These days, AE farms aren't like the stupid exp generating exploits we had in the past. In fact, they're pretty much the same setup as the well known non-AE farming missions (pick an outdoor map, find some easy enemies, profit). People farm in AE because, in general, tickets provide better income than drops, though the latter gives you a higher chance of a really big payoff.

There are lots of people here that can help, and would help, if you're willing to take the time to put together a spec build in Mids. We do it all the time--for free!

I'm trying to LEARN it. It's not exactly easy though. I hear alot of people talking about Soft Cap and Procs and 5 master hero badges. Lots of this stuff I have not a clue of. I know how to load builds onto mids, and copy them, but not a clue how to load my current builds. I also have no idea what exactly to look for. Wish someone could talk to me in person and explain....

I'd back my Controller or Dominator over a brute/scrapper farmer any day...

My Fire/Kin Solo's +3/x8 and it's fast, very fast.

non immobilising farming is messy and reduces efficiency.

It's easy: ask, ask, ask
and
use Paragonwiki and the forumsearch

1. Softcap:

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Defense_Effectiveness

2. Procs:

3. master hero badges? Do you mean the Accolades? If yes:

What to aim in a build depends on the At, Powersets and for what you wanna use the Toon. So before anyone can give you advice we have to know these facts.

Hmmmm so the tank I use to farm doesnt even get an honerable mention =( I farm BM +3x8 with my Ice/Fire tank. Easily capped defense, endless endurance, and Fire's Combust/FSC/Fireball AoE combo. I must be doing it wrong.....

I would've chosen my Fire/Psi over anything else before the Dom changes, but not anymore. As far as not having immobilizes, it's not messy if you have a taunt aura which Brutes, Tanks, and some Scrappers get.

My SS/Fire rakes in about 650k inf/minute (almost 40 mil inf/hour) in normal content and eclipses almost 2 mil inf/minute in certain AE farms. I'd like to see a Fire/Kin or Dom do that.

Why farm at +3?

Beyond the links Atago gave you I'd suggest reading through the guide section and a lot of the threads here. There is a huge amount of information to be found. Some of it may take a bit of weeding through, but you'll learn a lot and it will help you to form an idea of what your priorities are for your characters.

Welcome back to the game.

Lately I've been using my SS/Fire/Mu Brute running a certian "Non-explotive" AE farm clearing about 5mill per very quick run (less than 10mins) and I've been doing quite well with mid range silver rolls 20-30 recipes and low lvl Bronze rolls. I've had 3 +regen proc in the last hour, quite a few Erradication/kinetic combat recipes, and other 5-10+ mill each recipes. Am I doing that right?

using dreck, wolves, demons, council or bm map its still is today
Not that it matters now, but fire/fire couldn't even begin to touch what an INV/anythingwithanAOE could do on a farm map in the old days. Heck, even the AOE part was optional until they fixed mob stacking.

Because the poster's statement was inaccurate. I mentioned it wasn't important now to deflect any potential snark, and to show that while I disagreed, it wasn't a big deal.

That work for you?

Haha! I remember mob stacking with no taunt limit. Jab, punch, haymaker, KOB hitting the 300 or so mobs in the stack. That was awesome. I miss those days.

Hey, whatd'ya know? A fond memory, shared experience, communication. Other good reasons to type something in an internet forum.

Yeah, I loved the old tankers. Every time I log in, my Inv/Axe is staring at me just begging to be taken out of mothballs. *sigh*

IIRC, the best rolls money wise are 35-39 Bronze. The average earnings beat any other farming (though it's still horribly slow compared to marketeering).

I remember the pre-agrocap tanks herding entire maps or close to it into a dumpster and AOE's causing super lag lol.

Those were the good old days, wish they could give them back via ouroboros missions

not quite ...see the best farming tank was and is a fire/fire. ill give you the fact that back then invul was better in taking damage

but does that make it a better farming tank?...um..no!

so although its was nice to mention. your post is off topic

invul /anything vs a fire/fire/prye tank cant outdamage crap and if you think it can...prove it to me now or move on.

I thought the fire/ice were great. When burn and ice patch were up it was fun to watch a bunch of dieing and flopping around ninjas.
