Why isn't fly faster than Ninja Run?

A few years ago somebody made a great post about using "gestalt powers". Basicly if you were willing to blow 2 power slots on something, the 2 powers combined to make 1 better power. i.e if you took Super Sped and Fly, you could fly faster. So on and so forth. It was a very well laid out post, with some really good suggestions. I'm sure the forum troll ate it by now (and the fan boys demanded it's utter destruction) but it was a good idea at the time.

I knew the speed of sound was in the ball park of 750 MPH without the need of google... But I'm a funny like that. Have alot of useless facts bouncing around in my head... And i didn't know it excatily... but now i do. heh.

I never took travel powers before and I still won't and don't even play the hours people are on to do task forces. Plus , yes fly should be way faster.

I've done every Shard TF, some multiple times, all without having fly. It's faster using the geysers than flying from point to point, as long as you know your way around the zone.

Something else I noticed with Fly is that there are vastly more ways to get temp powers for flight than there are for the other travel powers. I think mayhem/safeguard is the *only way other than Siren's Call to get temp super leap. Temp teleport is only available in Sirens and there isn't a temp super speed.

*I purposely left out the Arena temps since they can only be used in the Arena. Also, correct me if there's more available.
