My Only Praetoria Complaint: The content is so good, I don't want to miss it by teaming!
You're not alone! I got so into the Power and Crusader arcs with my first two characters that I didn't want to team at all. I had to turn down about eleven team invites on those characters because I didn't want to miss anything storywise.

Spawning Chaos, 469020: Form an army of Freaks, win the Freaklympics!

Same. I have a usual gang of people that I play with, but I find I have been avoiding them to a degree so that I can play solo...

Your not missing much, when I team in Praetoria I lose lots of time watching all the wipeouts. I have a much more enjoyable time soloing than teaming in Praetoria.

V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50

I came into the same problem and solo'd until level 20 on /ghide to avoid team invites. Heck, even solo I had to turn off XP in order to avoid outleveling arcs before I got to the moral choice.
I suppose you could team w/out XP enabled to avoid outleveling content, but eventually the team will want to play your missions too... and do you really want a speed-based team glossing over all of the NPC chat and mission briefs/ debriefs?
I've been enjoying the story so much, I still want to make two more Praetorians to follow the Loyalist paths.

I solo a lot anyway, but I have gone into total solo mode with the Praetorians stuff. I'm having a lot of fun reading the stories, and that's usually just not possible on most teams.
I'm having one go through it just to get a feel for it. I'm having at least one other go through for the actual content. I'm not sure what the story is for some of the missions, but there are some that come across as badly done on a large scale missions. I wasn't the leader so I have no clue that the real story was, but simply facing a string of bosses in an arc, and repeatedly only one single boss with nothing else in a mission just comes across as lazy. Praetoria as a whole gets a big thumbs up for me. I was walking around and going, "This place needs 50 levels of content."

Story-wise, I've enjoyed what I've done of the content. But gameplay-wise I've found myself wishing quite often that I could adjust the difficulty down to -1. It's to the point that now I'm just street-sweeping to level, since the main attraction of Praetoria for me is avoiding redside altogether in order to bring characters of those ATs blueside.

Im just trying to lvl just with a friend for same reason.
But I think the problem is not teaming. The problem is, there are many mobs in every mission. If you cleanning every map with a team, you lvl so fast that you outlevel contacts and arcs.
Look out the ambushes, crazy thing in a team of 6...
At this levels, maps in Rogue or Paragon are smaller and we got less mobs to defeat. Not a complain at all, I like gainning xp and leveling fast, is a way to want create more character to explore different paths.
Crazy, I know. But I've got 4 characters in Praetoria now, working through all 4 storylines... and I don't want to team up with them, and outlevel any of the content. I Should have rolled something more solo friendly than Controllers and Tanks I suppose...

That actually helps. Allows for teaming, allows you to not miss the arcs.
I had to streetsweep just to get to level 4, and I was killing everything in the missions.
I felt bad that I teamed my way through Praetoria on my DP/Sonic Corr, just because I needed the second costume slot for concept! That's how fast I leveled with 8 man teams. It was all BOOM 20! I would of been out of Praetoria sooner, but I wanted the seer badge (didnt hunt enough of them on the teams) and all the other badges before I left.
Whew! Teaming is just that quick in Praetoria to level 20!

Tip - play a stalker and ghost what you can if you want to play a lot of content on one toon, I did every resistance mission that way.
Irritation - missions that are not single player, but require you to talk to somebody in mission, which means no shared completion on teams.
Irritation - my contact's been kidnapped, the mish is bugged, who do I go see to skip it ? contact's not there, GM to sort out.
It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba
