I will admit, the character has end issues. I hate that. But I'm running a lot of toggles, and sometimes when Hasten drops, or OwtS, I have had my toggles drop! Nasty! Even conserve power requires end... and I find I have to cycle Conserve Power throughout mobs, with my old build I did'nt have to... I may have to fix that. I can't imagine using the Endurance incarnate... it just feels wasteful.
Sounds like you've asked and answered your own question as to what Alpha slot enhancement to go for.

Well, I'm glad you're curious, because I'm curious too, but lazy.

If to-hit is 64%, the soft cap is 59%, the very rare might provide around 3%, so you'll need around 56%. The uncommon would provide (15%*20%*2/3+20%*1/3)*21.03% = (2%+6.6667%)*21.03% = 1.82% defense. So you'll need around 57%. And you'll probably want another percent or two over that to handle debuffs.

I would like to learn how to calculate the math needed for this game so I can become a numberz cruncher lol. I think I'd shoot for 60% using defense bonuses and keep my Spiritual AS to increase my recharge it doesn't seem like it is a reasonable trade off until I get to the very rare when I have a 3% wiggle room in order to add more recharge.

Yea... I was wondering about those Devouring Earth in the tips mission. I went in and was shocked to see all these friggin plant things with no eyes treating me like a pin cushion.

They really didn't miss... wow that was nasty. And totally unexpected from beings without... eyes.

I may be stuck taking the Cardiac Incarnate. My build is too end heavy right now.... but it is strong, and has good damage. The 'acceptance' of taking the Endurance Incarnate opens up a new possibility for my slotting though. If Endurance was zero concern, I made a fun 'build' with that idea in mind.

Actually now that I think of it... this is my current build.... Anything 'stupid' about it?

Like I said, end problems in some long winded fights, but the damage has been stellar. (I don't have all the LotG global recharges in yet, so sometimes I wait for dark consumption/shield charge (my opening combo) longer than I want....

You could always go brute and pick up darkest night.

I don't know about you guys, heck I don't know what server you're on, but on Freedom, I often start up conversations with people (if they aren't busy) about their toons.

At Wentworth's I was asking someone about their level 50 KM/- toon. They pretty much make fun of people like 'us'.

The forum is full of 'min maxers' and don't get enough out of other aspects of the game.

I hear that more than you'd think.

I was playing on a level 50 team (I don't think anyone was under 45) and a tank was asking how I/O's work. I bet this has happened to you too.

I do think the numbers are getting too complicated for the average player. Heck the time I put into my build? Man if I put half that time into remodeling my bathroom, I'd have a throne fit for Statesman himself.

'We' are definitely in the minority... IMHO.

Its Freedom, what do you expect. I rarely venture into Freedom anymore and the only time I do is with WiFry for PvP and usually after I have to go take a shower.

'We' are definitely in the minority... IMHO.
Everyone has fun in different ways. Different people enjoy different things. We're not "you" living in different bodies. We're different, often VERY different. I am amazed at the vast number of people who don't get this basic fact about human nature.

It doesn't bother me at all being in the small minority of players that min/max. But it does strike me as almost willfully ignorant of human nature that people somehow think we're doing it wrong, as if there's a wrong way to play a game. If you're having fun and not ruining everyone else's fun, you're doing it right, whether that's min/maxing, picking powers only because they sound cool, role playing, speed task forcing, pick up groups, farming, marketeering, whatever. I'm having fun.

Hi _Elektro_, here is your test build with some changes i did.
You choose Grant cover and i'm not a fan of it, i desactivated it so the end consumption isn't that bad anymore, removed all slots from boxing and replaced them in super jump, laser beam eye (taken in place of conserve power) and still keeps the same ranged defense, the others go in tough for AoE def and resist (sitting at 38% s/l now).

Those changes are interesting and actually an overall improvement in the build, including some nicer resist numbers, but the problem I'm having right now is endurance in longer fights. This build actually has higher endurance consumption.

Also, if I deactivate 'grant cover' do I still get the effects of Shield Wall?

Yes it works while the power isn't active. I tried the steadfast protection in tough on some of my toons, not all use it except as a mule.

I still have the same problem with my own DM/SD scrapper, end consumption talking, so i'm leading to cardiac alpha slot to compensate. I hope it'll work that way.

Elektro you will lose alittle bit in terms of resistance but will also lower your end consumption in this build. Also you will not have the recharge necessary to run the highest dark attack chain.

Nice so with my new Hasten-less Incarnate build I will have enough recharge to run MG>SM>SP>SL>SM>SP with the VRAS Spiritual CP. I wish there was a chain that spammed SL more but required around the same recharge.

Alright I know this sounds crazy but I am making a build to solo the Apex TF without inspirations. If you all can look over my build and see if there is anything that can be changed let me know. Right now I'd really like to focus on lowering my endurance usage while maintaining my recharge bonuses. It is built for 59% defense to all positions while maintaining a 94.25% DDR with double stacked AD slotted with 3 L52+ Membrane Exposures I don't think I will have permanent double stacked though, if I am reading this right I will have a 40 second period where it will not be double stacked which will be scary........

I'm always more worried about not getting in than getting a close look at the numbers, but the final patches feel like one tick of ~240 and one tick of 80 every half second or so), and I assume those patches would be centered on you every single time if you'd be alone, stacking multiple times and not letting you into melee for more than a few seconds before you'd have to move away.

Frankly, the Apex softcap should be the least of your concerns here. I don't see any melee AT soloing that TF, with or without insps, until we get a wee bit more powerful with the Incarnate system.

(Might be already possible with the usual ranged suspects, but even then... You have to find 7 level 50 willing to help you start it, including one who's going to keep the character on team. Not an easy task by any means.)

Hmm maybe I might have to go with hover and grab the VR Nerve Core boost to reach the soft cap...
