So far I am really enjoying it. I love the difficulty settings and the Super Sidkick is helpful for my low level toons when teaming. Did not try high level toons yet.

Keeping 5 levels of powers when you exemp down is going to make the low level flashback missions much more enjoyable

Color and power customizing is very nice but a bit confusing. Alternate animations are mixed in with different color themes. I do like that the CoV fire armor look is available...I will be adding this to my main when it hits.

AE changes are not on the top of my like list but it is a good solution to the issue at hand. Mixed with the other changes it should help curb the PL spam to some extent.

Based on what I am seeing so far I think we will see a slight shift back to real mission farming thanks to Super Sidekick and lvl 50 purple drops. Of course if the prices fall I am going to kick myself for spending 100mil on my last few pieces

I suspect master of Reichsman will be a giant pain. Master of ITF, not so much.

Played on Test for an hour or two today.

Pretty happy with what I've seen.

Wow, wasn't expecting the huge badge changes. probably have a couple new ones when I log in. I've already got it but the change to Illusionist is my favorite:

Illusionist: This badge now requires the player to defeat 100 Illusionists and Phantasms summoned by the Carnival Master Illusionist. NOTE: Phantasm defeats were not tracked until this patch. Previous defeats of these enemies will not count toward the total defeats required for this badge. However, defeating summoned illusionists and phantasms going forward WILL earn credit toward this badge.


It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

I'm still looking for what Voodoo referenced about Electric armor changes? I remember hearing something, but I don't remember what it was.

Funnily not in the current patch notes. Check previous versions. Conserve power went away, replaced with Energize.

I dont think Master of Reichsman will be a pain, the only real danger is the mission where you realize he is "unbreakable" and as soon as he spawns you can leave the map via the red box.

Hm...maybe you're right. Though I was thinking of the ambushes on the last mission of the Villain version.

I haven't heard many people talk about the AE XP nerf. Has anyone had a chance to test it yet?

I believe it's just an end discount for powers and not an end recovery, I think lasting for 30 seconds? Maybe 60. I don't remember the stats, but I think a 90 second recharge. The heal was doing 500+ HPs at 50 with just SOs slotted (didn't bother with IOs or sets).

Basic idea anyway since my memory is shot and looking through many closed-beta (I guess they are currently un-readeable by others?) patch notes, I still couldn't find the info.

Very interesting. More master badges? I must be missing those somewhere lol! Or I am just slow.

The badge changes will be nice on some. And I can't tell if any are SG badges. The SG I am in with my two friends, we never farmed anything, so we do have much in that area, even after 5 years.
Oh well, hopefully will try to get on this weekend to look at the changes.

There was talk of looking into SG badges, but they were going to do the personal stuff first. So maybe in a patch later on or maybe in another issue/GR? he wasn't very specific.

The Master runs are for ITF, Khan, and Baracuda.


Something I thought of, though not sure if it was discussed in closed or not, but with merit changes (most are increases) to the TFs, plus the 5 - level power spread for exemping........I would imagine that even though exemplaring will have more incentive, those earlier TFs will just be easier to do. Thus, after awhile, will have their merits lowered Might be the same case with the story arcs; having a pet/powers 5 levels earlier for some of those arcs will make them far less tedious and time consuming. *shrug* I don't think it would effect post-32 content however (maybe post 35; I'd have to see what all falls into that 5 level spread).

Said in the thread, but man... Wonder what criteria they used for revamping Augustine? At worst that's a two hour, MAYBE two and a half hour task force. A recent run with a full team on temp power jet packs, no tp'ers, and five people new to the Shard it didn't take more then a hour and a half.

Maybe they also revamped it, promoted all the Archmages....

I tried teasing Hamster earlier when closed was going on, but competely vague in the sense he didn't know anything AFAIK. His cluelessness was snicker-worthy. Anyway, this new turn of events would be the closer for what I have deemed as the "Hamster gets everything he wanted and hopefully will no longer *****" Issue. The Devs decided on the not-that-good title of Color Spectrum *shrug*

Anyway, team sidekicking, colorizing/minimizing of effects, no more hazard zone limits, etc .....PLUS the forum access again (however small his leash is....who else wants to test it? ). I'm just curious what new vendetta he'll take on now.

BTW - the *flood* of new/interesting forum topics is just staggering. It's almost overwhelming. It's just what the forum needed for sure.

After reading over responses in the Feedback forums, it absolutely screws over story writers. It also encourages making your arcs much harder than normal if you are using customs. There's far too many ways for a valid author who is trying to make an easy arc to have the majority of the XP sucked out. In fact one of my arcs looks to be irrepairable. It wasn't popular anyways so an eventual Unpublish won't hurt too much but it makes the size limitations of MA arcs all the more glaring.
