My Dilemma

First off, I love this game. I have been playing it pretty much from the start and it has consumed a great part of my free time.

But recently I just haven't been feeling it. I log on, floofle about for a bit and then just can't summon the desire to play on. I actually got very sad when I realised this... apathy.

So here it is; how can I get back in to enjoying my time in paragon again. Or have I just finally reached the end of my stay here?

Agreed, been in this game for 6 years, somebody put a pneumatic drill thru my cable connection a while back and gave me an enforced 6 weeks off. That meant as soon as I got back on, I was back and more enthusiastic than ever.

Been there, done that Days_. Have taken some breaks from game and I can tell you it helps.

Yep, if you're not feeling it, take a break for a while. I've done this a couple of times before (although from changes in the RealLife™ engine), and it's always been refreshing to pop back to Atlas Park after an extended break.

Besides, I doubt there will be anything different going on here for a month or so anyway

Yea give it a break, it does wonders one way or the other.

You either miss it and start again or realise your sick of it and duff it all together

Taking a break is a good idea.

Currently, I'm on an enforced break as I've just moved and am waiting for my isp to turn up.

Funny though...no struggling to get teams together, no thinking back to the "good old days", hmmm at the moment not missing it as much as I have before, never thought I'd say that.

Take a break, go on Steam, buy or restart some massive game you never got around to trying / completing for a few months.



Doing the same at the moment, haven't been bothered logging into CoH for about 2 weeks, instead I'm wandering around wastelands shooting zombies in the head.

I'd say put your feet up, have a glass of wine, and throw rocks at the kids who've been infesting your garden.

I quite regularly take breaks from the game, Most recent one was from last September til around March.

Even then only started playing consistently again over the last month and loving it once more!

Just take some time off, wait for the cravings to kick in and let the addiction consume you once more*

I have logged in a couple of times over the past few days. Started a new character which seemed to help. Once they get a few SF's under their belt I will feel happier.


But for the moment I am taking a wee break to do something important in real life. Get Married!
