Anyone with pets when exiting an AE mission notice the pets do not zone?

I have an MM and I can summon the pets outside the AE mission and they
zone in with me but when I zone out, they do not zone with. I have also tried
this the other way too, zone in without pets, summon inside AE mish, then zone out.

This certainly does not save time with regards to AE missions if I still have to summon pets.

/petitioned ingame, awaiting response. I was curious if others were experiencing this.

There aren't Boss farms anymore; maps with all bosses maybe... but definitely not worth farming.

I'm just waiting to see the fallout from the non-farm arcs that use customs being that they have to meet both the requirements of having all 3 ranks in a CVG (at the risk of losing 50% just for not having one (ie, low level arcs with no bosses *) AND having each of these critters being beyond beginner and intermediate level play in order to get decent rewards.


*I don't know if players can manipulate the new diff setting to avoid a littering of bosses in random mobs.


Lowbie AE custom content/content creators just caught a massive smack to the face.

Custom purists will catch pain on this as well.

At first glance, they went from the extreme of custom farms, past the equilibrium of comparable play and into the extreme of a non-progressive format.

I'm sure some will find ways to deal but most will not want to play customs that have more risk but less reward than their canon (AE and non-AE) counterparts; regardless of if it has award worthy fiction attached to it or not.

Personally, I won't be doing much in the AE for a little while. I know that the current 'solution' that just went Live is just a stop-gap measure, but I don't really feel like working around the limitations this change presents only to potentially have to change everything again when the final change comes.

I'm happy the farm will start to get weeded out though.

Yeah, I'm convinced they run all new releases with an active debugger that introduces lag, rubberbanding, and DC's for the first few weeks. It makes sense from a software deployment QA/QC perspective, but it makes game play for those couple of weeks really suck.

Just curious why the patch notes post is dated 9/14? I assume it was written on 9/14 but not posted until today (9/15).

It makes things more difficult to find in the Community Rep section....

So I'm confused. If I select "no bosses" on my difficulty slider do the mobs I face only give 50% of the reward in normal pve or is this just an AE specific thing that pushes the "MA is a viable way to level to 50" statement?

What if I make a full faction in AE and then select "no bosses" on my difficulty slider - - 50%?

Repulsion Bomb for my Knockback/Knockdown crazy Energy/Energy/Force blaster? Yes please. Just one question. Will this new power still unlock Force of Nature per usual? I'd love to have PFF, Repulsion, and Force of Nature instead of Temp Invulnerability. Of course, once my game finishes patching and I throw a respec at it, I may just find out on my own... /glares at patcher

Besides that, I like all the changes made! Yeah, some of the badges didn't really need to be lowered. Damage Taken/Debt Removed badges are very easily obtained, I had 5 out of 6 damage takens and 4/6 debt removed badges on my Blaster before he was level 50. Of course it took me like 3 years, but that's besides the fact. But then again, some of them were just crazy. Thank goodness for that Phantom badge, ahah, I wasn't looking forward to that.

Not sure about that - but the way they cap in the zones at least helps newer players see more of the city

EDIT: Although, with you being able to get xp from being an exemplar, I guess you could hit 50 just doing radio misisons in Kings Row

The 50% only applies to AE Custom Villain Groups created with a missing rank (like 'no bosses'). Players don't get this penalty by adjusting their difficulty slider

I like the cleaned up options menu. However, I haven't been able to locate the option to Prompt for Teleports - it used to be listed right near the top of the other prompt options. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place? I really prefer to have the prompt on, I've teamed with too many people who think it's funny to randomly teleport team mates around. (Or worse, they think it's funny to drop Blasters into a big pack of critters once in a while.)

I'd need to check this to be sure, but I believe that the XP penalty is based on the contents of the custom group. So if the custom group is set up so that it gives full XP, and your difficulty slider is set to "No Bosses," you just won't see the boss spawns while you're solo, but you'll get full XP for everyone else. The change was meant to heavily penalize the "All Bosses" farms. I'll have time to double check this for certain later.

There's a new section for promts - it should be listed there now.

So can I make a new faction of say:
minions from council
behemoth luts
and some kind of boss

That will give full xp right?

Then if I proceed to say "no bosses" on my difficulty slider I could fight 8 man spawns of easy luts and easy minions with no xp penalty yes? All with the convenience of the maps I choose and never having to move to find a mission?

Yep... but even with the 'no bosses' settings; you may still run into bosses... I know I am; I'm currently seeing bosses spawn in my 'defeat a boss' mobs (in addition to the boss that I'm supposed to be fighting)

I would think the bosses would spawn, but would be downgraded to Lts.

In celebration for all the great new changes in i16, I'll be working to get other players to help with a "Raptor Pack" shuttle once i16 drops in order to teleport character to the gate of the Shadow Shard so that they can get a Raptor Pack.

The plan is to put a character with Recall Friend at the Green Line Tram in Steel Canyon, one at the Peregrine Island Ferry in Talos Island, and one at the Dimensional Gate into the Shadow Shard in order to form a teleport circuit for moving characters the the Shadow Shard for the purchase of Raptor Packs.
The characters at the Ferry and that green line can move into Peregrine Island and Talos respectively to teleport characters back to the Green Line tram. (It should be easy enough for them to "fly" back to the Yellow line if they desire - or possibly we could gain another character to be stationed at the Yellow Tram in Steel Canyon for tp back to the Yellow-line rail-head.

Who knows on what server(s) or when I'll show up to get this thing going, but I'm planning on proving 10K influence to (at least some) characters under level 14 so that they can by a Raptor Pack in the Shadow Shard.

I'll be using the [Help] Channel to recruit characters with Recall Friend and to announce that we are in place and ready to go!

If anyone is up for helping out with this in any manner, go for it.
I don't want to take the glory from the honorable Taxi-bot continents, but I wanted to at least bring this up!

There's nothing like hitting the skies at level 1 with a brand spanking new Raptor Pack full of fuel.

Of course, I don't want to discourage any "naked noob"/level 1 races to Peregrine Island. Rewarding all participants with a "Raptor Pack" seems a great reward for cheap!

Pity the pet level nerf bug wasn't fixed in time. Pets are still spawning at -1 instead of being even con.

That's just the non-Mastermind pets that are spawning at -1 from normal right?

Aside from minor glitches like that I have to say that this is about the best patch ever. Being able to zone with pets, power customization, all the new MA features, new difficulty settings with super sidekicking, email filter, even little touches like being able to see your current level in the experience bar window are awesome. Great job Devs!

Yes, a very nice issue with lots of QoL adds. Lots of cool stuff and now maybe AE will not be a farmer's haven.

Unfortunately, they didn't add anything to really do in game. I logged on and changed a few colors, ran around and it's pretty much same old, same old. Ah well. I guess these types of changes are easier and quicker. Who knows.
