Civilians on the street whose names begin with M will tell you how long you've spent playing that character if you click them.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

As it is... people are farming in MA without chance of getting purples. But with a lot of inf on their name. So less purples in the game... and people with more inf. This makes the purples so expensive that for a casual player they become unreachable.

What is the best way to get a high chance of purple drop these days?
Very rare recipe drop. Any villian that can drop a level 50 recipe can drop one, so 47+. Difficulty doesn't matter when running missions, as I believe it's a .03% drop rate (I could be wrong, this is just hear-say).

The best way I've found to get them, is triple-box and farm your heart out on Demons, Council, or Battle Maiden.

LOL @SUPPLYTHEMARKET

Really, I don't do that. I farm... I get purples... I build them... I stick them in the base... I get red salvage... I stick it in the base...

Wanna know why? Don't need the Inf.

See, I used to sell my drops on the market. But, then... I took a break from the game. Since I started playing again. I am just a hoarder, like those people on tv.

*Disclaimer* This is how I really think. You don't have to like it or agree with it.

Thank you Ticket Farmers! You are doing us all a service. You are making red drops worthless... and making normal drops priceless 100k for a fortune, 80k for Regenerating Flesh, 200k for a Destiny.
Thank you newbies to the game! Yesterday I sold a lvl 50 BASIC IO RECIPE Knockback to you for 750,000.

Did you NOT KNOW you can go to the University and just BUY ONE from the little machine thingy??? They are alot cheaper than that. Oh wait. You didnt know because you have never played the actual game and done your University contact.

/sigh

Now I know you Vets wouldnt do something like that... buy a basic IO recipe for 750k, but these newbies to the game sure don't know which way is up.

And to the OP! Yes, You are now Farming. You can never ever go in one of those Anti Farming threads and complain about how unrightious farming is, because now you are doing it to.
Congrats! Welcome to the Dark side. Continue having fun. When you stop having fun, Dont complain that farming killed the game.

When I am tired of farming, I take a break from the game and come back refreshed some time later.

I ran a boss farm once....and I do mean once. I have no particular issue with people who enjoy farming, it just bores the hell out of me, so I don't do it. I had a Comm Officer farm of my own that existed for a grand total of maybe 4 days. I just can't get into the mindset for it to be fun. Farming almost feels like work, I don't play a video game to do work, I play it to relax AFTER I do work.

I have issues with people exploiting, but that's different.

I also have issues with the hordes of AE Babies being created daily, but I'm only partially blaming farmers on that. It's the people asking for fillers that aren't very particular about who it is that seem to create them. Hopefully that will change with I16 when fillers will be unnecessary.

Have fun with your farms, I'll go run a TF or stomp some Council into the dirt or something.

Find a pedestrian who's name start with a "M"

There are usually two sides to every argument but no end.

Everything placed above this line is always IMHO, YMMV and quite certainly not to be taken too seriously....

Actually, I never once complained about farming. My thought was if that was how you wanted to play the game, go for it, it did not affect anything that I did in the game. All I was saying was that because of tickets I now have large amounts of influence that I never had before. I can pretty much buy what I want on the market and sell stuff to make it back. The problem is that I have become hooked on it and I am missing out on the cool content of the game.

Keeping it Brutal !!!!!!!!

Did you know that Story Arcs give out tickets too? It's true! I've got a character I am running primarily through the MA alone (only doing badge missions and cape/aura stuff outside the MA) just because I'm enjoying exploring the various story arcs. He has THOUSANDS of tickets at any given time (until I decide I want something and invest in reward rolls, sell what I dont want, buy what I do and go back to playing).

I'm enjoying the content, getting alot of tickets, making a ton of infamy. No farming required!

Farmers also enjoy the content but are generating tickets and inf at a much higher rate than you can.

You prioritize story over efficiency, which is fine.
For farmers, it is vice-versa...which is also fine.

And of course there's always that "other" way for people to earn vast sums in a short while- the market, friend of farmer, RPer and story arc addict alike.

so I was presenting to him a solution to his dilemma: run story arcs. Cool content? Check. Lots of Tickets? Check. Win/Win.

Indeed.
I <3 the market.

Anybody who whines about missing out on "cool content" isn't a real farmer- I hereby revoke the OP's membership card!

I got in a big argument the other day, and even earlier in this thread about "Real Farming" where people who don't even claim to Farm feel the need to say, I am being to harsh.

I wanna see your take on it... Oh wait.
I just did. You revoked their certification.

That is what Farming PURPLES gets you.
Or, y'know, being an ebil marketeer. You don't even have to play the game 25 hours a day like P_P to to it!

Actually, Invincible would be the worst difficulty setting for getting purple drops quickly (+0 spawn size, +2 level). What you want are lots of weak enemies, which you can get drops from. A level 50 character running a level 48 mission set to Tenacious would be the best setup (+1 spawn size, +0 level, level 48 mission makes minions blue or green to you).

I havent play the game like that in over 16 months >.<
It was very nice when I had the insomnia to play that way.
But, now... with all this going to the gym, walking in the park, DOGPARK!

I just don't have the ability to stay up 27/9 and farm like I used to
