Is this mean or nice?
I have fifty million, I must be rich...
Double me on that, I wont complain. Heck quadruple me, please.
My main villain has about 150 grand. Please do double that. It would be very nice.
I would think it'd be nice... Just explain that it's not "charity" in a negative sense (as in they're a bum)... It's "charity" in a positive sense (as in you're a giving sort of person)

I think it's funny that some folks think 3 million is a lot, and others think 30 million, or even 300.
Until about a year ago, the most I ever had on all my characters *combined* was less than 1 million. Then of course, the auction house changed all that. But still, my whole spread of characters is still "worth" less than 100 million, and that's with a LOT of sell-it-if-you-can't-use-it lucky strikes.
For my part, I never hesitate to allow people to give me more. I give it away at times myself, so it's all in motion anyway.

Not quite 500mil on my main, 400 of it due to a contest. About 300mil on her twin over on Justice, 250 of that came from the sell of 1 crafted IO.
I remember back when I was still on the trial, and some random hero came up and traded me 250k, for nothing. I thought I was rich.
If i ever get 2bil on my hero ill take a screen shoot then have a CC for 200mil
-grumbles-
And people wonder why the market prices are up?
...
Spare us a coupla mil, guv?
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

If I ever get a billion influence, I'd hold a random series of contests and give half of it away. Really.
Can't come up with a name? Click the link!
Only time i ever game money away was when I got a pvp IO and it sold for 600mill. I had a CC contest and gave away 75 mill in prizes.
The character I made at launch is my richest... with just over 100 million.
I'd love more. Really, I would.

Wow I have 7.2 BILLION spread across 11 Heroes.
Is it mean? I must be rich. AMIRITE?

How many alts do you have?
How many hours a week do you play?

also, anyone interested in filling their swimming pool with gold doubloons to swim around in follow the link in my sig- it encompasses everything you need to become filthy stinking rich.

My concept stalker (played 'casual' style: all story arcs, stealths everything possible, never kills more than absolutely necessary to complete the mission) earned 30 million by level 30 with no marketeering, just selling drops.

Basically if you team and do task / strike forces, I've noticed you tend to have a LOT more inf. I don't, still don't, so most of my characters are poor. They usually have enough to buy set fillers when I get a recipe drop or two that fits them. I haven't run out of money on anyone for a long while, but that's because I can still move stuff around with friends online now and then.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I some times in my sg or other times just random people i here them saying "WOW I HAVE 3MILL! I most be rich." So do you all think it's mean or nice to say "Want me to double that?" and then really do double it? I have had people get mad at me saying they don't need charity but on the other hand a lot are very very happy about it...

And of course you must be honest with yourself as to what you are actually saying.
Does "Want me to double that" mean:
- You are silly to think your accomplishment is actually worth much - let me demonstrate by carelessly doubling the amount you have earned out of my chump change. See how advanced I am as a player compared to you?
Or...
- That's well done. If it is agreeable to you, I would like to reward your efforts with additional inf, so you can buy something really nice for yourself.
For a naughty or nice analysis, it is important to try andanticipate how they hear your offer, but it is essential that you are ruthlessly honest with yourself about which end of the spectrum your offer tends towards.
Keep in mind that there is no body language, intonation, or anything but bare text to temper a remark in this medium.
My scrapper doesn't need an AoE. She IS an AoE.

Writer of In-Game fiction: Just Completed: My Summer Vacation. My older things are now being archived at Fanfiction.net http://www.fanfiction.net/~jwbullfrog until I come up with a better solution.
I tend to give a lot of my extra inf away as well, though I try to run contests whenever possible. Like The Mission Architect Player Awards. You could always help contribute.
Well, okay to be fair, my newer toons have WAY more inf on them than my older ones, because I soloed the older ones a LOT. Hell my first 50 still only has like less than a million on her and I do still play her. Oh yeah - I respecced her and then realized holy crap I don't have any inf to buy new io's lol!

Now he's 43, nicely slotted (cheap, good sets or frankenslotting) with a 250 mil bankroll, the vast bulk of it from selling drops (some crafted). He did dabble in flipping uncommons during the heart of the MA-generated salvage drought, but that was just for fun, he wasn't making any real inf from it.
And I solo nearly exclusively. I haven't run a TF in years except for a couple of pre-merit Katies (never got a good roll either). The inf piles up like crazy with minimal effort, whatever your playstyle.
Of course the nice thing is that we can have a great time on any budget- SO's still work great, a really nice IO build can be had for a few million, and 'the good stuff' is out there for players who develop a sweet tooth for l337 set bonuses.

By the time I rolled my new toon, he was gone, so I didn't have a chance to reply. I hope that he stuck around though. Always good to have new players in the game.
@Roderick
I have no money problems on any of my toons anymore, and have done a ~2 billion build, and several 500+ million builds. All in all I have over 5 billion worth of stuff on all my characters. I've never managed to join the billionaire's club though. I can't seem to hold on to my money long enough. It's generally spent long before I get close to that amount of liquid cash. I often try to give away inf, either to lowbies, or through quick, random costume contests and I've run into the same thing the OP mentioned. Some people think you're trying to one-up them if you give them money.
What am I missing here?
I always end up broke as spit on my characters...
Recipes I get never seem worth anything. Is making ALL of them really worth it? Is salvage profitable?
I know my Main (See forum handle) is doing ok, slotting him slowly but steadily and all, and my Tanker isnt doing too bad...
But my high point was 20 million. Never ever got a purple drop, rarely got a rare that was worth anything, cant even dream of these 100,200 etc millions that people talk about...
And aren't the markets EU-US linked? So server shouldnt matter, irrc

Bid a few million for a bunch of tier-one inspires or some lowbie DO's.
Maybe some teen-level Pet Damage or Snipe recipes.
I'm sure the lucky recipients will appreciate the gift, although anyone reading the last 5 will whine "OMG I can't afford ANYTHING! The Market is evil from the marketeers and farmers and Positron and....<stupid rant>!"
But, being anonymous, you won't get pestered by beggar tells either.
