Ok, DXP is coming up
I have prepared by booking the 10th off of work! woot!
There's 3 toons of mine in the 45+ range that I have decided to get to 50 by the end of the weekend.
The last DXP was kind of wild and wooly market-wise with wide variations in prices.

I expect this one to be a relatively quiet affair, too, considering it comes so soon on the heels of the last one. I'm just going to play the market as normal and level up some new characters.
I disagree. The last DXP was actually quite tame, in comparison to the one in January and especially in comparison to all the AE excitement. One interesting thing I did note was that on at least some of the items I kept an eye on, speculation prevented prices from rising significantly since people kept releasing hoarded stocks over the duration of the event.

Unlike the last 2xp weekend this one is also a reactivation weekend.
I rarely do anything special for 2xp marketeering, I just move more junk for higher profits than I would have otherwise.
Although I do have quite a few "good" crafted IOs my ar/dev has been saving in base storage that will be busted out.
And anyone who crafts, now is the time to churn out as many generic IOs as you can store- common salvage is flatlined right now and the 2xp appetite for those things is bottomless.

Yeah, I'm playing it pretty cool, too, business as usual, perhaps (maybe certainly) a bit more brisk than usual.
(Edited to add): Considering that a lot of folks are going to be playing sub-50's, anywhere from teens up, this might mean not so much 50's recipes/IO's in demand as the mid/upper levels, although we can expect quite a few to peak at 50 and slot up accordingly, just guessing. I'm hedging my bets both ways.
I would honestly say the best bet is to load up on rare salvage and generic IO's really. Have noticed that the cost of rare salvage is creeping up again. Am guessing there will be a lot of need to buy it now people out there this weekend
I'm planning to finish leveling my level 44 Katana/Dark scrapper. And I have one or two hundred crafted set IOs to supply as demand spikes. I figure we're all getting better and better at keeping the market supplied during times of high demand, so maybe prices will spike less than ever before. We'll see.

It warmed the blackened lump of interstellar rock I use for a heart to get 3.5 million for a Prophecy last night.

I doubt I'll have more than a few hours in game over the 4days.
I'll be playing for XP on a few lowbies not marketeering this time.
@Catwhoorg "Rule of Three - Finale" Arc# 1984
@Mr Falkland Islands"A Nation Goes Rogue" Arc# 2369 "Toasters and Pop Tarts" Arc#116617
If i still crafted (thanx for lowering the badge requirements, devs!), i'd be salivating at the idea of Recharge and End Redux IOs reaching 1 mil inf again, if just for a day. Sadly, i don't feel it's worth my time to compete with hundreds of other listings for meager amounts of inf (meager in the sense that i can earn that much in an hour of actually playing).
What WILL shoot up is purples, Gold roll IOs, and possibly PvP IOs.. maybe the more popular sets, as well (oblit, Zephyr, you know the ones). More 50s with more money in less playtime (which means less chance of someone getting the random drop they want) = cha CHING!

Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)
I'm looking forward to getting a couple lowbies up (red side) and making a ton of common IO's(blue side)
The last few 2XP I made bank on selling common IOs but this time I am just going to level up some characters.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I'll be running my BM map, 4 accounts, 4 Fire trollers, usually they get 2.7 - 2.9 Million per run so I'll be looking at 20+ Million per run in dxp + drops.
Gonna be busy.

No, I'm not making this up and this is not a typo.
Since it was on a character without a decent cash reserve, I did a happy dance.
(Good score on the Prophecy, though.)
Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!
Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.
No special changes for me... My marketeer toons will be "business as usual"
unless something bizarre occurs.
So, I'll just be levelling a couple new toons I started the other day...

Over the last several we would build up a substantial supply of crafted IOs and release them over DXP weekend and the weeks following. The last one was a bust compared to the previous ones. For this one I dont plan anything special just gona take the time to level up a few 40+ toons I have on hand.
I'll likely will be leveling characters as well. Proliferation got me in altitis mode lately and my 50s are pretty much set up, with lowball bids on high end stuff, just in case.
Just need to make sure I have enough 30s common crafted for all of those possible lowbies, so I am not totally dependant on the market craze that is bound to happen.
I'll have my buy it nao moments (I always do) but I'll try to minimize them of some sorts.

I'm kind of curious how y'all are preparing for DXP. The last DXP was kind of wild and wooly market-wise with wide variations in prices. I was fortunate enough then to build some market experience and to realize a major jump up in inf with several characters.
So, what's up for this coming weekend? What are you expecting and how are you preparing? Will the correction in drops change things? Will the 'nao' demand cause a spike in otherwise stable IO prices? Will these balance? Your thoughts?
(FTR, I've already established a few market positions and collections in preparation - time will tell whether I got it right or not with tens and even hundreds of millions in the balance...)
