would it be cool have a action figure
That depends. How many people are with you?
No capitalization or punctuation, doesn't know the difference between there, they're, and their.
Not a great start to your forum posting career.
That having been said, yes it would be awesome to have figurines made of your toons, but production costs would be prohibitive.
Hello, my name is @Caligdoiel and I'm an altoholic.
It would be nice to have but I don't think NCSoft or Paragon studios will offering this to its playerbase anytime soon, or at all. As Caligdoiel pointed out the cost of production is one factor. I think another problem is exporting player character data off the game servers and moving it on to another completely different system. I think when Figureprints came out for WoW or sometime after it one of the devs said that it would be nice to offer something like that to players but one of the problems they ran across was exporting the player data off the game servers.

The UK office was looking into this just before it got nuked from on high by NC central. I believe that they'd even found someone who could produce the sculptures too I think.
Shame, I would have liked to have seen what they came up with.

See i couldnt see it being terribly hard to do, generic female and male charecters in several colours, then use a selection of addon parts to make your charecter lol.
Like a Mr. Potato Head.
exactly lol
But doesn't all the costume data get exported every time you 'Save' a costume? Shouldn't be that hard these days.

Let me see if I can find the dev quote I'm thinking it was either BAB or Posi that might have said it

You could potentially make it like Warhammer 40k, where you have a bunch of generic pieces that you attach to each other and then paint to make unique variants. Just throwing my 2 cents in.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?
Personally, I'd be content with figures of the major NPCs.

There was actually a fairly intensive discussion of this possibility a while ago on Black Pebble's marketing thread. The results, as I recall them: Yes, it is possible to export character models from the game in a format that other programs can use. However, the character models are not in a form that can be easily translated into figurines:
- They include sheets of material that have zero thickness.
- They do not have any geometry for clothing - it would have to be painted on.
- They are rough and polygonal in shape, and would need sanding down to look good.
For these reasons, they would be considerably more difficult and expensive to create than WoW character figurines, which already are in the hundred-dollar range. Because of the high price and low volume, the work necessary to make it possible might not be economically viable.
If it were, though, I'd consider buying one.

A better algorithm for ordering MA arcs
I'd definitely buy one of my main. That'd be too cool.

I just remembered that Eden Studios (the guys that were supposed to release a CoV PnP RPG), stated that there was a company that would be making mini's for their game. Unfortunately the game never happened (and probably never will).
There are some of the Deviant Art crew that do this. Aren't there? Seems like I've seen people post threads and offer the services for commission.

I've been waiting for someone to link something like that but alas no.

In the future, say with CoH 2, it would be nice if the Devs included some sort of export code that allowed for rapid prototyping (aka 3D printing) of figurines. I don't know if there is a standardization of code in that technology at the moment (probably not), but the costs have been coming down quite a bit over the past few years. A few years ago someone even figured out a way to do it with clay, so you can actually get a kiln-fired ceramic object from the process. I'd personally want a plastic figurine, but the wide scale of innovation from numerous materials to size (Audi uses RP to make some of their show cars) has really opened up the field.
I think it's only a matter of time before such a thing is offered en masse to MMO players.

Did it awhile ago (well more of a statue than action figure), was a bit pricey though
Nuclear Toast actually was the first person I remeber having had a figure done, and IIRC several people have went out and purchased possable figures and reddressed them into thier characters.

For awhile, Harmonix was partnered with a company offering 3D sculptures of your Rock Band characters. I think they were about $79 each, though. Kind of cool, but looked sort of grainy instead of shiny.
Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!
Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.
i think it would be cool to action figure of my main hero an villain toon would be nice lol i dont know just wanna see what people would say xD
