  1. I liked the Soul debuff Darkest Night too but i stay with focused accuracy for the +tohit bonus. It helps me with CCs and provoke in Apex and Tin mage content, or at least any lvl +4 TFs.

  3. Mine is a quite fast runner : 28.7mph with only Granite, 15.8 mph with Granite and Rooted on.
    This is doable with 45+ def to all types of damages protected by Granite.
    I feel it really comfortable to play with, i can easily run out of a blue patch in Apex TFs, run after fleeing mobs or anything.
    A lot of sets give run bonuses like everyone said. this link talks about the sets : http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=119607
    It helped me a lot.
  4. As said before, teaming helps a LOT !
    I spent most of my time with a tank in a duo. It worked like a charm for me, i could just focus on firing my powers without taking any damages.
  5. Here i am again, to post my build to be criticized . After reading this post and others, playing with my and your templates for some time now, here is what i've done best so far.

    I've lost the Fire PPP for Body Mastery to handle the extensive sloting of some powers.
    What can be improved to your judgment ? Still without purple or PVP sets, i just can't afford them right now :/

    Yes it works while the power isn't active. I tried the steadfast protection in tough on some of my toons, not all use it except as a mule.

    I still have the same problem with my own DM/SD scrapper, end consumption talking, so i'm leading to cardiac alpha slot to compensate. I hope it'll work that way.

    I may be stuck taking the Cardiac Incarnate. My build is too end heavy right now.... but it is strong, and has good damage. The 'acceptance' of taking the Endurance Incarnate opens up a new possibility for my slotting though. If Endurance was zero concern, I made a fun 'build' with that idea in mind.

    Hi _Elektro_, here is your test build with some changes i did.
    You choose Grant cover and i'm not a fan of it, i desactivated it so the end consumption isn't that bad anymore, removed all slots from boxing and replaced them in super jump, laser beam eye (taken in place of conserve power) and still keeps the same ranged defense, the others go in tough for AoE def and resist (sitting at 38% s/l now).

    Bots/Traps input

    You'll need something like 33% def melee, range, AOE if you trust your little protector bot to buff you.

    Here is what i've done with mine, working pretty well :
    - i couldn't take Hasten, no more power pool aviable
    - i am on quite a budget to make it, so no purples or at least not the expensive ones
    - i need a good recharge overall and a reasonable endurence consumption, i'm trying to figure right now which incarnate is more suitable for this. For now i'm quite happy with cardiac.
    - my bots were hit too often with my old template so i decided to be more active at protecting them, so i choose soul epic pool for the cone with -tohit added to seeker drones -tohit, and stun aura added to photon grenade's stun.
    - the resists shields are active only when i want my pets to be really offensive and so i can't benefit from bodyguard. In the case i don't use them spiritual alpha sounds better.

    I tried this solo in +1/x8 tip missions, several types of ennemies and it works really well. Trap being a toe bombing set, the stun aura works really fine and protects me even more.

    Yeah i believe i could do some AV runs from time to time but i don't restrain me to not use inspirations and i play mostly in teams. I just look for something with enough tricks to be comfortable to play with in most situations.

    Looking at your builds i was wondering : what if I want to make one myself with my budget, ie without purples ?

    what I was aiming for :
    - melee/range/aoe defenses cap
    - more than 2000 HP
    - "good" regen
    - as less as possible end consumption to sustain this build with end-res alpha slot.

    Grav/Energy

    Mine isn't energy but fire assault but share the same primary, Gravity. I really like it and despite all i can read about AoE controls, i don't find i lack anything.
    I use lift instead of the ST root.
    I use a lot the AoE root with a Hold proc (purple) in it.
    I LOVE (!) Wormhole a lot. With a purple set in it and domination up it's godly. Just send an AoE root first and nobody moves away when the power "explodes". And it's just too much fun to throw an entire pack in the air and sing "It's raining men".

    Warshade duo.

    Hi

    I played with a tanker (Willpower) since lvl 30 and we both went to 50 together. It's a really safe duo to play with, since he can grab agro and leaves you free to go around in and/or out of melee to cast mires, novas and blasts.

    I guess any kind of tank would do the trick, but i only tried it with a willpower/elec. He can take down the first few minions without much efforts and you do the monster killing after that.

    Fort build help

    Hi (first post in a long time, and english isn't my first language, so sorry for incoming errors)

    This is what i've done with your build, keeping in mind the good rechage and recovery idea. I've added a nice amount of +dmg bonuses aswell. The regen isn't that high and with Mind link (which is perma) you still keep more than enough defense to pass the soft cap.

    Tell me if something is wrong about it.

    (i've never played a Fortunata before, so this is a totally theorical build from my twisted mind)
