Feedback: Power Sound effects
Subjective feedback: Super Strength sound effects need some bass and reverb. They sound very tinny when compared to sounds such as Fire Blast.

The Glowies used to be really loud. We asked for them to be turned down. The devs listened, but I think they went a little too far. Just nudge them up a bit, but not to where they were before.
Customization options would be outstanding (and I know probably beyond the scope of the request), but some things that occur to me:

I agree with different Taunt sounds and jumping sounds. I don't know what to do with them but other options would be nice. I'm super tired of how they sound. For jumping I turn on Ninja Run almost just because it's super quiet.
Normalize the sound levels across the powersets. Some powersets blast my speakers off the shelf while others I can barely hear.
Wentworths/Black Market; I would love to see this become a power free and sound effect free area. I would love to see some of the Giant Monsters and AV's actually say something during the fight. Give them a voice. Even just one or two sound bites that get triggered at a HP level would be cool. |

*I may very well be alone on this, but when I rolled up an Electric Control character, the sounds reminded me (rather than the Nascar of KM) of a consistent, low, muttering minivan or maybe Vespa. Between the two sets (EC and KM) I keep fending off bouts of nostalgia for my Hot Wheels days.
*The option to return to the Beta SFX for Kinetic Melee would be heavenly. When I think of Tai Chi, I do not think of revving engines so much as that swoosh we had before.

Kinetic Melee: Anyone that was in Beta for GR knows I don't like the current sounds and much preferred the original sounds (for anyone curious, the original sounds can be heard in that PAX video that showed KM a loooong time ago). The current effects sound like racecars or jets taking off, and don't go with the visuals of the powers at all. It makes me more than a little sad that we ended up with these sounds, from what I saw, in order to please a minority of players that needed to hear an explosion everytime their fists hit an enemy, and then when the majority requested the original sounds back, we were told it was too close to release to change them again.

Give the evil laugh emote an actual sound bite of evil laughter.
tone down kinetic melee attack sounds.
some electric control powers could sound more epic and less fartyish.
transference and some (idk which) H.E.A.T. attack powers have an over amplified sound.
the wind sound while flying was toned down but im still not a fan of it personally.
tone down quills.
sonic attack and sonic resonance could use a new sound set.
i'll check demons again bc they were pretty annoying before and not sure how much has changed since beta.

Objective Feedback:
The sounds from certain emotes - Drum and Drumlow along with the boomboxes - used to play the sounds/music through the regular sound options... but, a few issues ago, they were switched to the Music sound options.
Subjective: As someone who plays with the music options turned off to not hear the in-game zone music (Not because I hate it or anything, I just prefer no background music)... I would like to still be able to hear the banging of drums and the music coming from placed boom boxes.
The only good thing this change did, for ME, is it removed the music in the sewer entrances (Which I never understood why that was there, hehe).
If you could switch the emotes to be a part of the environment sounds rather than the music sounds, you'd make me rather happy!

Alot of good ideas so far especially the MM pets.
I have to say in the Fire sets for Greater Fire Sword (or anything that uses the giant wedge/sword animation) The odd scream that it gives off when first produced is awful. I turn off my sound when playing my toons or with other toons that have it. It over-powers any other sounds in game and if a player repeatedly uses it, it really gets annoying.

In isolation, the volume levels of gunfire sound effects are good. In combination (say, when an entire room of Council types opens fire on you), it's overwhelming. If the volume of the sound effects were reduced in proportion to the number of guns in the area, that would be nice.

I've had a sound beef for forever: Or at least since the Drum and Drumlow emotes came in. They are looped in such a way that the two are completely out of sync with one another. Not syncopated, completely out of joint! Getting a Drum sound that is rhythmically related to DrumLow (which probably needs to stay because of the more definite animation connection), would really help and shouldn't be that hard to do.

Power Bolt's animation was shortened long ago. The sound didn't line up any more.

On my install the hero mission completion fanfare volume is controlled by the sound effects slider but the villain fanfare is on the music slider. I would rather have the villain on the sound effects slider or you could add a toggle option.
Objective Feedback: The droning sound from the Devices power Cloaking Device does not fade out after activation.
Subjective Feedback: It would be really nice if it would fade out after activation the way that Arctic Fog does. It's kind of wearing for the sound to be on all the time.
Also, the trash-cans-falling-down-stairways sound of MM robots walking could use some dampening |

Thugs summoning should be changed to an attention whistle, not that one piercing blast.
Agreed we need other sonic blast SFX. Maybe power chords on a guitar, if that is to be an option in the future. You know, "Defeat my enemies with the POWER OF ROCK!" That kind of thing.
Also, I must be the only person who wants a different sound font for Energy Blast. What we have is appropriate and suits it, I would just like some variety.

I got to thinking about this one when others have said that the sound the MM's Bots make when they run sounds like a heard of Elephants romping around. What if we added a "hydraulic" type sound. For example, watch Robo Cop and hear the sounds Robo Cop makes when he walks around. Also the large ED-209 Enforcement Droid sound that it made when it walked around. I don't know I think it would be cool. It's just a thought.
I was surprised that the Open Gift emote from the Party Pack didn't have any sound associated with it. I kinda liked that sound from the Xmas versions of that effect/emote. I'd like to have that sound attached, wouldn't be much different than someone playing music emotes when it comes to noise pollution.

I'm all in to see sonic blasts reimagined.
Kinetic Combat is great, but the sound fx are always in the fore. Someone can be on the far side of a map and they sound like they're fighting beside me.
Demons make needless noise.
Dark Shields have always sounded like a broken refridgerator-- it would be cool if they had some creepiness to them. Some of the Tarot Card buffs have sounds that are more in keeping with the dark theme, like the wooshing of the Tower, the Scream of Death and the howl of the Moon.
Rain of Arrows is another power that overwhelms my speakers when it activates, drowning out everything else for that brief moment.
Telekinetic Blast is kind of a silly noise, "Doink". I would love to see that matched with tk thrust, with a thunderclap sound.

Objective Feedback: Various sounds in the game overlap, play in concert, creating an overall dull roar effect. Example: using Fly or Hover in sewers while an Energy Melee power is active.
Some of the sounds in the game are simply too loud, drowning out other sounds. Example: it's difficult to hear incoming /tells on sewer or Praetorian underground maps.
Subjective Feedback: I hate the Flight sound that was added a few Issues back. I really do hate it. The more I have to hear it, the less I want to use Fly or Hover on my characters.
I'm not fond of the constant droning of Energy Melee. That low, dull moan that just goes on and on and on... it's unpleasant. So is the hoot owl nonsense from Tenebrous Tentacles.
The repetitive, nigh endless crackling of Ice and Electricity Blast attacks make me want to throw my speakers at the wall. I'm trying to play a game, not listen to someone dig through a bag of chips and play with bubble wrap.
Is it really necessary for me to hear multiple arrow impact sounds from an AoE power like Poison Gas Arrow or EMP Arrow, which only has one arrow involved? For that matter, why am I hearing those impact sounds at my location and at the targeted location?
Demon Summoning is just ridiculous. I was excited about starting a Demon Summoning mastermind, until I heard one. The constant roaring is just plain irritating.
Greater Fire Sword sounds like a dying cow. I'd rather use Brawl than this power, it's so annoying.
I avoid fighting CoT ghosts specifically because the ringing, resonating, exploding sound they make when they die is almost painful to hear. Having to hear more than one of them do it at the same time is enough to make me exit a mission and find anything else to do.
A lot of the sound in this game is just too sharp, too "in your face". Sounds need to be toned down, softened up and blended more evenly. Having a sharp, hard edge on a solid attack, that makes sense, it's somewhat realistic. Having every sound slam into the player's eardrums, often all at the same time, is just disorienting, confusing and uncomfortable. This is a game, not a congested eight lane highway. Sound in a game should be audio cues and clues to draw our attention to important events and moments, rather than a cavalcade of noise that drowns out those important events and moments. Especially considering that animations in this game "break" so easily, and some powers leave no graphical tracer to direct our attention to key points of interest.
You can give us immersion without drowning us. Try it.

This one is easy. There are so many sounds that got butchered due to them causing lag and such. I wish there would be a way to bring the old sounds back on many powers.
#1 on my list is the old fulcrum shift sound. It used to sound like you are deep frying chicken, now its kinda just meh. Return us back to the old deep fryer sound.
#2 on my list is Psionic Shockwave. This sound added so much to the awsomeness of the set but once it got changed I literally stopped playing my dom because it feels so much weaker.
#3 Electric melee, the sounds used to actually sound like your shocking someone now its kind of like a thud with a slight zap. Return the sounds back to the old sounds please.
#4 Assassin's Eclipse sounds like your doing the snipe for dark blast, please return it back to its old sound.
#5 Fix the sound effects on dragon's tail it makes the sound regardless if you hit someone
#6 Fix the sounds of sonic blast, its all the howling and such is the main reason I cant play this set. Even if I had a wolf type character I still wouldnt play it due to the noise being so annoying.
Objective Feedback
If at all possible do sound customization like you did with power customization. This would give it a unique feel power player and powerset.
