New Mids' Update

Yay new Mids, thanks Stoney, and everyone else involved. I really appreciate your work on this. I feel lost without at least a basic plan in mids. Testing dual pistols felt strange without any way to even look at it in mids.

I hate to bring up bugs so soon, but I am having a problem with ninja run. I noticed NR and Rest don't show up until you place a power at level two or higher, which makes sense I guess. This seems to me to be a new feature of this build and I think it is related to my problem.

If I load a saved build from the previous version that has all it's powers placed Ninja Run doesn't show up, and there seems to be no way to force it to. If I load a saved file that has open power slots NR will show up, but if all power slots are filled there's no NR.

Removing a power and re-selecting it doesn't work, and neither does removing a power, saving and reloading.

The lack of NR on a build with all it's powers seems to be related to Mids not recognizing that the build has "leveled" past 2 already.

Edit to add that Rest does show up on a "complete" build when NR does not. So maybe it's not just based on the level 2+ flag, or whatever it is.

Regarding this new Update (and i also downloaded it from the CoH Titan network too) every time i try and update it, it comes up with an error message saying "Mids' Hero Designer has encountered a user-defined breakpoint" and i'm running it as administrator (i have windows 7) and was wondering if you know how to fix this.

Thanks for the update, but I've run into a bug:
When you select the Swap Ammo power it immediately refuses to let you place /any/ new slots into /any/ power.

Also, if you first select a different power, add a slot to it, then deselect the power and select Swap Ammo instead, the slots remain.

Oh keen, also nice to see the math error on my sword/shield char is fixed

Having a problem with the update.

Useing Win7 64 bit

Having a problrm opening a file or writing

C:\Program files (x86)\Titan Network\Mids Hero Designer\ICSharp.Code.SharpZipLib.dll

Even uninstalled and tried to reinstall, this now pops up to me

Someone mentioned they received a error when selecting Swap Ammo. I too have encountered the same thing. I'm going to lean to the side of it being a bug since its a new mechanic of Mids, and it was most likely overlooked.

Once you select Swap Ammo, it seems you can't add slots anywhere after that, nor add a new power. In order to work around this, change the type of build you are creating from Level Up Mode to Dynamic Mode, this is next to where you enter your name for the character.

If you use Dynamic Mode all the time, it won't be a iussue but for those who use Level Up Mode, like myself, after you choose the Swap Ammo power, change the Level up Mode to Dynamic, after you choose your next power, you can change the Dynamic Mode back to Level Up Mode and you are back on track.

It's a minor error, but very easily worked around.

Also, Stoney, on the Blaster Secondary, you are missing the Icon for Electrical Manipulation. Other than that, I haven't found anything else.

oh, nm, just grabbing the fresh one from cohtitan runs it. mids has been getting really buggy with how it updates lately (before I upgraded to win 7 it would bug out with XP :/), but i guess that's to be expected with 3 different versions of windows people are running instead of just trusty old XP anymore.

The new install defaults you into PvP mode. Not a bug but wanted to make note of it in case anyone else couldn't figure out where those random resistance values were coming from.

You are one of the members of this community that continues to impress me with their dedication to providing your time and talent for the rest of the group.

If anyones having any problems downloading either via the Mids updater or the titan network, dont click run, save it to desktop and then run it from there. I was getting a carpload of error messages, before saving to desktop and then running seemed to solve the problems.
