Haven't had a chance to really enjoy it yet but so far two things stick out to me.

I love, 100% adore, our new personal bank account feature!!

The Protean mission was really intriguing as well.

Looking forward to trying more when I get home.

I was well impressed with all those demons running about in Mercy on Union. We almost ran out of enemies to slay for a while and it all worked so smoothly.
No doubt there will be problems because there always are but Good Job!

Kudos to Mr. Kay.

Sound is *huge* in any gaming or movie experience. Horror movies aren't nearly as scary without sound, action films feel lifeless, and CoH just opened a huge dimension. Combined with the subtler lighting effects, Paragon City feels more like a real place now. I was especially struck by that impression when I had zoomed the camera all the way out to look around -- it felt more like I was looking down on a street from a third-floor balcony than playing City of Heroes.

Makes me salivate over what the rumored CoH 2 will look like.

Damit, now i have to use the sound system when playing the game lol. if they've been improved then ill have to stop listening to music for these

I dig the sounds. There were a couple of times I peeked out my window thinking a car horn was someone at my house.

New Posi is a thousand times greater than old Posi, both story-wise and game play-wise. It loses it's merit farm appeal (high end/high damage builds could solo for a great merit/hour rate) but I can live with that.

I haven't tried to new lvl 20 arcs yet, but I do have a both a vill and hero in that range, so I'll check it out soon.

I mostly wish the market had color. The pasty whiteness of it is ugly as sin. I was kinda hoping blue for heroside and red or black for villains. I hope this Changes soon. (Or maybe even an option to allow us to control the color for our screens...wouldn't that be nice!)

Or merely normalizing to our current custom window settings would be appreciated. I personally set my HUD to match each character's theme. Adds a tiny little sumthin' sumthin' to each character.

While I'll still use the market, my marketeer days are over. With the introduction of this UI, the market aspect of the game has ceased being a draw for me.

Which is a shame, 'cuz it was a rather significant draw.
On the other hand, I can't tell you how much *better* the new interface is to me.

I run to Wentworths, drop the recipes I have gathered into the slot, and hit Find so I can sell them. OMG that's so much better then typing out the name and then scrolling through all the various recipes with the different enhancements and levels. Or worse opening each little tab under recipes and going to each recipe in turn. Selling things previously sucked.

Since I generate a lot of recipes and salvage from doing missions and just want to sell them off the new interface is awesome.

I prefer the new colours by far!

Both of these features mean I can focus more on playing and less on traveling.
Yeah, first thing I really noticed was that the early villain mission of clearing out infecteds was like... 1/3 the usual travel time. Love that.

The saying is, "Film is 50% sound".
I'm not entirely sure what the equation would be for video games, hehe... For an immersion freak like myself... no music, ambient sounds surrounding me... It's up there!
I definitely appreciate having more ambient sounds : )

That combined with shadows just brings a greater element of life to this game. I'm currently sacrificing some FPS for the shadows, but, so far, it is worth it.

My I-17 experience so far:

2nd computer will not run the game. Freezes up.

Nemesis staff animation is broken.

Various other graphic bugs and glitches. Hopefully some of this gets fixed in a week.

Haven't pre-ordered anything so I can't summon demons. Or fire pistols yet for that matter.

All of my catgirls have tails that swish now. ^_^ Also my canine defender Dog Is My Copilot. I forgot about Sewer Ratty though, need to get her a moving tail too.

Market Interface: bugs haven't hit me yet. It's... okay. Kind of confusing, but I'll probably get used to it, and has some nice advantages over the old one I guess.

I kept hearing car horns honking. Since when do Paragon cars come with horns?

Water and shadows look pretty. I lag more than before, of course. My gaming computer is long in the tooth.

Ran the first of the new Posi task forces. We all agreed it was cool. Took us almost 2 hours, but we had multiple team wipes due in part to a determined attempt to use no other strategy than, "Ready? No? Well I'm charging in right now anyway!" It was a SG-only TF so it's not like I can complain about others too much. ^_^ I do think that 11 merits is a bit low for that first TF, but I very much liked the changes, the new maps, the surprise enemies.

My level 50 scrapper jumped into his radio mission and found PPD Peacebringers (like in the villain Peregrine Island mayhem) but I wasn't allowed to target them.

total kick to the gut

For me, I enjoyed the new Positron TF (only ran the first half last night, planning the second later). The custom maps and rewrite of the story was very nice, as well as the new climax in the first half the Positron TF. (I just want to say I took out my double before my team mates took our theirs, I win!)

In the same vein, the two new Hero contacts involving duplicate me was enjoyable, and I'll be flashing back to that quite a bit. It's Merit / Minute ratio seems low compared to others, but it's so enjoyable I can't help it.

too bad having sound on caused lag in previous issues that ive just kept it off to keep the game going. Maybe someday i'll turn it back on.

I'm going to second this, one of my favorite parts of i17 is also the new music that was put in for the cutscenes in both Posi TF's and the new story arcs. Make sure your music is on when you're playing them!

My favorite part is no longer being able to use Wentworths or Email...and not being able to bug or petition it.

Yeah, best issue ever.

Ok...well the new Posi is pretty cool as is being able to see my reflection in a window. But....
