Oy, my apologies for not scouring 31 pages on this topic, but what IS in the item pack? I couldn't find the official description of what it contains anywhere.

For players who wish to purchase the Complete Collection Item Pack separately, the Item Pack has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $6.99 USD (€5.99 / £4.99). The Complete Collection Item Pack will only be available digitally, through NCsoft.com
Good price!

So, if we buy the Complete Collection (29.99€) we pay more than if we prepurchase now and the iems then (19.99 + 5.99 = 25.98)???

So, what's the point on the Complete Collection?

30 days of game time?

Good price.

But what I am most concerned is:

Will NCSOFT pressure the retailer on Latin America to actually put Going Rogue on sale?

Yes. I can get lost on a straight-line map.

If you read the original post by Avatea, they explain that the CC comes with COH/COV and is good for new players because of this, but the prepurchase or the standalone expansion are just the expansion and do not include COH/COV. So the advantage of CC over the standalone or prepurchase option is simply this: If you are a new player and don't want to have to buy COH and GR separately then this is very economical. Also, if you are a current player and want the month of game time included and don't want to prepurchase then it would also be a good option. Hope this helps!

I totally forgot the free month.

30 days of game time as Arctic Man said, and you also get a disc updated with every issue up to GR, which can save a lot of download time during a reinstall.

To those (EDIT RE: certain posts on page 30) whining about feeling slighted, you're entitled to your opinions, however you should realize that even veterans who have been with the game forever will get bored and leave. MMO's need a constant influx of new players to stay on top of the game and keep going. I know for a fact that if I was looking for a new game and saw a GR box on the shelf, I'd probably buy it to check it out.... then I'd get home and read that it's only an expansion and I need to purchase another box before I can even play... I'd bring it right back and return it, no question.

Heck, when the game first came out and I bought the CoH box, I brought it back and returned it because it required a credit card to even check out the costume creator.... some years later I decided to actually give it a try, this time already knowing that, and I've been playing now for about 3 years or so. I have 2 accounts for myself and my wife and son both have their own account... I also have all the boosters and the GR expansions on all except one of those accounts. If I were to add that all up, I'm quite sure it equals more than what you've spent, but does that really matter? In other words, since I spent more cash on this game, does that mean my opinion matters more than yours? because thats what it sounds like you're saying, correct me if I'm wrong, please.

New customers like everything in 1 package, and ESPECIALLY nowadays, people are looking for a deal... if a company can't offer those two things, then they aren't getting my business, and I'm sure they won't get a lot of business from others either. Paragon has made leaps and bounds in areas where other companies truly do gouge you.

Look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2... I bought it, it's a great game... has nowhere ... nowhere near the content of CoX and was $60 and now after about 3 months of the game being out, there's a "stimulus" expansion pack.... I'll tell you, the only "stimulus" is going in the developers pockets at $15 a pop for like 5 new maps and thats it. 3 of which are from Modern Warfare 1... so basically $15 for 2 new maps and 3 more i could access for free by changing a disc.... that my friend is gouging and slighting the customer IMO, what Paragon is doing isn't there by far.

Then again, perhaps you'd feel less slighted if they made new customers buy however many new boxes just to get going, who then wouldn't buy said multiple boxes and the vets will continually leave and soon (tm) the game servers will shut down. Then you can have the comfort of knowing all that money you spent on the game you loved playing went down the tubes because you can't even play it anymore, but at least those darn noobs didn't get a better deal than you... that would've been a tragedy, wouldn't it?

lighten up

I didn't get that he was asking with attitude just curious about the pricing.

But YMMV. I am actually very pleased with this pricing. My sister and I both bought a prepurchase and I was expecting (and willing) to pay 9.95 for the item pack.

I still have one account that has'nt bought yet and I will just get the complete pack for that on1 and have the best of both worlds.

Thank you NCSoft for the reasonable price!

Just an FYI to you Mystic, those posts you were referring to were posted back in March. No one has posted in this thread since then until just recently. So all the people you are referring to aren't watching this thread anymore most likely lol. This thread was raised from the dead by Yogi_Bare. lol

You cannot "pre-order" The Complete Collection, at least not through NCSoft. Certain retailers might allow you to reserve a copy ("pre-order", as it were), but you get nothing to play with until Going Rogue goes live in July.

If you do pre-order a boxed copy, you have the additional delay of having to wait for the box to be shipped to you or your local store, depending on the retailer. You can purchase a digital copy from NCSoft, but not until July.

Not a big deal TargetOne, but I have "pre-ordered" a lot of books and games in the last few years and I have ALWAYS gotten my products either the day before they are released in the stores or the same day, if I have it mailed directly to me. If I do it through a local store they also ALWAYS have made sure I got it on the release date.

I"m not sure if this has been discussed in other places. I looked and couldn't find it, but while calling support I asked them a question?

Can EXISTING good/evil characters go Rogue?

Answer: NO!

Apparently you MUST make a Praetorian and your actions will decide your alignment. So to go rogue, we all get to start off with all level 1s hehehe

I think support should perhaps stick to support - none of that info is correct

All avatars over level 20 can switch sides.

NONE of your actions in Praetoria will decide you alignment - Poistron said at Hero Con that all Praetorians will get a final choice to be a Hero or a Villain when they leave for Primal Earth.

Well said and backed up by several posts by Avatea, the last online "Q & A", as well as HeroCon.

For the Pre-order.... is there going to be a "head-start"?

Sometimes, I impress my boss. Sometimes, I impress myself. The rest of the time, I scare people. I can live with that.

It seems this is the only place I can post my issue. It was just announced that we should be able to download the new client for going rogue tonight, eventhough rogue will not be available till tomorrow. My wife and I have attempted a number of times and get stuck on the popup window right after clicking on the American link. I know there was an issue with downloading an empty file, but we cannot even get that far. Can anyone help?

I just hit "save as". Is your browser attempting to open the file instead of download it?

So I want to know when pre-orders are getting access, since that's why many of us pre-ordered in the first place (and please don't go semantic on me between preorder and prepurchase, that's a dead horse)
