Get away from that computer once in a while!

Opinions are like bottoms, we all have one, and they usually stink.

When I preordered City of Villains, I got a three-day head start. For the entire game, I might add. I fail to see why those who pre-purchased can't get a head start today. Not to mention the fact that they could simply list Going Rogue on the PlayNC store as they said they would either way.

At the end of the day, I'd rather have it all done today, than having to sit on my hands all day tomorrow, too. I'm off work, people!
It all comes down to entitlement issues I suppose. Some people who pre-ordered the game, although they have been able to use two of the new powersets for the past couple of months, feel entitled to even more extras, such as perhaps early access (even though they already received early access to GR beta), and other compensation (like getting the Item Pack for free because GR was "delayed").

Meanwhile, those in the camp the pre-ordered from retail are entitled to free RL and in-game items in addition to the GR Items Pack, to the lament of those that pre-ordered the game.

So which camp is right? Which party has more entitlement to than the other? Who's the better fan? What metric shall we use?

The truth is: a per-order is a pre-order. Neither party is more entitled than the other, regardless of the justification. I'd agree with your premise if there was a pre-order launch in retail like there was for CoV... but there wasn't.

See, this is what I've failed to wrap my head around all week. Why take down your bids? Did they not say everything was going to be dropped in your transaction inventory with the listing fee returned? Why pull them down, then? Fear that they'll "disappear?"

I've had it up to here with doomsaying about a future of missing items. That same fear is why the market's been up a creek all last week. Everyone's bids will be waiting for them when the servers launch back up.

Better safe than sorry? While I have no doubt they would restore lost inf and items, that might take time and I hate waiting.

total kick to the gut

Don't care about markets. Absolute worst case scenario: Something goes wrong, and they roll it back. I can guarantee they tested the bajeezus out of that part of the conversion.

Badging in a PvP zone?

If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.

Better safe than sorry is what made the Market essentially shut down for a week. I've never been an opponent of safety, outside of cases where it's hugely detrimental to my enjoyment, as well as that of other people.

One of the bad things about having an economy - it takes players to run it, and if players get spooked with irrational fear, it dies. And then we can't blame the developers for it. We can only blame the players.

My wife is gonna be mad. I got hers from GameStop and mine through the pre-order here.

Sounds just like real life's markets.

But honestly player psychology has been a major reason why the Black Market has behaved oddly for years compared to Wentworths.

This is odd. Weren't the Alpha and Omega costumes supposed to be the only GR-only costumes? I logged into the character creator and couldn't find any of the new costume pieces.

Heh, thanks. At least college will keep me occupied tonight, and I can pick up my box tomorrow after classes.
