Is there any way to see our rep comments?

The rep system is pretty silly - I've never bothered to give any out to anyone at all - I prefer to just tell them in the thread that I agree/disagree with them

If you PMed mod, they might be able to tell you - I think they can trace comments.

One of the odd things about it, to me, is that if I would want to neg rep someone... I'm pretty sure that I would actually want to be reporting them.

So, again, it seems pointless.
Hehe, I have given positive rep... Although, usually only when someone comments on how they got neg rep'd for a post that I thought was either great or even just unoffensive and not worthy of negative rep.

*shrugs*

It is silly and I never think of it until someone mentions it.

I would like to issue a plea on behalf of Paragon's diminutive protectors, please watch where you step. We're four feet tall in a six foot tall world, we've been cast adrift in a sea of butts. -Pillbug

Just a follow up on my cluelessness about this system...

I always thought there was some sort of inbox for all rep, good and bad.
I'm sad to learn that there isn't... Because, after reading this thread, I did go and check some of my posts.
And I received some really nice positive rep that I never even knew I was given.

So, thank you to all the anonymous people out there who said nice things to me.

That being said... quote and reply to a post if you like it!
(Not this one though... anyone that quotes and replies to this one is a smelly dungselflinoidkin)

There used to be but since it was visible even if you had rep off people complained till it was removed.

It would be nice if they kept track of Positive comments made towards your posts in a little inbox, I could care less about the Negative, cause really you either agree with a person or don't. I also agree with the fact if the post is obscene or really not even meant to be on any of the boards then the person should be reported not -Rep.

True. We do have our share of people who can't take criticism, and our share of jerks who were abusing the system because they thought they could be rude with impunity. We also had a few like P_P who loudly complained whenever anyone neg repped her.

Actually what happened to P_P, she's been very quiet recently...

Don't say it's name or it will come back. That person is irritating and useless on every forum I've ever seen it on.

On-topic, I get a ton of negative rep and nasty comments about my sigfile. It makes me giggle, like they expect me to start talking about country music and homosexuality and the Bible and stuff just to annoy folks, despite being about as liberal as you can possibly be.

As a wise movie once said "You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions." If the guy mentions weapons in his sigfile, he's CLEARLY a super right winger and likely compensating for a small manhood, eh?

Around the 4th red bar I got sick of seeing it and turned it off.

Part of the reason there is the way the rep system works (at least as far as I can tell). It doesn't look like it's strictly a # of Pos - # of Neg = Total Rep. It appears instead that the higher a person's rep is, the more of an impact their own ratings have. So if you have 10 positive and 1 Negative but the positives are all from low rep folks, and that 1 negative is from someone with super high rep, your total rep can still be negative.

No she hasn't. Just do a search of her name and you'll see she's still posting in threads.

Actually you have to say the name of the one who will not be named three times to summon it.

I managed to go from 2 positive rep to 1 negative in the one week I was back on the forums, somehow

So I disabled it, because I know some people on these forums care entirely too much about some arbitrary pixels on a screen and would devalue my opinion solely because of it

Yes, but rather quietly. There's been no drama at all.

Actually no offense to the artist but that's not going to cause me to lose 1d100 SAN at all. It looks like an Ewok in a hoodie. (the joys of HP Lovecraft art. It's far easier to WRITE "unfathomable, noisome horror from beyond the stars" than it is to draw one.

I don't know if this is the reason she dropped off of peoples radar but a few weeks ago I called shenanigans on her story about why she still has a lifetime sub to CO by posting screenshots of her own posts on our forums back in Nov. when she told everyone she got a refund on her lifetime sub. I had gotten tired of her popping into the STO thread and spouting her Cryptic hate about a game she doesn't even play.

Actually, that's not the fault of the artist. There are no mortally crafted paints, canvases, or tools that can properly capture the sheer mind numbing horror of a Great Old One.

That's cuz Jack Kirby never tried to draw it.
