Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Jim lee.
I'd go with Jim Lee. His Magneto in the first 3 issues of the then-new Xmen were... DROOL worthy.

if it wasn't for all of the cblatant plaguerism's of other artist's works I would almost feel sorry for liefeld. It's really not he's fault he's so crappy, he should never have worked in comics in the first place with he's level of anatomical knowledge.
It's not Liefeld's muscles that I have the biggest problem with. The thing that really irritates me is the large amount of guns and pouches in everything he draws. But the biggest irritator is what he does to the eyes. In everything of his I've seen they're either closed/missing, have no irises, or have just white when they really have no need to. It even seemed to rub off on his imitators, giving way to what I call Young Blood's Disease (thank you to thatguywiththeglasses' Linkara for the ability to name/steal the name of this).
I like the no iris look, it's available in the CC twice, not only as a normal face (alien 14) but also in the blatant shiny auras for the eyes. What drives me nuts about Liefield, is his inventive anatomy...but even more than that attrocity is his use of cross hatching on every surface, not even lines that form along the shape if it was say a cylindrical thigh, but instead it goes against the shape, almost against the imaginary grain on purpose. It's just insane the amount of unusual lines, unnecessary lines, lines for the sake of just being there because it's the only spot he hasn't put lines on. I tell you if his figures were done in Braille, the would make complete sense, but for the rest of us, it creates too much surface tension.
Jim Lee does it too, but he does it stylistically and in moderation. It's almost as if Liefield watched Jim draw those lines, and thought the more the merrier. McFarlane does it too, but at least he has some interesting design work. Liefield is on line crack!

I'm also going to bring up an odd choice, but one which maybe will spark interest in her stuff (given that she IS an eisner winner and all), Carla Speed McNeil. The author of Finder, and collaborator on several interesting projects otherwise here and there.
Also, for *beautiful* as well as manly men, Colleen Doran. She's worked with major DC and indie authors as well as having her own projects. I've got a page from Distant Soil which is yummeh, everything she draws is just beautiful.

As for Art being "related to Conan", Barry Windsor Smith, John Buscema, Boris Vallejo, Joe Jusko, Earl Norem, Alfredo Alcala, Ernie Chan and Tony Dezuniga PUT Conan on the Art map! If not for them, Arnold would never have had a movie career... and Lance Henriksen would have been the Terminator.
For guys I've always liked Jim Lee, Alex Ross, and Mike Deodato Jr. stuff. Anything by Jim and Alex are always gems, and Mike's Spideys and Avengers stuff always grab my attention.
