I really try to interfere with Arena duels, but whenever I zone in I'm just this little robot with no attacks. I can't even smack talk in broadcast!
So I have to go do it in PvP zones instead.

Why make ppl pay for speeding? Or not completely stopping at a stop sign?
Why? Why? Because it's the law and if you are caught breaking the law be me or other officers you will be punished on the spot. It has to be this way to maintain order.

See billy....in life, jerks exist. And they populate the forums.
The fight club police like to interupt duels because they can. They also like making a joke out of the whole thing by pretending your breaking the law.
Also, in a zone full of 30 people dueling, it only takes 1 to mess everything else. They just want the attention. My advice is too send a tell to the person you want to duel and hide it. I get duels all the time in zones when the fightclub idiots are in the zone.

INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: SANCTIONED ASSAULT
OFFICER REPORT: I was patrolling the zones, as I always do at the end of a long day of work, prior to being radioed by dispatch. Reports of 2 possibly 3 suspects committing sanctioned assault in an unsanctioned area. I quickly donned my undercover ID, that of ScrewOfDamnation, a fire/devices blaster, and made haste to the scene. Upon arrival to Recluse's Victory, Deputy xCHAOSx and myself noticed the two suspects in question, dueling under the almighty gonads of Sir Atlas himself. We knew we were in deep, but not this deep. Such a blatant display of disrespect could not go unchecked. Deputy xCHAOSx began his buffing routine as I prepared for a battle we would never forget. I approached the suspects with a calm and collected mindset, what is needed to deal with these criminals. The aforementioned suspect proved to be unruly, using foul language and a persistence of aggression towards his dueling partner. At this point, Deputy xCHAOSx and myself knew we were being forced to bring the target down. I began with a constraining Web Grenade in hopes of sedating my target, but his aggression only grew as he shrugged off my best attempt at a peaceful encounter. I opened fire with all three of my fire blasts, calling forth the strength of Hero 1 to keep me from hitting the innocents in the vicinity. Luckily, with the help of Deputy xCHAOSx and my standard issue Targeting Drone, I was able to practice utmost concentration to keep my aim true and my will strong. The suspect was quickly dealt with and we escaped unscathed. His dueling partner eluded us, but we will meet another day. The suspect went down, hard and fast. He returned to us with increased anger towards our wonderful department, but having just been released from the infirmary in a weakened state, he was no match for our excellent training and department issued weaponry. As such, the suspect was dealt with quickly and soon vacated the area, along with any other would be perpetraters. Recluse's Victory is safe again.

If you want to duel without being interrupted, do it in the Arena.
The PvP zones are open for combat by anyone against any available targets. Do not expect to be immune to the zone dynamics just because you want to duel. The zones aren't about dueling - that is an option in the Arena.
I think it is rude to duel and to expect not to be interrupted doing so in the PvP zones. By going into a PvP zones instead of dueling in the Arena you are letting other players know that you are willing to fight anyone that can fight you in the PvP zone. It's as simple as that.
The Arena is for duels (and various other "closed" battles) where other players don't get involved. Like Phantastik said, there might be people flying around monitoring the fight, but they can't actually be involved with the combat (aka they are only spectators).
If you are trying to duel hero vs. villain try the Arena terminals in the Pocket D or the Rikti War zone.
But why should i have to make a 1 minute + duel into a 10-15+ minute duel bc some people cant be kind enough not to attack me for a minute?
