I'm getting a lot closer to that than I ever figured I would.

If Bendis gets his mitts on Marvelman when they bring him into the main universe, I'll be down to a couple X-Books (Uncanny, Legacy, X-Men and Namor) then possibly Thunderbolts and Daredevil (pending Shadowland fallout anyway). That's a fraction of what I was getting a couple years ago.

Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.

good luck D.B.B.

It's how some people simply live with themselves by standing by an ideal. It can get bad of course, but as long as no one is injured by my choice other than the industry I am spurning, then there is no harm. Even then, unless enough people make the same choice, 1 person will not hurt the industry. I can just sleep better at night, and not go into frothing rages at Quesada's name.

I know I don't purchase Marvel any longer...or DC.

But I still pick up comics:

Gold Digger, for the American list

and I'm liking Rumiko Takahashi's new book Rin-ne, looks much less saga-rific than Inu Yasha was, a step back to the Ranma days.

Right on.

But still. Good comics that never done no wrong are hurting!

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

I'm also going to take a chance at the opportunity I just noted in this statement to suggest my own books, they're novels and short stories rather than comics, but Bystander at least was originally conceived for comics.

more power to you for your choice, and i dont mean to come across like im belittling the option to simply not pick titles up. but id just like to note that the event that caused you to stop reading them was so long ago, it might be worth picking up some of the current crop to see if they're worth getting. but this is just me trying to get more folks to read the stuff i like so it doesn't get canceled.

I know, it's a wierd thing to nit-pick out of the whole story, but it still bothers me.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'll tolerate all sorts of plot inanity, but a counter-intuitive detail like that bugs the heck outta me.

In this case, my impression is that Q and co. may have no idea were they will be going with any given idea when they initially farm it out to the production teams.

It was her death that triggered Banner's fall from grace that helped get him booted and tricked off this planet.

Wait... sorry Logic. This is Joe Q's Marvel, an artist who is not a writer. My bad. It has to look cool and make no sense.
Not to mention the fact that Betty should have become the Harpy again if exposed to gamma rays, but that's beside the point.

Really, besides a few independent titles, you are not missing much.

Probably the most fun series I'm reading. It reminds me why I still like Comics.
