Paragon Studios @ PAX, what to expect?
I think it will be real hard for them to dodge talk of the "Party Pack", I hope that is why they have not posted about it on the boards.
I am pretty sure they will talk about Posi's end game content, and future plans for the awesomeness that is Preatoria.
Even with my current irks over the party pack, Preatoria is the best game story I have encountered since Bioshock.

Well, on Saturday at PAX, Paragon Studios have their panel I believe, where they'll be talking about the launch of GR and what's to come.
So, what information do you think will come from it? I'm expecting news on the other Booster mentioned, and hoping for an amendment to the contents of the Party Pack (IE, adding more or costing less), as well as some news on Issue 19 (In which I believe the gates of Praetoria will open, just a hunch from a new NPC designed by the EU being added on in i19 as a competition.) Of course, we can always hope for a nice look to the future. |
I can understand that eventually they need to stop giving cool powers in packs because we become too strong. But on the other hand no power gives me less incentive to buy. I don't care about the mutant costume stuff. I bought that pack for Pain Tolerance and/or the 30% rechg buff. everything else is gravy.
Other things I'd like to hear are some more info on what Posi has planned content wise for I19 endgame. I'm really hoping for 1 or more task forces.
you know chaos, not to start a parallel discussion about it, but i think that is the distinction between a booster pack, as the party one is being advertised, and a super booster, which is what the 5 origin packs were called. a super booster will have more in it.
anyhow, my speculation, they probably will address the party pack business, likely announce more boosters, might even give a ballpark figure as to when i19 might begin beta testing. and hopefully offer some hints about future content. id like to see what the deal is with the migrating npc costume stuff is that david was getting at. if that were part of a free issue rather than a booster, i suspect that might reassure some of us (strenuously points to self)

I19 early closed beta is probably just around the corner.
Who all is coming to the meet-n-greet on Saturday night? See you there...

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

ok, new facebook update: just a pic of horus, ww and apex over a damaged city, boomtown maybe? i think it was the cover illustration of the last comic to focus on those three, but i cant be sure.
I'm kind of expecting Issue 19 for late November/December, and then 20 for March/April. It just seems to fit the timeline right. Between then... likely some booster packs and a new Super Booster, one being timed for Halloween I think. Again, just feels right to me.
if they do another low lvl remake..then they clearly arent reading the forums.
The news I'm dreading most is "which costume code did I miss out on this time?"
If I find out they're giving away a PPD Justicar costume code I'll drive to PAX right now.

Well, I know there'll be at least one announcement that will please folks.
That is, if what I think is being announced is still being announced and has not been replaced by an announcement of an announcement to be announced at a later date.
Castle rocks.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Anyway...expecting Issue 19 stuff mostly, will be interesting to hear about that.
Hopefully someone is kind enough to post/twit some of the announcements and highlights. I can already tell that I'm going to get nothing done on Saturday other than constantly refreshing my internet browser.
Dr. Todt's theme.
