So, does anyone now if this power like the Stalkers where no one can see you? Or like the Night Widow where you are invisible, but get to close the bade guys will still see you?

Go in-game. Type [Shadowy Presence] and send it to a channel. Click on it. Read. Enlighten yourself.

Stalker hide gives +15,000% stealth in PvE, which translates to 150'. Shadowy Presence gives +10,000% stealth in PvE, which should translate to 100'. Enough to hide from most anything except snipers (perception 149').

In PvP, it says +500,000% which would be way above cap for all AT, I think.

For what it's worth, I've added these numbers to the wiki.

In case you're thinking about using it to replace regular stealth, that won't work.

According to the in-game description, if you move, you un-stealth.

Seems kinda like a pointless power.. "you can't see me!" lol

Unless of course the text is just worded in a silly way, and it's really referring only to the long interrupt time?

It could be very useful if you were wanting to avoid Praetorian patrols while working for the Resistance

It's also on a ten minute recharge IIRC. Better hope they don't have more than one patrol per building.

Dr. Todt's theme.

I'm not sure how much "work" you can get accomplished while you are standing still... lol

Yeah, me posting on these forums oddly qualifies as "work" I get paid for.

So let the devs know I have been testing the [Shadowy Presence] skill for years, and it works great.

As I was reading over the wiki description about this power it kept gnawing at me just how useless it appears to be. Of course there might be new game mechanics that we don't yet know about that makes my statement moot, but as I understand things currently, I just can't see this being useful even in extremely rare situations.

Reading over it's description:

Quote:
Activating this power shifts you into a semi-real shadow-state. So long as you are not attacked and remain motionless, you will have extremely good stealth rating and be nearly invisible. This power has a long, interruptible cast time and always takes 10 minutes to recharge.
In order to make this power at least somewhat useful as well as making it unique as a power I would suggest one small change.
Allow movement, but the stealth reduces in effectiveness while moving. When you stop moving the full stealth kicks in a few seconds later. You can keep doing this until you either break the power by attacking, being attacked, or shutting off the power. At that point the 10 minute recharge kicks in.

This would make the power useful, but not better than most other stealth powers, especially considering the long cooldown and it's inability to attack while benefiting from any stealth and/or defense buffs it might also have.

My suggestion: you can move while keeping the full stealth capability, but only if using Walk.

Walk would detoggle the stealth, and anything else you might be using.

Not if they don't put "Disallow_ALL" under the "Modes Disallowed" heading.

That's why Walk doesn't disable itself - it's not set to disable under "Disable_All" while it goes an applies "Disable_All".

Notice this Dark Nova power, it even requires a certain mode (thus why it's unavailable otherwise).

I understand they can re-program it to work any way they want. It was more of a joke than anything, hence the "".

Either way, it still wouldn't change the fact that turning on the Walk to move around would disable all the other toggles, and you'd be a sitting duck if a mob did actually notice you.

I like the concept of being able to "Tiptoe" past mobs, but I still don't see it as being useful on the large scale.

Also note: No matter what stealth radius Shadowy Presence gives you, Rularuu Sentries and Rikti Drones ignore stealth completely.
