Extended maintenance = Early GR?

The only thing I can remember them surprising us with early was the first zombie invasion - which was a pretty epic surprise

I think it more likely they'll turn it on about midnight if they were going to be nice maybe it'll be just i18 after the maint? and then GR content after.

Hmmm... it would be nice if they released GR a day early. Well, to the people who beta tested it at least *shrugs*

I'm suspecting that it's just that there's so much going on, they need two days to do all the maintenance.
EDIT: BTW, 672 mb patch going on right now. Same size as the pre-download. Meaningful? I haven't a clue.

Well this isn't good. When I went to the log-in screen, my game windows size was reduced. There are 2 big black walls on each side of the game screen.

That's because the game now accommodates wide screens a little better. For the screens that are pre-formatted to be square like the login screen, they will be displayed as square in the center of the screen instead of stretched out and distorted.
Once you get in game, it should utilize the full width of the screen, and without distorting anything.
Sounds like they may be doing another pre-load but I wouldn't look for anything GR or I18 related to actually be accessible before tomorrow.

Also, the reason there's black bars on the sides of the screen now is because the backgrounds don't stretch to widescreen monitors anymore.
My login screen has been reduced to half my screen as well. Fingers crossed for GR today as well.

Yup, that's the Going Rogue login Screen, so that's Going Rogue. We'll see when the actual features will be enabled, but that's the Going Rogue interface.

Rather, replace "Going Rogue" with "Issue 18" everywhere in the above post.

Wondering if there's any chance in hell that we might get GR after today's Server maintenance is over.
Has that ever happened before?
I did note that after DLing the new patch, the new login screen is the same type that was there for GR, not the older kind.
Is downtime scheduled for tomorrow?
