Email system not working this morning?

Hello all.
Yesterday, I was having no problem sending emails with goodies attached to my alts.

This morning I sent off four, and never received any back.

They are stuck in cyberspace somewhere

I don't know if this is just me, or if the Devs are working on the system, or what...but just be careful today guys

Someone in the market forum mentioned this last night, shortly after I had logged off. While I was on, I'd sent quite a few e-mails to myself to clear up some recipe space on the character I was playing. It was working fine around 9:30pm EST, but the market forum post that said it wasn't working was closer to 10.

This morning when I log in, none of those e-mails that I sent are in my inbox like they were when I logged off last night.

The entire global chat system died around 2-2:30 (Central) last night too.
Not sure what's up with that.

Yep, upon further investigation it appears that e-mail is working just fine... as long as you send e-mails to a character name instead of a global name. Of course, you can't send attachments this way.

Hopefully once the global chat system comes back up any e-mails sent to global names will show up again.

Aw, I lost one enhancement to offline emails when I sent the mail before I realised whole mail thingy was down. The funny thing is that I don't even remember anymore if it was impervious skin: +mez resist or impervium armor: +psionic resist so I can't probably even ask support to help with this.

Teaches me to pay more attention. Still, annoying.

Luckily I didn't try to mail the +kb prot enhancement that the guy also has.

Ouch. Hopefully support can do something about that for you. Not like it was your folly after all.

I lost 118 Million, with "zero" response from the Gms


It's 106 miles to Grandville, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing faceless helmets

Same issue here. Tried sending a recipe to my own global last night, and it vanished into the ether. Then I noticed that global chat was down, and assumed the emails would show up when chat came back up, but no such luck. Mine was just a level 33 Scirocco's recipe, so no major loss, but still rather irksome. Makes me nervous about sending anything else.

Will we get our things back? I had 355mill and an LotG in an e-mail!

*Sigh of Relief* It's all there, yall scared me there for a sec , but I think Imma go ahead and get that stuff out of the email system...

I lost 18 mil this morning. Put in a ticket to support. No reply yet. Apparently they must think I am one of those farmers and 18 mil means nothing. It was all I had on that character and I want it back.

Got this issue since Friday as well...

On Friday, I mailed miself enhancements/influence while globals are up. Try to get to them while globals are down, no go. The emails are gone. Once globals are back up again, I find the emails have reappeared. So yay!

However.... I mailed myself 6 enhancements with around 25 Mil influence yesterday before realizing that the globals were off again. So the emails disapear. I figured I'd wait till the globals would be back online, but once they did come back.... no go. Emails lost...

File a support ticket on the PlayNC support site.

It will likely get escalated to a Senior GM so won't be looked at until tomorrow along with all of the others like this. It may take some time for them to research and restore (if they can).


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

For those who lost items: Is Global Chat back up? If so, have you checked to see if the items are there?

Friday night, when the Globals went down, I had an e-mail with an attachment. Tried to claim it, and couldn't. Didn't know Globals were down, and got frustrated that I couldn't claim it. Finally, I clicked the button to return it, and it was gone. Not long after, I realized that Globals were down. When they came back up, my e-mail was back, with the attachment.

Now, it might be because I sent it from @Global to my @Global, so "returning" it placed it back into my inbox. If you sent it to @Global from @Global, see if it's back in your inbox. If you sent it to @Global from @Global 2, check that account, to see if it's there.

If it's not, keep fighting with support.

I had a very odd thing happen that has to be related to this situation. Since Thursday, I've sent well over 23 recipe attachments (working on the crafting badges) from my new character to a lvl 50 for storage until the BM comes back up and I can access salvage, and sent 1 million infamy from the same lvl 50 to the same new character. Claimed the 1 million infamay with a smile and proceeded to use it for crafting enhancements, buying enhancements, etc, until this morning when I tried to craft a lvl 25 end red recipe that had dropped and my inventory showed that I didn't have enough influence to craft it! when I logged off yesterday, I had over 825,000 inf left from that transfer on Thursday, plus what I had earned through playing. So, not only have I lost the recipe's I sent, but the infamy that was sent AND CLAIMED, is now gone as well. So far, I've not read of anyone else having this problem.....has anyone? I suspect it was probably much more noticeable in my case, because the new character was brand new and didn't have any money at all, so I feel an 800k loss a little more than I would on a higher level character with multiple millions. Am anxious to hear if anyone else has had this problem.

Once it's delivered, it should be safe. But if you send it while globals are off, it's anyone's guess.

Just a quick update.

Still dont have my items back. I did receive 2 respones from support over the week end, but both basically saying that they will escalate mt petition and will get back to me, due to "above normale amount of petitions" being sent in.

I discovered that Global Chat is down only on some servers (Guardian being one) and up on other servers (Triumph and Virtue being up for me). My e-mail and the e-mailed items were apparently nonexistent on Guardian, but I managed to grab my "lost" items on Triumph, and mailed some influence successfully from Virtue to Triumph.
