Well, under Firefox 3.5 the forums kick me if I try to log on the main menu (it shows the welcome screen then redirect me to main menu and logging me out). Only way to log in I have is replying a thread.
It's gonna take some getting used to, but hey! It's the Forums! They're Back!

I haven't tried on chrome yet, but there is definitely something with firefox that doesn't save the login state.
