Tell me about your 50s
My first 50 was my emp/dark defender Retail Retali8r (seen in my avatar usually). I've even had other emp defenders stand around watching how I solo - I had to abandon her briefly before the Elite Boss code was in place, but once that was there I could grab one person and hit all those higher level Supervillains without just dying constantly. At this point, I know I couldn't do that again - I have no clue how I did it back when. This was how I usually wound up lol. She took over 19 months of existance and probably 16 of that was play time, to level to 50.
My second 50 is my current still-favorite, ice/kin troller. No pets as I can't stand Jack Frost's behavior. Winter's True Spirit was created on test waaaaay back, when they did a level boost to 40 to test out Recluse's Victory. I went around and did all the cape/power missions, instead lol. So I had a good idea of what I wanted out of an ice/kin since I'd never played one before. Right now she's absolutely tricked out on IO sets for holds and slows - I can hold the Flyer in the STF with her.
My third was my first melee character that I was serious about. I knew I liked ranged and I knew I liked self-sufficient characters, and I was SO bad at playing scrappers on other servers, so I chose a fire/fire tank. Trickster's Jackalope is a lot of fun, he made it possible to play melee and still not die a lot and learn through the process. I gave superspeed a chance for about 20-24 odd levels and hated it, so dropped it for leaping, and have loved him ever since.
Right now I'm working on a scrapper, dual-blades/willpower, she's 45, and a psy/mind blaster who is in the high 30s. Those will be my next 50s, they're both quite fun to play.

I fricken love my 50 ice/storm troller, Lady Rydia. I built her to pact with a friend's bs/sd scrapper, Sir Cecil. Dude disappeared, so I leveled a very addictive toon. And Sprite Night is an old friend of my first (only) red 50, Bleak Yuna, a thugs/dark mm. Other red toons just aren't as much fun as it was leveling that. I also have a 50 tank, Annette Anarchy, a 50 emp, Dianna of Olympus, and a 50 dark/rad/elec, Yuna Starr.
As a side note I have never been on the STF.
You should come and visit us on Freedom more ofthen, Tonal.
My 50s
1) Radionuclide (Def: Rad/Rad) My first and is still played quite a bit.
2) Rad's Pyro (Cont. Fire/Rad) No longer around. He has long been deleted. I just couldn't enjoy him as much after the ED and imp nerf. But, really he was re-rolled and renamed as my corruptor
3) Luminaria (PB) I don't play her very much. In fact, I believe she still has pre-ED slotting.
4) Morsmordre (MM Necro/Dark) My first villain to 50. I love playing him.
5) Rad's Meltdown (Cor Fire/Rad) I may make him go rogue. It was always apart of his story to be redeemed with the help of his brother.
6) Intensify (Cont Fire/Kin). My favorite to play. Love the concept, the character, the name, and the way she plays. She gots it all.
7) Conviction (Tank WB/DB) The first tank I could play higher then level 10.
9) Ebon Thorn (Scrap Spines/Dark) She is not played very much. But, I enjoyed leveling her up.
12) Ebon Askavi (Night Widow) She does come out to play from time to time. I really only like playing her with other SoAs. So. Much. Fun.
11) Fimbulvetr (Def Cold/Ice) Also not played very much. Though he will be brought out during the winter event for some more winter themed badges.
11.5) Welsh Green (Def Thermal/Fire) Ok, ok. Technically he is not 50 yet. But, he is 49 and half does that count?

/whereami:
Only one 50 for me so far, my Rad/Rad defender: Polish Princess. Still play her quite a bit and still enjoy her every time I do. She feels competent (able to handle situations) and fun to mess around with. She also feels the most developed, both in ability and back story.
Just one 50 on each side for me, though my Peacebringer is getting close at 48.
Blueside it's Solarsquall, a Storm/Energy Defender and my first character ever. Took him nearly a year to hit 50 due to time constraints and being on Pinnacle, but I had a lot of great help from a Scrapper and a Tanker who got a real kick out of playing with a Storm Defender. I don't play him as often these days, but he's become my default new content tester; I figure that since he's 50, he can take any potentially awful new TF or what have you and I don't have to worry.
Redside is Chthonian, a Stone/Stone Brute. I originally rolled him because I wanted a Stone/Stone character, but was vehemently opposed to playing a Tanker and have to worry about crap like crowd control and taking care of other people. I just wanted to SMASH. Unfortunately, at least back when Chthonian was active, people still treated me as if I was playing a Stone/Stone Tanker and expecting me to seriously tank for them. One d-bag actually spam-insulted me for not having Taunt on him before I put him on /ignore. So I barely touch him these days, except once in a while to grab a couple of Accolade powers.
Storm Summoning is great because it makes you better than everyone else in the game. - Camma
Knockback is mitigation. It won't be removed just because meleers ***** and moan. - Chaos Creator
My first character was Organica, a katana/regen scrapper on Pinnacle (back when regen was awesome and katana was the same as broadsword for animations). I eventually got her to 37.
However, impressed by what fire tanks could do, I created Jalia, a fire/axe tanker. Herding and burning was lots of fun, and this was my first 50, back before I-5 came out.
When I returned to the game I moved to Virtue where a friend (briefly) played. I started playing Mouse Police. I had a Mouse Police on Pinnacle that had been a level 20 invul/energy tank, then was deleted and rerolled as a dark/invul scrapper. She was about level 29. I had created multiple Mouse Police characters on other servers, and the one on Virtue just happened to be a katana/regen like Organica. I played her exclusively for months until I hit 50 again, then allowed myself to give in once again to my altitis. But I really consider this version of Mouse Police to be my main or signature character.
Eventually I managed to concentrate long enough to get my #1 character on my 2nd account to 50. This took about a year after I'd bought the account, but Shinobu Valentine, an illusion/rad controller, was my third 50 (also on Virtue).
Then I went on another long altitis binge, until the point where it was clear that VEATs were about to appear. I worked hard on my main villain, and Huntress Midnight became my 4th level 50 (Virtue dark/electric brute).
About a year ago I was reaching the point where I had multiple characters up in the 40's on several servers, and it occurred to me to try and arrange to level them all up to 49 and then have a string of characters hit level 50 on successive days. This never actually happened, but by this Summer between June and August I hit level 50 4 more times: Sailor Shinobu, an invul/energy tanker on Freedom; Serpentine Fire, a fire/fire blaster on Freedom; Jennie Justice, a broadsword/regen scrapper on Virtue (leveled up largely so I could wield the nictus broadsword, but I've only run the ITF once on her anyway); and Mouse Police (again), a fire/SR scrapper on Victory. A month or two later I hit 50 on Shinobu Dragonheart, my MA/Invul scrapper on Virtue.
So that means I've hit level 50 on 4 different servers, although I've since transferred Jalia (and Organica as well) to Virtue (I haven't played on Pinnacle since returning to the game). I have 3 level 50 heroes on my second account, and 5 level 50 heroes and 1 50 villain on the first account. I still do not have a level 50 defender (one on Freedom is 45), a level 50 HEAT (41 PB on Virtue, two level 34 WS), or a level 50 villain on my second account (stuck at level 43 on my MM).
I'm working my way to another string of level 50's though. At the moment on Virtue I'm playing 4 different scrappers, who are levels 47, 43, 43 (two are pacted) and 41. The level 41 is my original character Organica, and I really want to see her hit 50 eventually. That would feel like a real accomplishment. ^_^
I have 3 characters in the mid 40's on Freedom as well, including an ice/ice blaster named... Mouse Police.
I play most of my 50's on occasion. both versions of Mouse Police are tricked out as far as IO builds go, and I've done the same for Serpentine Fire, Sailor Shinobu, Shinobu Dragonheart and Shinobu Valentine. My brute has a bunch of purples but I've yet to really respec and finish the build. Jennie Justice is outfitted with generic IOs, and Jalia, who I very rarely play, is still outfitted with level 50++ SOs and a few Hami-Os.
I enjoy playing Mouse Police and Shinobu Dragonheart on Virtue the most. I do Hami runs and TFs with both of them, and pull out Shinobu Valentine if /radiation is needed for a tough fight. I also really really like my tank Sailor Shinobu on Freedom, but I rarely play on Freedom these days. I sort of wish she was on Virtue, I'd take her on Hami runs then, but I've never reached the point where I want to transfer her.
my lil RWZ Challenge vid
Out of my many remaining and deleted alts, 74018 will just never die in my mind:
He's my first brute, My first shot at EM/WP, and my first toon that had set bonuses as I was learning all about it. His backstory is funny too, as it's the only one I've ever come up with, being an altoholic n' all.
74018 was originally designed as a "test your strength" punch scale arcade game in Cap. Some hacker kid was trying to steal the inf out of it, and accidentilly hit the "hit back" switch in the machine, which instantly punched the guy to death, and now wanders the rogue isles punching anything that triggers it's motion sensor.
Suiren, Natural MA/Regen Scrapper: My first level 50 character. She was my scout for the 40s hero content.
Hot Topic, Magic Fire/Fire Brute: My first villain on the live servers and my first level 50 villain. She was my scout for the 40s villain content.
Yukihime, Magic Ice/Ice Blaster: My favorite character. She was my main character until she got stuck with archvillains blocking her path at level 37. Half a year later I got past the archvillains, but ran out of missions at level 38. Suiren caught up and passed her by, thanks to some improvements to the XP gains. Eventually I managed to get Yukihime to 40 thanks to some supergroup help and a lot of Warburg missions, and she became my third level 50 character. Fortunately that upper 30s gap no longer exists.
Birdy, Science Inv/SS Tanker: Birdy was my very first character. I created her just to try out the game mechanics, and to try out flight. I didn't expect to keep her, due to serious problems I had with both Invulnerability and Super Strength. But the problems were solved by some key power buffs, so I kept Birdy around.
Cerise Sinclair, Magic Thugs/Dark Mastermind: Her role was to do all the content that Hot Topic missed due to AVs. By the time she started out, the AV-> EB feature was in place.
Fantasm, Mutation Ill/Rad Controller: My most powerful character, Fantasm had the distinction of beating all the Praetorians, as well as other key EBs that I tend to avoid (such as Nosferatu). She's not as fast as some of my other 50s, but she can handle just about anything the standard missions throw at her.
Risommer, Mutation Energy/Regen Stalker: My favorite villain. And by the way, I don't do PVP. For some reason, Energy/Regen is the only Stalker combination that works well for me, and it works very well indeed.
I've got two 50s, and yes, for an altaholic like me, that did indeed feel like quite an accomplishment.
The first for me was my ice/ice dominator Kaylee Ice. While leveling up this character I realized something: At least in part, my altaholism is driven by the search for the 'perfect character' for me - I saw this once I played my dom because I realized I had found that character! Conceptually, I had always liked ice and cold themed powers for some reason - I had gone through an ice/ice tank and blaster previously, but their concepts had never clicked for me. But on my dom, thematics, concept, and playstyle just came together in an absolutely perfect blend. She started off with nothing, but within a matter of weeks had leapfrogged over all of my other characters, hero and villain both. In only a few months, she became my first 50.
Doms in many ways are my ideal fit in an AT (especially now that they do so much more damage) - control the fight, and then beat the stuffing out of you enemies! Make a single mistake and you're a greasy spot on the wall, but play well and you feel like a god (well, everywhere besides PToD fights, but whatever...). While many other dominator concepts have visited my mind since she hit 50, I don't think that any of them will ever capture the rush of my first dominator.
The second was my longbow themed FF/energy defender, Longbow Tac-ops. The story is rather fortuitous: my brother was passing through atlas park one day, when he heard a person say over broadcast that they were about to free up the name "Longbow Sniper" (by deleting the character) if anybody wanted it. He went off to find the guy, who was (naturally) standing under atlas, and was impressed to realize just how closely you could mimic the longbow costume. As soon as the guy logged off, my brother popped out to the character screen and ran up a AR/nrg blaster with the name.
At this point, I wandered by the office and asked my brother what was up, and he explained the story to me. At the time, we were on a kick of playing specific duos of characters together (this was before pacts). So, I pulled out my laptop and ran up a longbow themed character to run with him. Now, most of the time we ran a pair of characters for a while and then got distracted. This was the first time, though, that one of our duos had been planned (and thematically matched) from character creation, and something about the pairing just clicked for us. While we're both altaholics and the characters didn't really advance *that* quickly by anyone else's standards, by our standards they just flew up the levels. Our progress took a hit when he decided to let his sub lapse while waiting for GR, but over the last double XP/reactivation weekend, we ground out the last 5 levels to 50. For both of us, our longbow characters are our highest level heroes by at least 15 levels.
Mechanically, my FF/nrg defender doesn't play like any other character I've tried. Having a defender with strong personal defenses is quite a novelty, and especially since I softcapped his ranged defense, he feels practically unstoppable. Not that he'll necessarily kill everything especially *fast*, but his killspeed is respectable enough, and his survivability is very good. Between his softcapped ranged defense, quite respectable S/L resistance, knockback and repel effects to keep everything out of melee, and PFF if things go truly wrong, the only time I usually die is if my computer or connection betrays me, or I do something truly stupid.

This is what it means to be a tank!
Only 2 50s so far - and the second one only hit 50 last month.
Maurya was a poor attempt to recreate a PnP character from a Champions game that lasted over a decade. That campaign only ended when one player who was the heart of the campaign died a few years ago (still miss ya, Steve/Doc Tanner!)
Her backstory (not in her personal info in-game) is that she is the daughter of Mannannan mac Liir and a Cherokee shaman. She rides the storms, blasting her enemies and shocking them with her blows. (Energy/Electric Blaster, Fly as a Travel Power). I moved her from her original server (Liberty) to Infinity to join in the Saturday TFs and to fund my new SG there. She is also the crafter for the SG.
Isotope 167 is a Rad/Dark Defender who just hit 50, so I still have to see aout whether she continues to play.
Altoholic - but a Blaster at Heart!

Blueside:
Catwhoorg Scrapper (Claws/regen).
I checked a couple of weeks ago and he was at 2012 hours played (Mayan DooOoom incarnate). 673 Badges and my goto guy for a fun time. Master of STF, ITF and Khan. Soloer of most TFs in the game (bar Quaterfield, Faathim, States, ITF and Khan)
Dark Soy Sauce Defender (kin/dark)
Started as a bit of a joke throwaway charactr and my 2nd oldest defender. I enjoy the effectiveness of the teams she joins, but can't take playing a kin for too long. I get worn out.
Diva Lanzarote Defender (son/son)
Leader of the Paragon Opera. Fun combination, thats brings a lot to most teams.
Doc Pinewood Defender (emp/elec)
/elec for defenders is sub-par for sure these days. Thats means he has a strong focus on the emp part and then adds a little bit from the extra attacks. Motto 'Total Focus: Apply directly to the forehead'
Firey Red Tanker (fire/fire)
Built pre-I3 and burned her way through a couple of AVs solo. These days she is used in a scrapper role, and remains very effective
Gjallerhorn Tanker (shield/ax)
Created for a once a week team, that included 3 shield characters. Very fast run to 50 on that team
Hari Cane Controller (ice/storm)
More of a storm/Ice really. Immob to lock em down, then let the storm pets lose. I brign chaos, that is controlled and an end bar that runs out fast.
Kittenwhoorg Scrapper (claws/SR)
Idled. I know /SR is more potent when built right, I just find it less fun. RP wise the son of Catwhoorg, but wheever I'm bringing scrapper at 50, Cat is the one
Mister Wales Defender (rad/rad)
3rd oldest defender. and my 1st defender 50. Still comes out to play a lot on TFs, but is being supplanted as a goto person by Diva. Former Rugby player and was my first Global Heroics Character.
Mr England. Blaster (Arch/NRG)
Simple RAW AOE damage. Rain of arrows early, frequently and often. One from the Agincourt mould.
Mr Falkland Islands Blaster (AR/Dev)
First blaster 50. Another built for AOE damage, cone after cone after cone. Fun build.
Redside:
Commander Voorg Arachnos Soldier Crab form.
Plays very similar to Falkland Islands, but with a whole lot more survivability. I consider Voorg to be my redisde 'main' right now
Revenant Cat Mastermind (Necro/Dark)
Pretty much idled these days. had a lot of fun with the combination and soloed a good number of AVs on the way up.
ShadowCatwhoorg Stalker (claws/regen)
My 1st redside 50 and I hated every bit of it from 35 or so and up. Only the promise of VEATS and double XP weekends got me there. Actually played more now at 50 than on the way there, thanks to flashbacks, I can pick and choose interesting stories without a lot of defeat alls.
Smash Engrab Brute (SS/fire)
Took me a long time to settle onto a brute I enjoyed. Smash leveled up fast and furiously. Footstomp with a full fury bar is a joy to behold.
@Catwhoorg "Rule of Three - Finale" Arc# 1984
@Mr Falkland Islands"A Nation Goes Rogue" Arc# 2369 "Toasters and Pop Tarts" Arc#116617
My first 50 was Anax Necross, a Dark/Regen Scrapper who was inspired by a Champion pnp character who never actually got played until i made a modified version in CoH. Katana/DA would've been closer to the original character design, but at the time Dark Armor was painful to play for any length of time due to the agonizing sounds and endurance costs.
Since then i've reached 50 many times, but a few are especially notable for holding my attention during the climb to 50 and/or afterwards.
Thunder Locust, DM/Elec Brute, was my first villain to reach 50 and still gets played.
Navigator FoTa, Grav/Storm Controller, was created with a very detailed concept, and held my attention as a main for the longest so far. Created around the time inventions came out, she was also the first one to make extensive use of sets.
Dr. Malthusian, Dark/Ice Defender, was my first billionaire+ alt, and is still fun to play.
Erin Tenebrae (AoE Night Widow build) and Khybernetika (aerial assault Crab Spider) were my first VEATs.
Most of my 50's get played much less within a few months of hitting 50, but a few still get played fairly often over a year later.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
If you were wondering why I posted this, it has both practical and sentimental reasons. To begin with, it's just fun reading about different people's accomplishments in the game, and what they find fun. But, as you look at my list of 50's, you'll see that I'm rather lopsided with this game, and I'm paying particular attention to blueside characters (but please, no recommendations - keep with the premise). Oh, and I'm running out of 'IGHT' words. So, thanks for all the replies.
I also realize not everyone in the game has a 50, so if you have a character you really like and he isn't 50, go ahead anyway.
So, my complete list:
Sprite Night, Elec/Elec/Mu Brute, first 50, and my main. I don't have Catwhoorg's impressive login time. I'm just over 1000 hours on this one. This was the one I had my Ebil picture taken on. Oh, and yellow electricty looks awesome! Thank you, devs!
Sprite Might, SS/Elec/Mu Brute. Everyone said SS was awesome, so I had to have one. When I got knockout blow, I was sold.
Sprite Fright, DM/SD/Soul Brute. After nearly a year trying to come up with a build that could handle the Eldersnake map (I want a real challenge), shield was released and siphon life became awesome. Currently, this is probably the only toon that can handle 2/8 spawns of Eldersnakes. Those things hurt.
Soulbrand, Earth/Psi/Soul Permadom. I haven't decided to invest in many purple sets yet, but she is sitting at 85% recharge. I looked at those fire/psi doms that would decimate mobs in Grandville and wanted to be awesome like them. I've learned I'm not as talented at control as many others.
Crimp, Rad/Kin/Scorp Corr, A little lizard with 45% S/L/E defense and jump kick.
Operative Solace, Crab Spider - This guy's bio is funny. He tolerates other heroes, but they seem to call him Operative Shoe Lace for some reason.
Critique, Nin/Nin/Soul Stalker - I wanted a good PvP toon, and this was to be it. It's been ignored, mostly because while it's a beast in PvE, I haven't been very successful in PvP with this. Probably because I'm a brute at heart, and playing a stalker like a brute may work in PvE, but not in PvP.
RIGbot Sprite, Mace/Stone Brute. I saw a RIGbot in broadcast one day and found an excuse to make a toon with teleport.
Pyrhiccup Fire/NRG/Fire Blaster. See OP.
Radiant Lumens Ill/Rad/Mind Controller. I made a build I really liked on mids, but forgot that I have little influence. So this poor guy after my final respec, I dumped all the SO's on the way to 50, and he's been sitting empty without anything. He'll see the light of day some day.
Sprite Bright Elec/SD/Fire Scrapper. This thing is just silly. Obviously, I have no clue how I can explain how someone shoots fireballs and throws lightning bolts. But, it is just pure fun. It has all the basic IO's. The expensive ones I'll get over time.
Let's see, I have:
Rock-hopper (Ice/Earth/Ice Tank): My first 50, and an absolute juggernaut on the field. He was made way back in I2 or so, when Ice tanks didn't have stacking shields, so he ended up shelved for quite a while. He finally hit 50 a few years back, but tends only to get pulled when a friend is nearing 50.
Avatar of Basilisk (BS/Regen/Body Scrapper): He took a lot longer than he might have otherwise thanks to the fact that I find the combination painfully easy and slow. With my newest Spines/Inv scrapper much more fun to play, he might end up shelved indefinitely. I like to bring him out for ITFs since he can hold his own against an awful lot of punishment.
Pyrphoros (SD/Fire/Fire Tank): My first 50 on my second, currently inactive account. Insanely fun, but unfortunately a student's income just won't permit two accounts. A pity, too, since he's even more fun since getting him softcapped. If it weren't for some endurance issues, I'm not sure anything could stop him. I have an SD/EM tank working his way up the levels, so it may not be too long before he's replaced.
Void Defender (Humanform Warshade): This one was a bit crazy. He's a lot of fun, but a major break from the pure invincibility that I get on my tanks and scrappers. If it weren't for the constant mezzing, he would probably get dusted off more, but I simply don't care for the back-and-forth of form shifting, especially the long animations that are a part of it. His second build does include Dwarf form, but I try to avoid it where possible.
Comanche Rogers (AR/MM/Munitions Blaster): All I can say is: "Never again!" It was great fun up until 35 or so. He's armed with enough AoEs to demolish a small country, and barely enough defence to stand up to a stiff breeze. His single target attacks are resisted like crazy. I got him from 35-42 over 2XP weekends, and 42-47 helping a friend to 50. The only reason I bothered with the final push is because I want to get one of each AT to 50. Still, if I were to do it over, I would convince myself to go with something, anything, different than AR/MM.
Living Foundry (Spines/Inv Scrapper): This guy was the exact opposite of Comanche Rogers. Rough going at low levels and a behemoth at high levels. He's also my most recent, having hit 50 two weeks ago.
Caesura (Sonic/Traps/GW Corruptor): My first villain 50, and still probably one of my favourites to play. I was playing /traps before it was cool. He was also my first 50 to solo an AV, so he gets a special place in my heart for that. I like to solo a lot, so the /traps playstyle is perfect for that, plus he can bring plenty to the table for a team, too.
Ascella (Grav/Fire/Mako Dom): Wormhole is fun. Really fun. That is all.
Pankratios (WM/WP Brute): Another one that suffered a bit due to boredom with the character, though it picked up a bit when I got the Rularuu hammer. He can smack the crap out of you as long as he bloody wants. One of my favourite things to do pre-AE nerf was to make missions with as many enemies as possible, run them in testing mode, and see how long it would take to kill them all using just one power (the power would change each time). Brought back good memories of tanking in I3 and I4. Unlike heroside, if the situation calls for a level 50, there's pretty much an equal chance that any of my level 50 villains will get called to the plate, which says something, though I don't know what.
My story arcs: #2370- Noah Reborn, #18672- The Clockwork War, #31490- Easy Money
Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?
All of my 50's are concept characters which earned a ribbing or three from elite gamer friends. Apparently, it's silly to pick powers to suit the name or origins idea.
Heroes of the City:
Una - My first 50, my main badge-artist and group leader. Her concept was always that of an warring angel. Spines and Super Reflexes because I imagined her first as a seraphim with wings set six-pair from head to toe that fracture in battle. Wings that move so fast, the most anyone sees is a flickering series of bony protrusions impaling her opponents.
Originally, her name was Aranita but I changed that years ago. I was working on an extended origins story (bios are soo tiny) to explain the reason for the change and what her original name meant:
Before she was Una, she was called Aranita - the little spider. To awestruck onlookers that's how she first appeared, at twilight, cast as a spoked shadow which flickered furiously against the earth's floor and cliff walls. Not physically visible to the innocent in those days, only ever to the wicked once pierced, Aranita was a tale patched together from the mouths of children. Such a story, with evidence found in morning light, frightened even the most cynical adults in their village. Their collective stories echoed the vision of an ever-changing woman's silhouette; "she had a six, eight, no.. perhaps it was ten and two legs". Some regarded the strange formations as arms. Long, twisting spindles that arched from behind her torso and reached out in every direction. "Legs don't have hands..." said one observant child. "Though. she carried with her not one weapon." Terrifying more that the appendages broke off at times, piercing deep the other shadows, rendering lifeless the invading armies to their homeland. And so it was, the angel with broken wings set six pair as Seraphim's are, was first named by the children along the Mediterranean coast of Hispania.
- She has a mix of modern, medieval costumes, and future-self costumes to show her age. To this day, I prefer her white devil costume to any number of angelic drapings she's worn. Being good gets old after a while.
American Anthem - She's one of my favorite backstories. Archer/Empathy. The biography is in the link. This may sound silly but I think it's sweet when someone sends a pm to say how sad the story is.. because I put alot into her and it's nice that she's noticed. At any rate. Archery, one of the many sports she took in high school. She's a terrible mess. A mix of high school uniforms and her brother's burial flag for "heroine" costumes. When so many have the larger than life patriotic characters, the do-gooders, the ones beyond reproach and worthy of carrying their country's flag.. I wanted someone a little left of all of that is wholesome and right with the world.
- The last costume is her daywear. If I recall, the top was part of a cheerleader's uniform. Anthem beat that Cheerio fair and square for that costume piece.
Alt - I have so much fun with her. Another bio in link. Art imitating art. She's a MMO game avatar come to life.. or realization, rather. She's easy to have ridiculous fun on. I'll run around her screaming, "The Main is always trying tah keep me down!" Right now, her costume slots are based off which other lands (other MMO's) she'd like to visit. She has fantasy costumes, space alien costumes, etc. I once made her a Super Girl costume in anticipation of Marvel (made long after the project was canned.. her costume was just a light-hearted joke since there was no way to play that game) but deleted it right away before angering the GM gods.
- pre customization. Her City of Heroes Illusion Controllers costume is now red and white.
- Alt's almost, could have been, would have been life. She was going to Champions but stayed in CoH because she didn't want her boobs to look like tectonic dinner plates that drifted apart in character creation.
- Ha! So got rid of this generic bait.
- Ok, she was going to wear this when she signed up for Star Trek Online.. but realized her green costume over green alien girl skin would get ogled by n00bs named Kirk9864 and decided to keep it in CoH when playing solo in indoor missions for the sake of her dignity.
Dakota - Archery/Devices. I think I made a blaster because I never enjoyed them. And furthermore, I never enjoyed her. Dakota started her life as Five Starr, a spirited cowgirl of asian origin. For the life of me, I can't recall her original powers - just that I wasn't having any fun. So I took a look at her again. Rerolled, renamed, and modernized. Now I just play the hell out of her. Fun package.
Freeze Frame - Freeze (secondary: Ice Blast) Frame ( primary: Force Field). 'nuff said. The best part.. she's a cop with a taser for her inherent. Bzzpppt.
Noa - This is one of my infamous, "Ara, you make the lamest concept character" characters. So, I never made a tank that lasted past 6..12? 6. Maybe level 8. I asked friends who said, "stone armor!". All this before power customization so I weighed the costume options and responded, "Ice is pretty, yes?". My friends laughed. "Ice is awful. With Mace?" And I thought to myself, that no matter what I make .. it'll suck so I may as well enjoy the backstory. Bio linked.. a character so far from home and source of power, that she's considered "weak" by the comparison to her former self. The idea that the strongest character I have (HP) is at the same time, the weakest.
Made:
Exotica - She's great and terrible. And great at being terrible. And probably my favorite.
Phobia - This stalker started out as a consolation prize. I had the name Heretic which was to be my stalker but had it wrestled away by an unsavory gentleman with no remorse or ability to reason. So he gave me the name Phobia from his menagerie so I'd agree to have dinner with him again without sobbing everytime the waitstaff asked what I wanted. :P Claws / Dark Armor. Oh! And every costume slot is a representation of a different group of phobias.
Since altitis runs rampant among fans of this game, I am proposing that we indulge ourselves in a brief reprieve to explore how we have found ways to treat this pervasive disorder.

I inherited the account, so to speak, from a friend who orginally bought it. He showed his account to me and let me build and play a few characters on it. This I would do over the next two years with months wide gaps between my playing sessions. This meant things advanced very slowly for my characters.
My friend was much more interested in FPS games and soon lost interest in the whole idea of MMORPGS. I, on the other hand did not. So I put the account on my credit card and took it over in early 2007.
Things became much more steady after that but I'm a causal gamer with a busy life who just doesn't have the schedule for the solid stretches of time to build a 50 efficiently. I keep playing but I figure the 50 levels will come slowly.
I have alt-itis, but I refuse to take the full blame for that. The City of Heroes character creation editor is truly the devil incarnate and inspires crazy character idea after crazy character idea in my head. As such, my effort is now divided amoung some 20 or so characters.
When I get my first 50, I let you all know.
"Civilization advances by extending the number of important operations which we can perform without thinking of them."
Thinking about my 50's makes me worried. 36 of my slots on my only server I play on are rapidly getting filled with em' and there are still tons of primary/secondary combinations I want to play across on several ATs.
Playstation 3 - XBox 360 - Wii - PSP
Remember kids, crack is whack!
Samuel_Tow: Your avatar is... I think I like it
Well, I figure that this will be a first for me. I'm secretive about my characters, names, etc. because I make my alts for me. Sure, a lot of people do the same, but I make alts that make me happy to play. To me, it's not about whether or not they are good builds. It's about what I can accomplish with them and with their story.
BTW, my list is long. Not the longest... but still pretty lengthy:
Virtue Server:
1.) Arachnos Commander (Deceased) - level 50 Mercenaries/Poison Mastermind. Former leader of the Arachnos Elite. Spent his life trying to find Utopia. Realized that the only way to get to Utopia was by wading through the destruction created by Lord Recluse. Was given the title of "Right Hand of Lord Recluse" by the man himself. (on a test server event) Mysteriously found dead this past September. At the request of Arachnos officials, no autopsy was performed.
2.) Kerse - level 50 SS/Inv Tank - Former Captain in the Vanguard. Went into retirement after the first Rikti War when he saw that the new heroes of the city were looking only to make a name for themselves. He was disgusted that, once they increased in security level, the newer heroes would turn a blind eye to the lesser notable criminals while they looked for "big time" crooks to add more fame to their reputation. He came out of retirement when the Rikti resurfaced... but he still has hard feelings towards the "big name" heroes of Paragon. Lately he's been ignoring his duties and it's been rumored that he's been spotted in Mercy Island.
3.) Resurrexion - level 50 Dark/Dark Brute - A former hero of Paragon, the man now known as Resurrexion gave up his life to serve Lord Recluse. Shrouded in armor, Resurrexion hides his disfigured body from those around him. The ravages of war and fighting for the Longbow have destroyed his once good looks and all that remains is something that can not be described.
4.) Mender Chatom - level 50 (petless) Merc/Poison Mastermind - After decades of loyal service to the Ouroboros, Mender Chatom walked away from it all. No one is certain why he did, but if his most recent association with the Arachnos is any indication, the Rogue Isles had better be prepared for anything.
5.) Vanguard Commander - level 50 Claws/Willpower Stalker - The Vanguard Commander played a vital role in the resurrection of the Vanguard Elite. After the first Rikti invasion, Statesman retired the Elite out of respect to his friend and comrade, Hero 1, and the thousands lost at the hands of the extraterrestrial invaders. He returned the mantle of leadership to The Lady Grey, who vowed to train the very best of her troops in "special" tactics, incase the need for the Vanguard Elite was warranted. On July 23, 2007, that need arrived.
6.) Wolf Spider Immortal - level 50 Bane/Bane Soldier of Arachnos - The only successful living clone of the Arachnos Project: Immortal. He doesn't know about the person he was cloned from, nor does he care. He only lives (forever) to serve Lord Recluse.
7.) Cybernetic Commander - level 50 Energy/Rad Corruptor - This is the cybernetic shell that the Arachnos Commander used during a period when he was incapacitated. However, since the death of the Commander, the Cybernetic Commander has rewritten his memory to believe that he is the real Arachnos Commander.
8.) Commanding Officer - level 50 Thug/Pain Dom Mastermind - Has taken the mantle of leader of the Arachnos Elite. Besides being former Spetsnaz soldier, little is known about this Arachnos officer.
9.) Raserei Krieger - level 50 Assault Rifle/Pain Dom Corruptor - The Raserei Krieger are highly advanced soldiers of the 5th Column. These "Warriors of Rage" feed from the pain of those around them, transforming it into a healing aura for their compatriots, while giving themselves a major adrenaline boost. For a short while, these soldiers will black out in a fit of rage and often charge into battle causing their own demise. Rumors are that the Raserei Krieger are cyborgs that share the same cloned brain of a fallen leader of the 5th Column. Though they fight with the same goal, their individualistic personalities have been breed out of them, making them the ultimate killing machine.
10.) Archon Lazarus - level 50 Dark/Dark Corruptor - Archon Lazarus is a highly skilled member of the Council's "Project Resurrection." While his true identity is still a mystery, sources have claimed that this disfigured creature bares a striking resemblance to a member of the Vanguard's Omega Team. Whether or not this creature saw life through the eyes of a hero, his presence marks fear in the hearts of all that interfere in the plans of the Council.
11.) Mu Guardian Enforcer - level 50 Bane/Bane SoA - (has a basic Mu Guardian bio)
12.) Vault Security - level 50 Ice/Ice Dominator - The tremendous wealth that the Arachnos Elite has "acquired" has forced them to hire out. That's where Vault Security steps in! Is a former rent-a-cop that was released for drinking on the job... at a blood bank. (yeah, he's a vampire)
13.) Night Widow Immortal - level 50 Fortunata/Fortunata Widow - Did you really think that Lord Recluse would only create one immortal clone? Well, I guess you didn't think ahead that Wolf Spider Immortal might "Go Rogue" and use his powers against Recluse. This is Lord Recluse's way of making sure that that would never happen... but what if she "Goes Rogue...?"
14.) Blood of Artemis - level 50 Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker - Sure, you may have heard of the Mercenaries of the Knives of Artemis, the Blades of Artemis, and the Hands of Artemis... but without the Blood of Artemis feeding the body, the circulatory system would fail.
15.) Immortal Widow - level 50 Triform Peacebringer - (futuristic & alternate reality character)
Name: Katherine Valentine
April 2, 2965 - July 18, 2993
After falling from her mortal life on the day of her wedding, Katherine Valentine's soul arose from the ashes to seek out any that could help her.
The Ouroboros-Rikti hybrids, that laid waste to Paragon, had destroyed the Arachnos overlord, Lord Atlas III, and his troops. Sensing that no mortal could fend off this new menace, her life-force left this world and sought out the only beings that could help... the Kheldian's.
The Kheldian's massive army was able to force a retreat of the Ouro-Rikti and was able to secure what was left of Paragon. As Katherine's soul began to fade, Twilight (the leader of the Kheldian Army) was able to grant her immortal life by returning her soul to her body, by placing both into the Well of the Furies.
As her pledge of undying loyalty to the Kheldians, the Immortal Widow vowed to return to the time of the first Ouroboro sightings to stop her past from happening.
16.) Sarah - level 50 Empathy/Electrical Blast Defender - Sarah is on an ongoing quest to find out who her birth parents are. (Kind of a work in progress for Going Rogue)
17.) Brigade Commander - level 50 Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster - A former high ranking member of the Longbow. Now thinks he is Santa Claus after he slipped on a banana peel and hit his head on the bar in Pocket D. His family is now suing DJ Zero on his behalf. Oh, not because of the fall, but because he thinks that DJ Zero sold his reindeer on the black market. >.>
18.) Honoratus - level 50 Broad Sword/Shield Defense Scrapper - A Cimeroran that made his way through the crystal and now resides in Paragon City.
19.) Sinister Sabbath - level 50 Illusion Control/Storm Summoning Controller - Leader of the Punk E. Brewstarz, a Seattle pop-grunge band. Sadly, he's the only member of the band
20.) Arachnos Oracle - level 50 Sonic/Thermal Corruptor - A former prisoner of Cimerora, was rescued by the Arachnos Commander. Was the person that found the corpse of the Commander.
21.) Arachnos Decimator - level 50 Elec/Elec Brute - A student of the Mu; was offered the world in exchange for being the personal bodyguard of the Arachnos Commander. Was "off duty" the day the Commander was killed.
22.) Casualty - level 50 Rad/Thermal Corruptor - One of the children rescued after the Rikti attack on Baumton. As she grew up, she realized that the Rikti weren't the real problem... that the real problem is her fellow citizens of Paragon. Moved to the Rogue Isles to find a solution to the hero menace.
23.) Bank Manager - level 50 (petless) Thug/Traps Mastermind - The branch manager of the Arachnos Elite bank. Not a Vampire like Vault Security
24.) Alarice von Schulze - level 50 (petless) Thug/Pain Domination Mastermind - (translated from futuristic German) - "Ouroboros? Menders of Time? Do they not know that they are the cause and effect of each action they initiate? Well, we will gladly take advantage of their ignorance! These so-called "Council" will crumble beneath our feet. The Arachnos will shatter like overheated glass. The 5th Column will take its rightful place as leaders of the Universe. You can mark my words... you haven't yet begun to imagine a world under the rule of... well, you will just have to wait and see." *lowers glasses onto the tip of her nose and smiles, slightly showing the tips of her fangs* "Just wait and see..."
25.) Chronic Insomnia - level 50 Assault Rifle/Kinetics Corruptor - "Hehehe... you said Insomnia... oh, wait... wait... wait... what? Oh, hey... you got any Funyuns, dude? I am FAMISHED!"
26.) Kiss of Life - level 50 Dual Blade/Willpower Scrapper - A former member of Arachnos, now an assassin for hire. Looking for love in Paragon City... though her true love is influence.
27.) American Annihilator - level 50 Dark Armor/Energy Melee Tank - The alternate reality version of Arachnos Decimator. (Held for Going Rogue)
28.) Revenant Commander - level 50 Human Form Warshade - (Story held for Going Rogue... >.> :P )
Protector Server:
29.) Immortal Widow - level 50 Triform Warshade - (same bio as my Virtue Peacebringer Immortal Widow. Just have two of 'em)
30.) Revenent Nightmare - level 50 Elec/Elec Brute - (same bio as Arachnos Decimator of Virtue)
31.) Revenant Commander - level 50 Human Form Warshade - (Just like my Virtue Revenant Commander... story held for Going Rogue.)
32.) Revenant Revelation - level 50 Mace/Shield Defense Brute - (Story also held for Going Rogue)
33.) Doppleganger - level 50 SS/Inv Tank - 1/2 Crazy, 1/2 Genius, 1/2 Sane. Yes, that's 3 halves... did I mention he was CRAZY?
Union Server:
34.) Arachnos Commander - level 50 Merc/Poison Mastermind - (Same bio and story as my Virtue Arachnos Commander... though this version has a British accent :P )
That's all of my current level 50's. I have 6 more "soon to be" 50's, so if this thread lives that long, I'll be sure to update my list
pohsyb: so of all people you must be most excited about the veats
Arachnos Commander: actually, I am
pohsyb: I mean you kinda were one already anyways ^_^
Arachnos Commander:
Victoria Noir - Night Widow
47%+ DEF, perma ML, 101% ToHit, +45% DMG, 2 procs in each ST attack, invisibility.
I use Vicky for TFs and other speed content. She has Smoke Grenade and full invisbility so she can ghost stuff really well. She has all the team buffs and high ST DPS. AoE DPS is decent but I wouldn't call it great. She's also really great at PvP, even though I don't like PvP.
Monkeychick Tomatre - Elec/Invuln Brute
47% S/L DEF, 42% E/N DEF, 70% S/L RES, 2000 HP with 2900 using DP.
I use Toma for farming stuff. She can handle +2/x8 and fight just about anything that's not heavy on psi damage. Her ST damage is pretty crappy so I don't use her for TFs and things usually. She can tank like an infinite number of non-psi AVs though, since I used her to tank nearly the whole Freedom Phalanx on an LRSF after we downed the psi users.
Tomatre - Energy/Energy/Force Blaster
35% ranged DEF, +26% DMG, 3.4 end/sec recov.
Yup, same character as above. I use this one for testing stuff mostly. She's really good at fighting GMs and doing other special events, so any time something needs testing on the test server I grab her. She's not bad as a TF toon and a general teaming character as a hover-blaster.
Vicious Mitsu / Savage Mitsu - BS/Shield Scrapper / Axe/Shield Brute
These two don't really have any specific bonuses, just some DEF here and there. Both run with a pactmate, Vicious Yuri and Savage Yuri, same sets. They soft-cap when near eachother. Pretty good toons all around, but kind of retired.
Tanya Atta - SS/WP Brute
Almost no IOs on this one. She used to have a few things, but I took them off when I started using Toma. She has Tough/Weave and can handle +2/x6 with no bosses on most of the stuff Toma can do. I don't really play her though because I hate Rage.
Ardent Black - Crab Spider
No IOs. And no accolades. I feel like she would be better if I picked up the right stuff, but she's just not that fun. She feels like a miniature version of Toma. She has less RES, less DEF, less HP, weaker DP, and probably weaker AoE potential. She does get some debuffs, team buffs, and pets, but meh. Just not that interesting.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Quinch: My first character and still the one most fun to play. Mind/emp controller, originally the first Quinch, but now an escaped Revenant Hero clone waging a guerrilla time war against Crey when he's not hiding from them in utter terror of being caught and brought back. Ironically, due to lost records they didn't even know he existed until their labs started mysteriously self-destructing.
Quinch PG: Assault Rifle/Devices blaster. In terms of timeline, the "original" one, after he lost his psionic talent following a brief merging with a dying Kheldian. A completionist character, which means he ran every single mission from every single contact he had and yes, that took a while.
Untranslatable: Grav/kin. The sole survivor {in a way} of a crashed exploration vessel, the ship's AI pieced him together from the dead remains of one of the crewmen and a subspatial communication link with itself. Not much by way of personality.
Smashing Guy: Super strength/invulnerability. Big and Stupid, cranked up to eleven.
Alley (Warmace/Shield brute). Although she's growing up she's still mostly a punk kid from Mercy Island. She usually runs around with a baseball bat and a manhole cover for weapons, an orange bandana and a Freakshow-style drug-pump to boost her abilities. But she does dress up in a sharp suit for when she goes out 'Enforcing' for the Corporation. (read: leg-breaking).
Play-wise, I like Shield Charging ahead of everyone and smack-talking the baddies with slang I picked up watching the Wire. She's not quite soft-capped yet, so, this usually has hilarious results on big teams, but, very fun.
She's also the Villain of the Season on the Unionverse wikipage, so I'm pretty proud about that.
-----------------------------------
Starjet (Willpower/Energy melee/Energy mastery Tank). A Canadian member of the Nuclear 90 and a true blue hero. She really does believe in that truth and justice stuff. Instead of massive energy emissions a la Fusionette, Starjet got her soft tissues infused with nuclear energy which is released whenever an area is struck or she tenses hard enough. Kind of like reactive armour that explodes to deflect blows, and ya know, energy exploding from her fists every time she punches something.
Play-wise, she's soooo tough. I do make sure she's slotted well for taunting, but yeah, soft-capped to energy/negative energy/fire/cold and 65% smashing/lethal resistance with 94+ hp/sec regen just standing still (I did consider soft-capping smashing/lethal, but... it seems like a waste). She's the only character I've slotted out completely. She still has Laser Beam Eyes though, purely for concept reasons.
-----------------------------------
Lucius Macbain (Claws/Regeneration/Energy mastery scrapper). Lucius Macbain (call him Mac) is a kind and gentle Wolverine-type person. Thanks to his mutation he's lived through wars and lots of suffering, so he's tried to settle down and be at peace with himself. Even working for the regular PPD for a while.
However, that isn't my character but one played by my friend. I play the Praetorian version (call him Lucius) who's a sexy badboy hunter with super-keen senses and an evil goatee. My character thinks that other character is a wussy chump and an embarrassment.
Play-wise, wowzors, hastened claws/regen is a lot of clicking. It's crazy manic to play compared to the sedate pace of the other two. He only has a cheap recharge-focused build (no defence) but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Fun historical fact: this guy used to be a girl. My first 50 was Troll Babe, a Troll partially resistant to Superadyne so she retained most of her feminine appearance and intelligence. But, when I moved her to Union from Defiant, well, I'd fallen out of love with character. Her street-level smack-talking territory was kinda replaced by Alley, so, I renamed and reconcepted her to Lucius, above.
OMG! How like, totally kewl are these characters?!1
Heroes.
Bio Lizard (Spines/Invulnerability Scrapper). My first level 50 hero, I remade him a while back as a Spines/Regen and is currently level 42. He should be my next 50 Hero, though I'm not having much fun playing him at the moment.
Epimetheus (Stone/Stone Tanker). Hes my favourite Hero, his inspiration come from my brothers Tanker (PANGAEA) with the same powers. I use him mostly for Task Forces/Trials, and is my only badger on Heroes. Super Leader of a friends Super Group, Erimus Optima on Defiant. Took me about 2 years to reach level 50, my first Tanker to reach it.
Slice and Carry (Broadsword/Willpower Scrapper). A lot of fun to play and near indestructible. Was made one Double XP weekend, reach level 30 there abouts by the end of it, didn't take me long to reach level 50 after that. The story behind his name is complected, half Freakshow with a very Heroic mind.
Crazy Embrangler (Plants/Thermal Controller). Haven't played this guy for a while, though he is fun to play. The name I got from a TV show, one of my favourite. First Controller to reach level 50.
Anthony Diablo (Fire/Kinetics Controller). Another I haven't played for a bit, I made him to see what all the fuss is about, I got a lot of "can u elp me farm plz?" tells, even though my search comment said I didn't and would. Even my description said it. The last time I played it was on a MoITF that was successful with a time on around 50 minutes. I also couldn't stand how many people didn't understand me when I said "do not ask me for SB, you will get it when I give it out" and said "SB please" every frikin minute!
Mercury Green (Radiation/Archery Defender). I made him for a regular team with a Duel Blades/Regen Scrapper and Earth/Storm Controller. First Defender to reach level 50.
Voltilizer (Electric/Devices Blaster). Man, this is a lot of fun to play, last played him on a failed MoSTF attempt. IOed up for mostly damage but also defense/resistance. First Blaster to reach level 50.
Villains
Thorny Devil. (Necromancy/Dark Miasma Mastermind). My namesake, obviously. My first level 50 on Villains. I made him a couple weeks after CoV was released. I still play this one a lot compared to others but Epimeteus. Super Leader of my Threat Group, The Legion Of Darkness on Defiant. Only one of my characters I have managed to solo an AV with, so far. Took me about 18 months to reach 50. Mainly because I didn't want to level to quickly and miss a lot of the story content, since it was new at the time.
Thorny Ninja (Ninjas/Pain Domination Mastermind). Made purely to see what both sets were like, then kept it when it pretty much owned anything it came across. One of my quickest to level 50, about 4 months.
Furious Thorny (Fire/Dark Miasma Corruptor). Kicks butt and never stops, then only Corruptor I can easily solo with. Best thing about this one is: Any Defense/Damage/Accuracy Inspirations I have + Tar Patch + Build Up + Fearsome Stare + Inferno = One Dead Mob. Hes Thorny gone mad. First Corruptor to level 50.
Lord Quagaar (Mace/Willpower Brute). Unstoppable crazy mo foe. I use him a lot in Strike Forces but not for a while. Favourite brute from all I've played/tried. 2nd Brute to reach level 50.
The Other Knight (Axe/Shield Defense Brute). Fun to play but very end heavy I found. Hes meant to be a rogue Dark Knight, I haven't really put much more thought into him.
Slash and Carry (Katana/Willpower Stalker). Evil Twin of the Slice and Carry, obviously. He sat at level 8 for ages till Stalkers got a buff a while back. My first Stalker to reach level 50.
A Fatal Mistake (Electric/Electric Stalker). Original this was a project. I was going to on train up to level 10, then play the other 40 levels without visiting the trainer. Electric Armour was the only set I could find (that I hadn't tried) with Mez protection within them first10 levels, and I figured the attacks would give me some endurance back. The name is simple because I though it would drive me mad enough to kill me, but in the end I just gave up the idea and played it the normal way. Glad I did as it was much fun to play.
KerPunk (Gravity/Psionic Dominator). First Dominator to reach level 50 and wasn't to bad either. Use him a lot in Strike Forces and Trials.
Operative Thorny (Crab/Bane SoA). Haven't played this guy in ages. His two builds are Crab and Bane. So I can swap to either when I like. Prefer the Crab build but not easy to solo I find.
Thornification (Widow/Fortunata SoA). Had a lot of fun playing this one, but not played it for a while. Never played the Fortunata build much.
That is all of them at the moment. I've deleted 3 50s over the 48+ months I've been playing. Bio Lizard (to remake him), a Super Strength/Invulnerability Brute and a Thugs/Dark Miasma Mastermind.
I have but two 50's to mention.
Pink Lioness was my very first character, and remains my #1 character. I got her to 50 last December and have been playing her still a whole year later. Her story is that she was once a famous mixed martial artist who gave up her career to become a superhero after her sister, a detective, was nearly killed by the Hellions in a gunfight. Obviously she's moved far past the Hellions and has become the founder and leader of Lion Fang, my Supergroup on Protector. Her powersets are Martial Arts and Super Reflexes, a combo that I have found to be one of the most potent in the game (but maybe I speak from bias).
My second 50 is Youma Sachiko, who is actually about my tenth or eleventh toon. I got her to 50 last summer. She's a Katana/Regen scrapper. Her story is that she and her husband were attacked by the Circle of Thorns in Steel Canyon. During the attack, the spirits of Sachiko's ancestors, who were samurai, merged with her and gave her the power to fight back against the CoT. "Youma" means "ghost" in Japanese, so basically her name is Ghost Sachiko, because of her merging with her ancestors' spirits.
I started of on redside first and stayed there a long time, sorry heroes are overrated.
Warpact a bots/ff mm my first 50,he performs emotional/pyschological experiments on people to see the effects of fear, dispair, etc.Didn't actually take me too long to level him,I get him out once in awhile to knock stuff around.
Pyerun/Kreigpakt a ss/fa brute my second 50.A forgotten demigod of Slavic mythology he wanders the Earth doing whatever he wants.Recently transferred him to Virtue hence the name change.
Dr.Tesla a elec/elec/elec blaster finally got around leveling a hero, although he is actually tied with my Bane on the third 50 spot.Grandson of the famous scientist he uses his abilities for good.
Necro Portia a Bane I actually play this toon alot.Serving Arbiter Apolis to investigate why several destined ones had been killed,he himself was slain.Apolis petitioned the Mu to raise him, although outside of their abilities they did know of a CoT ritual that could bring the dead to life.
Portia's wife(my wife in rl) led a team of destined ones to procure the spell and succeeded, the spell called "Vengeant Path" brought him back but,as a revenant. He single mindedly is investigating who killed him and has recently changed several things to appear as a destined one.
Impactite a mace/stone brute,I made him to have something unstoppable.Love setting the diff to +4/8 and stomping everything.
Merkuris a fire/kin troller,he's a farmer only reason I created him.
Dark Furyan a name that was my first toon(dk/dk corr) he eventually after several incarnations became a spines/da scrapper. He is an alien with a taste for Rikti flesh, don't play him too much tho.
Hibakusha/Pacte de Guerre my rad/rad corr I wanted a major debuffer after watching a friend take down a gm and later on several people in SC.I made him my badge hunter. Now on Virtue hence the name change.
Stopped leveling toons although I have some in the 30's range,I'm waiting till GR comes out before I try to level anyone up.
Since altitis runs rampant among fans of this game, I am proposing that we indulge ourselves in a brief reprieve to explore how we have found ways to treat this pervasive disorder.
My Elec/Elec/Mu brute, Sprite Night, continues to be my favorite character to play. It was my first 50, and has gone through numerous respecs. The recent improvement to the set has just made it even more enjoyable to play. It currently sports 30% melee defense on top of already impressive resists, making it one of my most versatile brutes.
My Fire/Nrg/Fire blaster, Pyrhiccup, who alas was unable to take fire breath due to my goal of the range softcap, was my first hero 50, and is still my favorite blueside character. Between being able to punch away anything that comes near me to the joy of melting your opponent, I have greatly enjoyed this character. It sports 46% ranged defense, and hovers over the battlefield raining fire down on the helpless mobs.
Anyway, that's enough about me. What about you?
