Dev Digest
Excellent! Thanks.
Now, here's your new assignment. Closed Betas have never had their own Dev Tracker, which is, of course, different from the regular tracker.
Fix that.

That would mean doing searches as a privileged user, and storing the NDAed posts somewhere *secure*. Smells like headache.
(Also: sweet, 3 new posts showed up since last night)
hey, this is great! Thanks!

I have been learning Python and how to develop for Google's App Engine. As an exercise I have created this over the weekend:
http://cohdigest.appspot.com/ What's working right now: A scheduled task that searches for redname posts in a fixed interval - new posts should hopefully show up within 10-20 minutes All posts that show up on search have been saved - I'm currently only displaying the most recent 20 however. To do: RSS/Atom feeds Community/Dev feeds Individual feeds Prioritizing certain rednames when looking for new posts (BaB, I'm looking at you!) Caching of DB results (I hope it won't go over quota too soon >.>) Supporting timezones other than UTC Enjoy |
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?
Arc Name: Tsoo In Love
Arc ID: 413575
Wow my posting is boring. I recommend personally removing Moderator_08, since the reason for that account is so that I can do stuff not tracked by the Community Digest. Regardless, thanks for creating this tool!
First after a redname... can this be stickied?

Yes, this is the best dev tracker so far. Nice job.
Mod 08 and all his posts have been removed from the system as requested
Thanks, everyone, for your kind words and rep points
Very nice. Great job.
Edit: Horatio is not showing on the list.
Main Hero: Flame Blade (Scrapper lvl 50; Katana/Regeneration)
Main Villain: Elenor Seahawk (Mastermind lvl 44; Necromancy/Poison)
My Arcs: #337278: Learning Curve
Fight my Brute: SMASH
The reason why Horatio isn't showing up is because his last public post was made on July 1st, way beyond what the page covers.
Also, just updated the page, added an Atom feed
(Hurray for new smiley icons)
Awww, dangit, Mod08... What if we want to see your boring posts? :P

You have this by default under your ctrl-v button?
For the devs, the posttracker module for VBB, isnt that something u guys can use? Out of the box it pretty much does what the old digest did. (filter, search, local-timezone etc).

Anyway you can add a filter for language. As the forums are separated by Language maybe there could be a different Digest per language?
BTW: wonderful job so far!

I think they are all made in the private beta boards.
Tremendous work! I've added the feed to my toolbar (granted, there's no way of knowing who made a post that way until you go to the actual post, but hey ...) and will be making great use of this until the dev tracker proper gets finished.

I'm new to most of this stuff, so there's a good chance I forgot something in the Atom feed.
I have been learning Python and how to develop for Google's App Engine. As an exercise I have created this over the weekend:
http://cohdigest.appspot.com/
What's working right now:
- Atom feed
- Individual dev feeds
- Language filter
- Option to show author in title
- A scheduled task that searches for redname posts in a fixed interval - new posts should hopefully show up within 10-20 minutes
- All posts that show up on search have been saved - I'm currently only displaying the most recent 20 however.
To do:- Prioritizing certain rednames when looking for new posts (BaB, I'm looking at you!)
- Caching of DB results (I hope it won't go over quota too soon >.>)
- Supporting timezones other than UTC
Enjoy
