much.

I agree. It's why I prefere CoH over that other MMO.

I like how CoH has a very comic book style of art. And I wouldnt want it changed.

Completely agree. Subjecting oneself into a dispute like this; there's only one person to blame and it aint the user. :P

Heh, yeah. The only characters I have that I've done that with was my werewolf in her werewolf form, prior to the Science pack. Now, I still keep my werewolf's legs a bit longer, just to give her that little bit of extra height.

Yeah, I finally have. She accused me of making this thread only for sympathy and pity, and maybe a part of it is that, but mostly I feel I just needed to get the opinions of the community to find out if I'm "normal" or "perverted" as she said. I have Asperger's Syndrome, so I have a hard time understanding others emotions and even more so my own.

Hey, are you suggesting there is something wrong with being perverted? ARE YOU?

Actually, if you turn on Ninja Run and put the camera at about a 3/4ths angle, it sorta looks like the boobs are moving around while the rest of the character holds still. It's kinda hypnotic.

Well I've got to admit, this thread is highly entertaining. Hyperstrike's Boob Control power set is epic.

First off, let me say that I am a female. I am not remotely offended by your characters. I would not be offended even if you cranked that slider all the way to the right. It's your character, thus, your business.

Here are my thoughts regarding your situation. Anyone who is that upset that your chest region is 'hogging all the pixels' is either:

a) Extremely self-conscious, has self-esteem issues, etc.

b) Digs you and is doing a poor job of expressing it.

c) All of the above.

From what I've read, I'm inclined to go with 'c'. I'm happy to hear that you've decided to ignore this person. It sounds like they have nothing positive to contribute to your friendship.

Yeah, "unrealistic" is probably a pretty poor criticism. Personally I go with "really freakin' weird looking", but that's just me. Like others said, your character, your monthly fee, your body sliders.
