Wow there are some really great characters posted here. That High Jinks character looks great.

I hope y'all aren't tired of me posting yet (or the poorly Photoshopped info boxes that I've been doing, too lazy to finish masking the ring around the boxes).

This is my Ice/Rad troller.

Here's a little guy I'm working on now. ^.^

(In case the image text is too small)
When the temple guardian Kabuto was constructed out of gears and cogs by the God Hachiman, it was little more than a mindless clockwork golem. Realizing that he could not always be there to guide his creation, Hachiman eventually bestowed Kabuto with autonomy, wisdom and the ability to self repair and upgrade. As the centuries passed, Kabuto remained a faithful to its temple and never mistook an innocent for anything but. During a great war, however, its temple was destroyed and it was left without purpose. It did not seek revenge because it had never been given the desire for such things, instead it wandered the countryside seeking a new meaning. Eventually it was adopted by the soul society and found new purpose heralding departed souls to the other world.

As the decades passed, Kabuto has upgraded itself to a near futuristic level. However it seems intent to retain its samurai trappings and Tsurugi based sword originally bestowed upon it by Hachiman.

The soul society thing was written in after I joined up with a SG based around the Soul Society from Bleach. It seemed like a neat direction. :3

I'm not much for RP, but I do enjoy writing concepts. I don't really feel like doing a bunch of cropping, so I'll just copy the bios in.

Overnight:

Hmm, guess the contrast doesn't come through very well. Should be deep red and grey.

Ever wondered why the Malta Group has no female gunslingers?

Well, you're looking at the reason. I was operative Delta Red 1-2-1, the first, and as far as I know only, woman ever to make Special Qualification Marksman.

Malta's not so bad, you know; not as bad as their rep anyway. I can't understand why people are surprised other governments fund them; not every country is fortunate enough to have Statesman running around wearing its flag.

It's quite a boys' club, though. One of my superiors wasn't great at taking hints, and eventually I had to let him down... forcefully. After that, well, let's just say that a nice, quiet retirement wasn't on the table.

They said I was crazy to put on the cape. But it keeps the lights on, and there aren't exactly a ton of gigs that are a good fit for my skill set.

Besides, I *like* crazy.

Supers are treated a little differently in Spain. These are the people who gave us Zorro, after all; their heroes can be a bit more reckless, and a pretty smile and a curvy figure will let a villain get away with, if not murder, then at least grand theft. But level six city blocks in a running battle with police, and La Guardia Civil will turn the heat up so high that even la chica del numero uno del fuego en Espana can't stand it.

Overnight, the mutant demonized in the Spanish media as 'La Guerra Nuclearra'—Nuclear War—went from nationally known cult celebrity to wanted criminal. Time for a change of scenery, and the Rogue Isles are the perfect place.

@Dysc, on virtue:
Virtue blues: Overnight (DP/MM), Kid Ridiculous (FC/rad), Panorama (Ill/time)
Virtue reds: Block Party (SS/SD), Goldcrush (earth/fire), Deadwire (claws/elec), Snowcrush (ice/kin)

So, this is a character I put together after reading up on Mass Effect's biotics, and thinking it was a really cool idea, but not really wanting to play a Gravity or Kinetics. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Thank you. This thread's got a lot of win in it, no?

A scrapper from Freedom I haven't played in forever...

And a corruptor from Justice I play on occasion...

If I could ever get the name Disavowed I'd love to move this guy to Virtue. He's got such swagger, perfect for rp'ing a mercernary-type.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Alright, my turn.

First up is Coldcrash, my first and main character, the corporate superhero:

Here's Webspider, my power-hungry, two-faced Crab Spider:

And here's Maximal, my sentient space robot guy:

I actually think I like my characters a lot more than I realized I did... because I sat down to only post my favorites and almost went to get screens of nearly all of them. I'll probably post more later.

Wild Streak - Lv. 50(+3) Beast Mastery/Sonic Resonance Mastermind, Amnesty - Lv. 50 Staff Fighting/Dark Armor Stalker

Two of my most recent.

Sandmonger: Earth/Energy Dominator

Bernard Willaims is a cursed man. His lungs are filled with a poisonous uncurable and unknown disease. Using a breather filled with various snake anitvenoms to reduce the damage and pain caused by this curse. Besides his curse, he is also in possession of a scarab singet ring from the Valley of the Kings granting him power over silica, mostly known as sand. By day he's a professor at Aeon University by night he is the super villain Sandmonger, digging, stealing, or finding any artifact found in the Rogue Isles.

Shadowscythe: Claws/Dark Armor Scrapper

Leighton Slade had discovered an old hood and asked about it. She had hoped she never had to tell him about what his father became. She told him how the Luddites practiced and how fanatic they could be. She only asked one thing from Leighton, don't follow in your father's footsteps.

He didn't, but he did discover what his father had given him. The hood was some sort of relic, what it was he wasn't sure, but it showed him things of the past. Things about his father, things about the spiritual realm. He wasn't sure what it all meant, but recalled seeing his father with these scythe-like claws running through the Rogue Isles. "I wonder if I can do that?"

Here are two of my main characters in Virtue, and the only ones with completed bios:

My main hero Robot Ninja. Despite the uncreative name (he was made before I got into RP) he's actually perhaps my most well rounded and thought out character. Also perhaps my most heroic, as he has a firm stance on never taking another's life, no matter what the circumstance. If you were to ask him why he fights crime he would tell you "To give everyone a chance to live life, despite the fact that others out there believe they have the right to take that away."

Oldie but a goodie. New, more interesting costume on a toon I've always found it extremely difficult to play. :3

Always liked his concept, though... But then again I've always been a ninja fan... Goofy, I know, but I still like them. ^.^

I was playing around with the costume creator as many of us do. And I came up with a pretty cool "mecha" character. Very much a tank. Even wound up looking vaguely like a Gundam. Couldn't think of a decent character concept for it at first. Except I knew that it was totally robotic and no human was actually in the suit personally driving it. I thought at first to make it a classic "combat robot escapes from corporation" thing, but that's been done to death.

Then a couple of bits of info collided in my brain and gave me an idea. I rushed to log on and write up the new bio on the character and it all kinda... rushed out of me at once. I love it when that happens.

I present MACSS-01 - a "giant robot" (well about 9 feet tall qualifies, right?) designed and built by 5 genius teenagers. They take daily turns on a tele-presence rig piloting him around Paragon City righting crime and bashing evil!

Team MACSS is

Mark - the Hot-headed excitable kid who's kind of the "idea" guy. Lots of imagination.

Alex - The quieter, moody one. Friendly rival to Mark, it's a constant game of "hey! watch THIS!" between the two of them.

Colin - The logistics guy. Always fiddling with the tech and the numbers. The one who takes care of maintenance the most, and takes MACSS out the least, and is most upset when it comes back with damage...

Samantha - Colin's younger sister. They had to let her onto the team or she'd tell their parents what they're up to...

Sean - The computer software guy. Socially stunted. Knows far more about hacking computer systems than what is really good for him.

They're all students at Paragon Preparatory Institute, a school for gifted youngsters. They're all geniuses to one degree or another. PPI is west of the city outside of the warwalls.

They're "stoked" to use Mark's term, that they've gotten in with The Legendary supergroup. Working with real heroes! Plus, it gives them a place to park the MACSS bot when they want to hide it from the school...

BTW - I just wanted to say that before I saw your character I NEVER NOTICED before how much the Spider-Arms and the Robot Arms had in common! Well done on that! Really reinforces the whole "8 arms = Spider" theme of the Arachnos soldiers.

That's just amazingly cool. Reminds me a bit of a couple of characters from the Giant Robo anime (if you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about.)

Thank you very very much. ^.^ I've never seen much of Giant Robo, but I appreciate the compliment nonetheless. ^^

Here's another oldie but goodie that I've never bothered adding to the VV :3

Always wanted to create a Directorum Inquisitorum VG, but I'm not so good at managing player associations. :3

the description reads:

Maga was a mischievous and rebellious tomboy in medieval England. At just fourteen she posed as a boy and boarded a pirate boat headed to the Northern Isles. Maga fought many vikings with great many kills, but the boat was attacked by a sea creature and sunk. As the lone survivor Maga dived into the depths to kill the beast. But it was no sea creature, in fact a goodly witch. The witch saw Maga's true gender and enslaved her mind. Maga was made to do many goodly acts, and Maga reluctantly saved as many lives as she took. Maga was eventually struck down by an evil pirate while saving a small child. Refused from heaven for her evil intent she joined Satan below for a while, but Satan learned of her history, for her goodly acts Maga was banished back to Earth, without feeling, but not before she was able to acquire some rather unique "gifts" such as demon summoning. Now Maga kills all she sees in hopes of a future welcome to Hell.

I just got her to lvl 32 today. This demon MM has been one of my favorite characters.

, and some lovely artwork drawn of her.

Janet Foster/Peacebringer Forestar - transsexual hero I rolled a while ago, but recently converted to a Kheldian (intend to make some MA stories later on dealing with that). Something of a shrinking violet as there are very few people she's comfortable around, and even fewer that will get her to relax entirely. Nonetheless she's a lot of fun to play, although it does get frustrating when people twig she's T/s and immediatly associate it with futanari characters. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Currently redoing her VV page.

Her bio is very understated and extremely well written. Great job. A lot of people would have gone for shock value on this but I think this is an excellent portrayal of a character.

Thanks - the bio was actually one of the hardest parts for me as its original incarnation did make a big deal of the transgender themes. I went away for a bit though, deleting the description as it was before, and re-wrote it a few days later: I'm much happier with this one as Janet is a character who happens to be transgendered, rather than a transgendered character. If that makes sense.

Kheldian aside, out of all my characters she's the most established in reality - plus a fair chunk of personal experience - yet has had some of the more interesting conversations and interactions with other characters I know of. Though as I said it's very frustrating to have her categorised in a (faintly offensive) manner when I've gone to such pains to avoid that myself.

The most annoying thing is that the only way you'll really figure it out is by reading her VV page.
