This certainly does suck. The crab gets a few really cool powers you can't get with the bane, yet unlike the bane you can't avoid aesthetic annoyances in order to use them. crab legs are stupid looking. |
A corruptor gets kinetics, which I would love to put a few of those powers on my MM, but that just isn't happening, and I don't complain about it.

Then crabby sat abandoned for a year and escaped deletion only because a friend had paid real money so I could have his name. Then I respeced into a Huntsman and now when I play him I hear the voices of angels who all (in my mind's eye) have the faces of Aisynia's avatar.

I wouldn't mind them fixing it, seeing how Widows can be NW/Forts and still looks good.
And with those smexy buttcapes...
But it's not a big deal for me. I just rolled another Solider.
While I'm not overly impressed with the legs (especially when flying, sheesh), I'm more performance oriented so I accept them being there. I wouldn't miss them if I had an option to go without.

Heh, the legs look funny in Ninja Run. The legs nearly touch the ground and look like they are skittering along to help you run.
Secondly, I sorta agree here. Don't expect to get the perks of being a Crab Spider and not wear the gear that goes with it. Think of the spider legs as standard issue gear when you get promoted to Crab Spider. Its part of the set. Just like the Bane Spider gets handed there mace. I don't think any normal minion would look at Lord Recluse and tell him "Oh naw, those legs look lame."
Anything not nailed down is mine, anything i can pry loose wasn't nailed down good enough.

And yes, the backpack is awesome. Wish I could have the Wolf Cape with it, but it's a decent trade-off.

I found a way to lose the crab pack! Run the Darin Wade arc, and grab the 'midnight visage' power. No more crab legs, and you get a snazzy bowler to boot!
Odd thing is, all your crab leg gadgetry is then stowed away in one's shoe. Rampant laser blasts, automatic gunfire, and acid grenades, all from one's shoe? Eat that, Bond!

I love em too they fit my regular costume pretty sweetly and wouldn't take the crab legs off even if I could bane or not

Lvl 50 Crab
Lvl 50 Bane
Lvl 50 Widow
Lvl 50 Huntsman
I can easily say I love my Crab/Bane/Huntsman dearly, Im ok with my Widow.
As soon I get my D.S. MM to 50 & do my Last Hurrah run on Blueside before G.R. I will sit down & work on my final SoA 50, a Fortunata.
