Oh not me... I stripped my other 50's of their dignity like a weekend dad just out of prison. I recall shamefully respecing my 50 Dual Blades Willpower scrapper just to unlock a Numinas +regen+recover. I left him standing in Talos Island if I can recall, standing there, with no slotting and nothing to his name but a pair of ragged pants.

I've had to do the same to my other characters. Basically I can afford to play 2 I figure, and that is without the extreme expensive stuff too.

I really want to revisit my elec/elec tank, but he's too far away from 50, and too broke to care. lol

LOL poor guy, you should at least place him some where where he will be comfortable.

Ok this might be it.

I explored my larger issues in my own thread, and now I think I have this scrapper done.

Here's the bottom line..... or my so called issues with the build:

- In extreme cases, I get defense debuffed, and I am deader than crap. I have 59.4% resist to debuff defense. Can I increase that without borking the build? Is it worth it?

- Short of Glad, or Shield Wall, I can't get anymore positional Def out of this build. OR... CAN I? The balance is keeping GOOD recharge. I see -some-builds with more DEF but no recharge. And while on the topic of defense... is it even worth trying to get more?

- You will notice a 'blank' slot at level 50 in Tough. This is in case I win 400 consecutive Costume Contests in Atlas Park and buy a +3 Def Gladiator Enh.

- The build dropped Musculature Alpha, and is now using Spiritual Alpha to get CLOSE to perma hasten, for heal/shield charge/Soul Drain which are my favorite powers in the set. (Musculature just seems a waste for this power set, but Nerve for DEF would be sassy, but perhaps unnecessary?)

- One last thing...I disabled the Accolades. I had been making builds on other people's posts I suppose and noted I was sabotaging my efforts and realized some people post with a lot of accolades turned on!

Any tweaks I can do to this monster?

I've basically been stripping 7 years of toons to come up with cash to kit out my DM/Shield and say 2-3 other toons. I liquidated over 3B the other day to buy a +3 Gladiator DEF, and I probably have to buy another one lol!

Ok, I"m at a loss how you pumped up the S/L resistance so high? I think you found nearly 20%?

Now on the GA Proc question, I did note in my post above that I was saving "Slot 50" on Tough for the 'possibility' of getting one of those... but with the build you suggest, where would it go?

Just to be clear, is the GA Proc the one that takes something like 35 A merits? Because... I doubt I will ever own one if that is the way to do it.

But yea, I don't know where I would put it in this build, and also, even though I'm not sure how you found that S/L resist, the build looks good.. if not a tad scary in the Endurance usage though.

Accolades are a completely accepted method for improving builds and should be included by any serious player by default.

If you're going to spend all that time on a build, all that INF to purchase all of your IO sets, then it makes no sense of any kind to leave out accolades.

So I think you we're doing the right thing.

Now I've re-read the numbers 3 times, and unless I'm losing my mind (Highly possible), then your tweak has me losing a bit of defense, and a LOT of resistance. I must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure I'd want to go that direction if I'm reading everything correctly.

You have OWTS turned on. That's the major discrepancy in resistances.

You're DDR should be good for the most part, you won't have perma double stacked AD - but as long as you keep hasten running your gap in coverage will only be a few seconds, this is usually the most dangerous when you start a mission.

Otherwise you're at 59% DDR, and around 83% when double stacked.

You can either look for a third slot for AD for another HO, or you can just carry a few small purples with you "just in case".

Whats up everyone? Well to start this off I am sort of new to the game and was wondering with Santorican's build what would your ideal Enhancements be? Like is Touch of Death still viable or is that what you have on your char currently? Thank ahead of time

It depends on the time of day lol. Murcielago is constantly evolving so one build might use Touch of Death in Smite but another build might use Hecatomb and the Clouded Sense Proc for an example.

It's a beast, but it is a pretty good end pig.

One thing that came to me is I'm running Spiritual Alpha right now and I don't even have all the LotG +7 slotted yet that you see in this build, and even with the uncommon Spiritual, I am getting my powers back up really decent.

So considering my END HOG issues, plus my recharge seems better than I expected... Last night I started to monitor my damage, and of course Soul Drain is awesome, and Against All Odds is equally impressive....

What I noticed is I was getting some SICK multipliers on damage, and I thought what if I took musculature alpha?

I mean imagine getting an extra... 30% (approx?) beyond ED THEN multiplied by 160%! or 200%.

It could make my character a bigger wrecking ball than he already is.... and the secondary benefit of END MOD in Musculature would also help end recovery... not much, but it helps.

Anyway, just food for thought. The build is pretty tight, but a bit of a pig. I Notice against some +4's I was getting hit a lot more in the RWZ... it kind of ticked me off... seeing at 65% def to positional I was still getting hit. (with an insp!) So I'm even thinking Cardiac... Core... blah. Boring. !!!!!

That damage isn't multiplied. It's added.

Smite without any slots is 100% damage. (82ish)
Enhance it up with +95% = 195%. (160ish or +78)
Soul Drain and Against All Odds add another 200% = 395%. (324ish or +164)
Musculature boosts damage by +30% over damage cap = 425%. (349ish or +25)

Musculature adds around 30-45 percent damage depending on the power's base slotting and that's it. Smite does around 82 damage unslotted. Very Rare Musculature will add 37 damage to an unslotted power whether or not Soul Drain and AAO are giving you 0% damage bonus or 200% damage bonus.

(This why I'm not too fond of Musculature as an Alpha Boost. An extra 37 damage from Musculature is only a bit better than eating a Medium Red Skittle and overshadowed by a Large Red.)

(Oh, sorry if I'm misremembering the base damage for Smite, I'm at work and have little time or access to look up current power damage numbers. My example still stands as all the math scales with whatever the current base damage is)

Ah okay then, musculature is out... and out for my blaster for good too... if that's how it works.

If it's after modiefiers, like multipliers from stuff like AAO, then it's pretty meaningless.

Seriously though.... without using Glads, or Shield Wall, it is over cap, and a beast. BUT sometimes end use, like I said, is a little excessive.

Otherwise, I have spent a ton on this guy. Blew another 200 Mil last night (even though I had most of the build done, just tweaked differently).

I can't finish it yet, but because recharge is looking good, I am seriously thinking of a different ALPHA.... even like I suggested 'Cardiac'.

I think cardiac would remove all my end issues... plus give me some much needed resist help when the ol' shield fails and something karate chops me in the thorax.

(Unfortunately the 'resist' element of Cardiac is rather lethargic when you don't have much for resists in the first place, however, 5% is 5%... some people pay Billions for 5%.)

A consistent ST DPS Def based toon, yeah no Shield Charge -- so if you feel you can not live without SC then move along.


am thinking of removing Dmg/End's from [Gloom] and [Soul Drain] and replacing with Dmg.. (he used to be tight on end before G19, but managed just fine -- then recieved 3 new powers which were all toggles (ran out of worthwhile stuff so picked up GC) and was way too end heavy and now that he has Very Rare Alpha there is zero end issues even with being a 'toggle monster' (12 toggles and 2 clickes).)

Im confused, either my mids is messed up or you aren't soft capped to anything, if mids is right then I have to ask

You spent all that inf but didn't even softcap the toon?

Assault is largely pointless on a Brute, especially one that has other massive sources of +Damage.

Tough is underslotted.

Midnight grasp does not need 6 slots of Hecatomb.

You want people to accept that you have skipped shield charge, except shield charge is one of the major components that gives this combination synergy.

I know you wanted perma hasten, but 4 slots is 1 slot too many. Get the recharge elsewhere.


I highly suggest you reconsider some of your choices, and make sofcapping all 3 positions your first priority.

Hello!

I made a dark/shield scrapper and did just hit 50. I want a nice build for it but didnt know where to start, so did ninja Elektros build.

To not make myself to poor i did remove the purple set and the HO;s. I also removed a slot from active defenses to get 6 slot in siphon life.

Any thoughts on Elektros build and my slighlty different version?

Here is the build I'm currently using on my DM/Shield brute, he doesn't have any end problems and is soft capped to everything except ranged, and that will be fixed as soon as I get around to adjusting his built to take advantage of inherent fitness (probably adding leadership powers).

Wow I forgot how tight not having the GA: Proc makes builds. It looks good though the recommendation that I can make is to focus on is +HP and trying to raise your DDR.
