Hey guys. I'm super excited for I16, it seems like alot of people are. and Going Rogue seems to be what I've wanted for a long time, but i was wondering, what will I17 be? I mean how are they going to follow up color customization and side switching? What i would like to see is maybe a new archtype. (don't ask me what it would be i just think it would be neat lol) or maybe that moon base we've been asking for? I was wondering what you guys would like to see in I17, let me know what you think.

I personally think that I17 will be a Going Rogue integration issue, much like how I7 was for CoV

Maybe a couple new TF's
Im guessing more powerset proliferation (EM for scrappers please)

A purely quality of life thing Id like to see is an overhaul of the Zone loading screens and even a new login screen. I thought a screen showing off more signature heroes would be nice, rather than a few members of the Freedom Phalanx and generic 1, 2, 3, and 4-10.

You're mildly confused. CoV launched almost-simultaneously with I6, not I7. I7 gave villains 40+ content and other stuff.

Here is all we know for sure about issue 17 (click the link). Working under the assumption that Issue 17 will coincide with Going Rogue, I think the majority of the content will be related to Going Rogue. But any game engine improvements we get from GR will come with it, like if we get graphical improvements and things of that nature...similar to issue 6 when City of Villains came out. Small content update unless you buy the new box, but will probably have side benefits for others anyways. Though, I hope we don't get anything as controversial as Enhancement Diversification again as we did in Issue 6.

If issue 17 isn't Going Rogue, then I'm stump'd. More costumes, TFs, power customizations, costume change emotes, emotes, missions, and MA tools, like issue 15? Probably won't be too big since so far the last 3 issues, we've gotten the mission architect, power customization (soon at least), and going rogue in the pipeline.

wow, three responses and one answer, gotta love nitpickers.

i would love to see a content heavy issue, new mish's, TF's/SF's and maybe an overhaul of hazard zones like the hollows got a while back. we have a ton of new shiney's in i16 and going rogue (which i love, not complaining) so i believe they can get away with a content heavy issue without much flak from the community.


Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

Isn't coming in Issue 17 either. All that supposedly I17 stuff you listed that I bolded is in Going Rogue.

Level-50-Double-Plus-Good-Stuff may or may not be restricted to Going Rogue.

EDIT: Side switching is also not in I17. It's in Going Rogue as well.

I'm confused... "get away" with a content heavy issue? We've been waiting for one of those since I13! We would love a content heavy issue for I18 (since I17 is GR)!

However, since GR will bring a metric buttload of content to the game, I'm pretty sure I18 will be a refinement issue, without too much content. I hope to be proven wrong, though.

GR is separate from the Issue progression, just like CoV was. While GR may be released around the same time as I17 (much like CoV was released close to I6), they are not the same thing.

And again... Going Rogue isn't an issue, it's a paid for expansion pack that'll happen between issues. So, no, GR isn't I17.

Well I can say I have seen i17 and GR. OP you don't wanna be here for it, you will not like anything one bit. Now if you give me all your stuffs I will kindly look after it till you come back in i18 cause that is the win right now.

GR : I17 :: CoV : I6

I'm fairly confident that I17 will impact at the same time as GR and in fact the new powersets will be given to all subscribers, not just GR-purchasers.

What will be restricted to the box I think is access to Praetoria and therefore the ability to sideswitch.

My point is that if you're talking about the next "real" issue past GR, you're really talking about I18.

i17 will be a QOL issue used to fine tune the new features that GR will bring.
Dont expect a major issue for i17, now i18 on the other hand . . . . .

Wow, in APRIL they were working on I18... sheesh. Long time to keep secrets like Side Switching, Power Customization, Dual Guns, etc. Nice discipline, Devs, with all the Board DoomSpeak and OtherGameYammer.

I predict a long-awaited UnderwaterMoonDoomPocalypse Zone, Package Slider Zone, and Fluffy Bunny Guns. PINK Fluffy Bunny Guns. (Or any color you like, actually.)

But not Pink Package slider. That would be Wrong on several levels.

look, despite the fact that you are assuming we all agree that new content would great, there is no way you believe that a content only issue wouldn't get a sizeable chunck of the forum hopping mad. there is a hardcore group that is all about the immersion in this game beyond the story, and "new shiney's" are their bread and butter. they WOULD complain if there weren't enough shiney's in an issue, but giving them "the ultimate shiney" in the new costume creator/power customixation should buy some grumble free time to put out (hopefully) content heavy/bug fix issues.

Adding deformation via slider to monsterous faces would make me happy. Also patterns.
