Low Level Stuff Generation

I have not a single toon on Freedom, but I'll gladly roll up a couple for this, one for each side... I'll be locking them in at either 33 or 38.

Looking at the OP again, it looks more like he was suggesting a SG where we place toons that we can combine into the core of a bigger PUG to run stuff with. In that case I would suggest we make a fire/rad team, and run them up to 33, just to have them for when we can get enough together, and to generate the prestige for the base.
Fire/rad corruptors or controllers? I've already got a 50 fire/rad controller on Protector, but I've been meaning to try the corruptor version for a while now.

You still need one character at least 25 to start the arc. If you try accessing the pillar with an under-25 character, it remains dead. Or at least that's how it was last time I tried.

I'm potentially interested in the idea.

I have my own solo SG and VG on Freedom, but I'd be willing to roll a toon
on either or both sides for this effort.

My interests are towards lower-still set IO's (typically L25-L28), so I'd
probably lock my toons there.

I can probably contribute an evening per week to do doing this if there's
sufficient interest...

PS> I'm typically a solo player, so let me know what ATs would be most
helpful to the group for me to roll.

Well, I made a Claw/WP scrap ages ago on Virtue for purposes of soloing Positrons. Didn't stick to it, but it seems to be an optimal build, having QR right at 20 so you don't have to struggle to fit the fitness pool in means you can focus more on attacks and shields earlier. Awesome mezz protection, Focus and Follow-up give great mitigation and accuracy. Will probably roll one up for this SG and lock it in at 25 for Ouro purposes.

As far as a villain, I was thinking an ???/FF MM, while slow at soloing, would make a great team player, able to add defense through the shields, mitigation through the Pets, and damage through the Pets as well. Perhaps Bots/Traps? Lock it in around 33 so I have both upgrades available as well as all the good early FF powers. Be hard to solo it, as I don't have much patience for pure buffing sets, but it could easily make a team nigh-unstoppable, especially if combined with other players who are more offensively minded. Seems light enough that I could also get Aid Other/Aid Self(or Stimulant)/Resuscitate to help with downtime and survival while the bubbles are weaker.

What do y'all think?

Just my opinion, feel free to disregard...

Ok, I have 8 free slots for toons on Freedom.
I'm going to make a fire/rad on each side.
I am going to make a plant/rad for Positron running and a thugs/traps MM redside.
Any suggestions for the other slots?

I have both a bots/ff and a bots/traps. Both are ungodly after you hit 32 and get the second upgrade. I almost never play the FF any more, as I find it utterly boring to play. I would suggest traps, as you get 2/3s of FF with the force field pet, and you then have other stuff to do.

I think I like the idea of having two toons for this: One lowbie (20 max) for Posi runs that can get the really low level stealth IOs, and one at 35 for the mid-level stuff. Now to go figure out what they'll be.

And I'm still wondering about faction.
Ah, I remember the BMLS. I rolled up an Ice/Kin Corruptor just for that, which has been sitting at 22 there since I13 dropped. I have a lowbie Kin/Rad Defender on Freedom which will likely never see playtime unless something like this actually forms up.

I actually checked the channel roster last night. There are a grand total of...3 of us still in it. None of us are mods.

Sounds like it's time for a new channel (Midlevel Crisis?). Dang, I miss the BMLS action (teamed with Protea/KeepDistance/Mind...something and that was the fastest Cap I've ever rocketed through).

Came to this late but I also have on Freedom a bunch of low level players that I could bring to this team... Just let me know when and where

OMG!!! I remember that attempt, Im not sure if I still have the channel live for got rid of it.

I would suggest Market Adjustment, or the blunt The Suppliers.

I have 3 level-locked alts, all hero-side on Protector. A 33 BS/WP scrapper for running Flashbacks, a 33 Cold/Dark defender, and a 35 Storm/Ice. The defenders are just for TFs, they're too slow on their own. I'm tempted to move one of them to a different level, just for variety. They've all rolled 300-400 merits worth of randoms for sale.

All my slots on Freedom are open, so I could go with either side, though I'd probably prefer red.

Now we need a true Litre of Men (and Women) to rise up and l33t us to the Promised Land and sort out all these idears.

Odd. I was sure that I remembered you joining Nivra and myself for Cap runs on Victory.

Heh. I had the same idea. From the low level IO thread:

Quote:
I've been thinking about this thread over the course of the week and I've decided that I am going to make a character to sit at 35 permanently (or at least until further notice). This character will run TFs and story arcs for merits and AE for tickets.

I usually hoard stuff, but this character will slot what he can use and sell the rest. If enough of us do this, we can reverse this trend and have a viable 35-40 market.

NOW WHO'S WITH ME?!?!
I think 35 is the way to go so that you can add ITF and Numina (or Ice Minstral redside) to the TF's you can run. It's also a nice number for recipes to drop at. Swellguy mentioned that he has seen stuff that ends in 0s and 5s sell quicker and for higher than off numbers. That reflects my experience as well.

I have some villains on Freedom that I could lock at 35. I need to double check my heroes, but I might just make a new one as well.

Just as a curiosity, why stop at 33 rather than 35?

Set bonuses available at level 30 probably for Sirens Call.

Thats the traditional level for sets for Sirens. I'd rather have 32s myself for the 25-29 flashback tier.

I haven't experimented (or even set foot in Sirens in months) so I don't know how the new +5 superSK feature interacts with set bonuses in PvP zone.

I can tell you that due to Diminishing Returns and other PvP nerfs, hitpoints, procs, and KB protection are what PvP characters are building for. And for level 50 activity in Recluse's Victory and Arena. Having bonuses to get you softcapped defense or having crazy levels of recharge gets all but eliminated by DR.

The SSK system has no direct effect on your set bonuses, whether in a PvP zone or not. SSK'ed, in a PvP zone, flashback, whatever - you end up with a specific combat level indicated next to your health bar. THAT is the number the set bonuses will be looking at. How you ended up at the level doesn't matter to the IO's.

I would do more harm than good if I joined this. I would put together the perfect level 33 build, sucking all of those recipes out of the market. And in the end, I doubt I'd put more than that back in. The team would have to do something like run both Sister Psyche and Citadel ten times to make up for what I would use.

If I had a US account, I would happily make new characters to join in. (If for no reason other than that Teenage Wildlife is a title on the tracklist of AJ McLean's upcoming solo album.) Alas, as an EU player, all I can do is say thanks in advance for all the level 35 recipes I will be happily bidding for. Try and drop some Scirocco's Dervishs and Obliterations, please :-)
