This thread is awesome because Quesada is responsible for every **** decision Loeb makes, apparently.

From what I have read online, the Ross we see in all interaction with the red hulk is indeed a LMD.

I happened to see the first trade at my local library the other day. After Rulk is defeated LMD Ross delivers the line"most importantly, you let YOURSELF down". Methinks this is meant to be a clue.

Though this all still adds up to the current level of Marvel cheep trick. This right up there with Ronin being Echo in a man suit,Menace being Harry's girlfriend transformed into an ugly renascence fair/goth male(dropped about as soon as the mystery was revealed).

I miss Quesada when he was just an artist.

There was a Hulk that was powered by cosmic energy, a Hulk-bot built by....the Asgardians, I think? That was running around and causing confusion also. Banner did the big smash on it.

to be honest it depends on who you talk to. for me it was just a quick jab at the "trilogy" because while the 3 stories had their moments, i think they're pretty bad and are on the same level as stuff like Secret Invasion or Civil War. The first one (complex) was a convoluted mess that wrapped poorly and and ended with a twist that came completely out of left field ruining a character ive liked since he was intro'd (Bishop). The second one (Messiah War) just seemed like a pointless crossover where nothing happened. No development, no explanations, the whole thing really just showing Scott to be an even bigger dick than normal and a way to remind folks "hey, we're still publishing a cable comic". The last one Second Coming, i thought was the best of the three and had a lot of awesome elements to it. One of those elements was neither Cable nor Hope's involvement. It felt like it was a good crossover that had the 'messiah angle' just tacked in there so that we could just get it out of the way. Lot of potential and a lot of good scenes in it, but the Cable/Hope storyline just dragged it down.

I'm not the biggest Hulk fan to begin with, though I followed Incredible Hulk leading up to the Hercules hostile takeover of the title, and found myself enjoying Hercules more than I ever did the Hulkster.
and sir, judging by your list, no Captain America, Iron Man, or Thor? or even Ultimate Spider-Man? son, i am disappoint!

well, as editor in chief, he IS the guy that signs off on the stories and says "yup, go do it!" so yeah, there is a reason he gets his share of flack.

My opinion: I haven't hated this whole Red Hulk business. I've just been a bit... meh... on it. I just wish the Hulk had actually been in it y'know.

Having said that, his return was pretty cool though.

So... yeah.

Loved his work on Ninjak - nothing after that really worked for me.

Not to mention he forces writers to stick in whatever half-***** plot twists he desires, simply to achieve results HE personally deems necessary.

Yeah...
Isn't it always a general who becomes a metahuman monster in comic books?

General Wade Eiling injected himself with the 'Captain Nazi' serum in JLU in order to 'protect' the world from the Justice League.

Yeah, that schmuck was ab out as un-American as you can get while still being a US citizen. He needed a beatdown from Capt. Marvel AND Superman for his actions... at the same time.

You see it is ironic and social commentary when someone in the military turns against a hero for the good of the USA and humanity.

Oh I know, and it points out that the military solution is not always the best as well as that the way to defeat the enemy is not to become the enemy.

I got all the commentary in it, and was pretty disgusted by the character, though not surprised.

I was just avoiding all that and saying the truth. The schmuck deserved a beat down for nearly killing civilians and heroes alike.

Unfortunately the Shaggy Man, which is who The General is based on, given their similar appearances and alter-ego, is basically unbeatable. The best the JLA could ever hope for was keeping him contained and away from civilization.

JLU more or less mimicked what happened in the comics too, since Eiling downloaded his consciousness into the Shaggy Man in order to be able to thwump the JLA. they ended up leaving him on an asteroid since he couldnt be killed or held.

I was being sarcastic. Forgot the

It is basically the easiest what to make that sorta commentary and comes across as somewhat lazy. At least, in my opinion.

I liked the shoe.

Either way, this Red Hulk debacle was taken WAY to far. As I have said before, he broke far to many pieces of canon. How could someone as unworthy as Red Hulk actually pick up and use MjĒ«llnir against Thor himself? Punching a Watcher? He broke so many conventions it was not funny, and he served not the country's best interest, but quite often his own vengeance. It would explain the weapons sized for his hands though.

As sad as I am to say this, right now, I just don't want to read any comic. Quesada has killed Marvel for me, and DC has been dead for a long time due to the Crisis on Infinite Earths. I am now wishing Marvel would do the same thing. Anyhow, the mystery has been solved.

I am bored again.

I would have thought the Hulk is your favorite comic to read, what with the pants ripping. As close to a pantless superhero we are ever going to get! At least, male superhero.

Just pick up anything from DC that has "Johns," "Waid," "Rucka," "Dini," "Brubaker," "Simone," or "Busiek" on it.

Loeb and Morrison are fine before their respective full-retard periods.

Morrison had a full retarded Phase?

did he do something as bad as life in the universe originated on earth first? or that emotions have colors?
