Thanks, Bubba, for posting your results. I'm sorry I fell so far behind.
Sadly, I don't have as much free time as before, so I think it might be best to put the contest on "hiatus" right now - unless someone else would like to take charge. -
Quote:Burnt Matchstick? I just take the volunteers as they come to me. Bubbawheat will be doing the judging.Grats Mariner!
Man Naz you just make this harder and harder!
And here are you Captain Ultra results! -

Captain Ultra entries have been collected!
I'm starting to feel better, so i think I'll be able to catch up this week. I'll probably have your next contestant in a day or two. -
Nice entry, Henri. Where's everyone else's?
I know I still haven't posted the results from the last contest, but my mind has been stuck in a cold medication-induced haze all week. Hopefully, things will clear up soon, and I'll be able to get back on track. -
Here's something to keep you all busy while I make time to work on the critiques... Captain Ultra. Go nuts.
-
All the Icicle entries have been collected, but I wanted to let everyone know that the results will probably be delayed. As will the next contestant (unless I get a volunteer to simply copy and paste
).

Do you get the actual pieces of art or just the digital files?

It's been a busy weekend, so I haven't had time to put together the next contest. I can either post it tomorrow and give you less time to complete it or I can just skip this week altogether. What say you?

Quote:I insert the forumites as I get volunteers. Otherwise, I just use an existing character that I think could use a new look.Been overlooking this thread for quite a while now. Always had fun doing these in the pairs versions a while back. Question: This originally started with an established comic book character and moved on to some forumites. Is there any specific way you pick them? (and I would be happy to offer up Burnt Matchstick, can never have too many design ideas to choose from)

Quote:Is that an actual comics appearance or a piece of fan art? It's hard to tell.Congrats!
I was very fond of his creation as well, though it was very true to the orgin, even if I wasnt sold on the colors, the overall look was spot on cool!
And for reference for my color choices... as always I do way too much google-in' of characters to find some obscure reference to work with. I was using this one:

Damn! I wish I could afford commissions like you can.
I'm super envious.

Today is your last day for Baron Blitzkrieg entries!
-
EnnVee, who's your hubby (so I have appropriate info when writing up the results)? Will you also be joining us? I seem to remember you being a semi-regular with the color palette contests.

Keep 'em coming!

I think the confusion comes from the phrase about it being a Praetorian version of Terminal Velocity. I probably should have just left that part out.
TV, correct me if I'm wrong, but the character that was up for a makeover is named Kinetic Barrage, who is a Praetorian version of your namesake, Terminal Velocity (like Tyrant is a Praetorian version of Statesman). The idea was to create a new costume for Kinetic Barrage, not a Praetorian version.
