what's Ypur Favorite part of I-17 ????
E-mail attachments.
To be able to send money and enhancements to your alts, without having a 2nd player or an account.
I could always get a person to do the transfer for me, but most of the time they thought they'd be funny ************* and delay the transfer by going "oh I'm going now, thanks for the money, ha ha just kidding" because after 28th time it got pretty old.
So yeah, about ******* time!
That it is finally here . After the chaotic GM spawning the other night getting me upset due to a busy server ( Virtue ) , it was a breath of fresh air to finally log on after the patch , to see a whole new game .
I personally like the interface in WW , did not bother me one bit . Need to run the first part of Posi , the second is just awesome with the attention to detail in the sewers , and the boss at the very end of the TF is truly a punk , but after being defeated by him once , the other two heroes and I finally kicked his tail !! Much fun had by all for sure .
Love the non lag also and the shorter distances for missions especially since I use NJR for most of my toons .
Just typing this out makes me wish I was at home playing now .
Great job DEVS , hears hoping for 6 more years of fun
The new badge names and descriptions are quite nice. I think my favorite is the description for Flying Shark -- I don't want to spoil it but it's an awesome mental image of a battle that I wish we could see recreated in-game.

"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
the crashes and bugs that came with this issue that tons of people are now having. what really gets me is how i was fine the day before issue 17..one day really does make a difference
yeah its great alright!
shouldnt we have been warned about these things?..that way if i have to keep crashing i wouldnt have bought gr preorder yet and waited till they fixed it.
feeling really ripped off at the moment ..thanks cox! from a 6 years customer!
Lots of fun. I'd have more if my <censored> ATI card didn't have to go in for an RMA.... and then my 9800 died in another machine.
Loving most of it though.
With the auction house UI's I am gonna have to agree with mac...My biggest pet peeve is if you type in "Decimation" or whatever into a search field you get recipes and enhancements. It seems that way even if you have Recipes selected in the category window. This really does seem counterintuitive. Make is so that if you have recipes picked in the category selection that is all that comes up in searches and I would be a lot happier about the new UI.
|
I am going to strongly disagree here - from a functionality standpoint (as well as a "looks" standpoint) the new UI is pretty terrible. It's got some nice features like the ability to find all savage required for a recipe, but it's clunky, counter-intuitive, and some of the ways it works will require me to re-learn how to search for items. For example, let's say I type "Decimation" into the search box (and have autocomplete turned off, since with it on I can't search for partial matches). I'll get both recipes and enhancements. With the old market system I could click the "recipes" or "enhancements" categories on the left side to filter my search results, but now those same buttons act as search-starters.

A stance which sounds eminently sensible to me, given the gibbering levels of insanity which can tend to happen on these boards.

The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.

Back on topic (what?! threads can be un-derailed???), consider me suitably impressed with the new tech utilized in the redside arcs (haven't done anything blueside yet). Decisions and consequences, what happened after the final battle (huge holy crap moment; shades of an old school Nintendo franchise), what happened in the final mission (yesssssssss).
In short -- more like this please. I know it's a ridiculous pipe dream but it would be awesome to see some legacy content updated (however slowly) to utilize some of this new tech where appropriate. I haven't done it yet, but I know that the new Posi TF uses it, and that's a Good Thing. There's definitely a number of arcs redside that could use the decision mechanic where it could be dropped in pretty seamlessly, since some of those arcs actually do allow you a choice on some level (i.e., destroy the generators or not).
And hey, Calvin Scott TF in Ouro? Pretty please?

Well, let's see...
I haven't had a lot of time to play around with i17 yet, but so far I've enjoyed the map markers for the last glowie/foes.
I took a 10th level corr on a run with three friends running brand new demon MMs and that was almost as cake-walky as the time I was on an all-VEAT team. We really should have upped the difficulty when we started making jokes like:
"I could have sworn I saw a LongBow Warden in that group..."
"You blinked, didn't you?"
The set really looks nice, I can't wait to try one out, that and some pistolers.
I spent a little bit of time poking about with the settings to get the graphics working well as my system isn't brand new nor cutting edge and the game looks pretty nice now, even if not top of the line.

D-Mac is funny. Even though I'm never gonna give him a high five. They need to allow you to make fun of his taste in ringtones.
"All problems can be solved by throwing enough scrappers at it."
@Riez on Virtue, Protector, Champion, and Exalted server.
It's really hard to choose. However, I've got to say, the quality of the missions added in. The "Dark Mirror" arc missions are really well written and incorporate some stuff that really gives a sense of tension and epicness to the story. The final boss fight of the hero arc was a fun challenge for my scrapper because it wasn't just "stand there and pound on each other until one of you falls over." Had to pay attention, had to think a bit more.
But... the new Positron Task Force(s). They've just gone from being my least favorite TF to my favorite. I'd love it if the other signature task forces got this treatment.
I'm really hoping the quality of the missions and the Posi TF are indicative of both the quality and types of missions we'll be facing in GR.

My favorite part is how the market is down.
I also like how the enhancement window is ugly to look at and hard to read now.
I do like the email attachment feature, but it should have been in the game years ago.

Email system first of all, finally I can transfer to my alts and friends without using the market.
New explores and their associated accolades, had a genuinely good laugh at "IP Address" being the accolade for that zone, well done!
The new Market gets a passing grade on me; I like some aspects (the autocomplete) and the speed of access and dislike some (the vertical listing mostly) but it's fair.
Haven't had time to do the new hero/villain arcs. New Posi gets a B+, it's fun but chained objectives cut down on the speeding aspect unfortunately. A good issue so far, looking for more from this crew.
P.S. Please stop fiddling with the Arena interface. Was so used to hitting Exit in the upper left, found it replaced by the "Score" function with Exit at the bottom of the scoresheet, and some of the tabs have been moved around. Please just add more maps and a No Basic Resists tab while examining over and under performance of some sets.

You're upset because the devs didn't personally warn you that you would have issues running the game? If only we had been given a preview of I17...some sort of Server where we could Test everything and make sure it was working right...

b..it was already said by the devs they know theres problems and they pushed it so there would be something and their working on it.posted the day issue 17 was pushed out.i love it when they actually admit they wernt ready but did it anyways
c..sorry man but open beta was like 1 or 2 weeks max then pushed out.i work for a living and cant be on 24/7 so i have to hope the devs dont push buggy garbage out on their customers without making sure the **** works first..clearly now even the market being down for 2 days until further notice makes your arguement even more worthless since that worked in open beta and is now dead in the water
d..some people still dont wanna go to test and do all the content before it hits live then have nothing to do...sorry you got so much time on your hands..maybe you can grab golden girl and get out of the house once in a while.
a...not in closed beta where it would have helped.thats for fanbois

Anyway, you don't need to be on Test 24/7 or even long at all to make sure it's working. If you had logged onto Test, even for just a few minutes, you might (and I say "might") have seen the same issues you have now, and could have taken another few minutes to send a bug report containing your system information so the devs would have had another data point. But clearly you're far too busy and far too important to take 10 minutes out of your busy life to do this.
And the market isn't dead, they willfully took it offline to correct a bug so you wouldn't lose your precious lewt.
The sad part is that you actually do have legitimate grievances (the market being down leaves me not wanting to play the game at all because my recipe inventory keeps filling up -- better than losing stuff though), you're just being so whiny about it.

The demon whip is really cool.
You know what? I like that some of the new Exploration badges require actual exploration. Sure, a lot of them are point-and-click "go to area, get badge, move on", but some of them leave you scratching your head wondering where it could be, until you finally find it in a hidden area you've never seen that's been in the game for years.
