Sorry to hi-jack your leaving thread for this coin, but I feel I should mention that coin is in the Steam Community - if you join you can force him to play more great games which he hasn't played for some reason!
God all these people leaving its getting down right depressing in here well tata Coin may maybe ill run into you in Champions (no im not leaving CoH just in case any one cares)

One of the anniversary interviews (can't recall where, but it wasn't the tentonhammer one) I was reading last night whilst waiting for the announcement-that-was-worth-announcing seemed to say that they were looking at providing extra MA slots for microtransactions much like character slots.
The interviewee pointed out that they needed to make them purchasable as tieing them to Vets' rewards would be no use to new players brought in by MA...
Though, hopefully, if they do this they'll do it just like character slots and throw one in every year or so as a vet bonus anyway...

We are considering this as a purchasable option initially. Tying it to Vet Rewards defeats the purpose of bringing in new players with this feature. If a new player loves it, they'd have to wait months or years in order to get more slots. If we make them a micro-transaction like we did with character slots, then they can have immediate access to more slots at a reasonable price.

Braid is only a tenner too and excellent! (some bits make break your brain though, I spent an hour thinking time in CoH would go backwards every time I moved the mouse to the left after playing Braid for a bit first last week).

I generally dont post in leaving threads as folks so often do return. And feel that is not needed.
But as you have been a great person to team with and have enjoyed all the fun we have shared in game Coin i wish you all the best and take care. Do hope our paths cross again in some MMO out there. As im often playing a few of them, but i cant see me leaving COX as of yet. i still enjoy the game and the folks in it.

I might take a break and check for I16.
While i will try TOR , DC and CO i fear me and many others who leave to check them out will be dissapointed after 1 or 2 months.
Like in all MMORPGs everthing gets boring after a while, since you can have only a limited amount of content.
These days games tend to be much easier than they used to be, allowing players to reach max lvl much faster and therefore getting bored much faster than it used to be.
I tried many new games like WAR, Age of Conan, Chronicles of Spellborn, but i always eneded up here again, dont misunderstand me the games were ok, but since they were new, they had many bugs and werent finished and lacked content.
Why play an unfinished game that is as boring as CoX when you can stick to the one you know and is more polished ^^
If i got bored of CoX i simply took breaks, but lately i had to take the breaks more often since i got bored much faster, partly because so many good friends have left and i feel a bit lonely :-(
We used to run SF every day but almost nobody runs them now due to MA
I DO believe a server merge from EU to US servers wouldnt be bad, since EU did get a bit empty lately especially if you dont count the MA farmers.
P.S: NO game will ever be as good as the first ones you played :-)

Like I say, I'm not planning on leaving until I've tried CO and see if it's any better in the live world. It also depends on what Paragon do to hook my attention on this game as a couple of TF's aren't enough to keep mt playing, sad to say.
With the way this game works, it's all about the journey to 50 for me and with no new decent content for so long, and with the devs even saying they won't be working on normal mission arcs as much as they are TF's due to the MA, I can't see much new official content being added, there is nt much reason for me to roll a new toon and head up to 50 again.
Hopefully, Paragon will announce something amazing, something that will make us all go "bloody hell!!" and I'll be the first to put my hands up and admit being wrong, but given the past years track record, I doubt it and fully expect to be playing CO when it goes live.
Who knows, perhaps having low expectations instead of high hopes might mean I feel less disappointed now?

Well, it's looking like the end of the game for many people and I'm expecting to add my name to that list
)and old games like Sims 2.
ATM, the only reason I've stuck with Coh for so long is that I've not any other MMO's that have attracted me enough to pay for them. I've tried WoW (hated it) done trials on other games, like Final Fantasy and Star Wars and they haven't grabbed my attention. Tried some of the Free To Play games, same again, amusing enough but not enough to grab me.
Now, the one that does grab my attention has a release date, Champions Online. I'll be buying it and trying it. There's things in there I'm not overly keen on (lack of unque names for instance) but there's a lot there I like (varied zones, new powers, customizing etc) so I'll play it for the first month of free play. At the moment I'm playing mostly offline stuff thanks to Steam doing bargains for things like the Orange Box (How did I not get Portal earlier?? Thanks Xanthus for the recommendation
I'm barely in Paragon recently, tbh. I'm getting very bored of it and there's nothing new coming that attracts me. A couple more TF's that will get done a couple of times on different toons and then it's done.....again. Atm, the only thing keeping me here is the excellent SG I'm in and the fact that I have a regular team night with them. Other than that, i'm very bored.
I love the MA, but Posi's pathetic ciomment about the map editor and farmers is so naff it's scary means it's limited in making the missions I want to do. Now, unless Champions Online turns out to be absolutely DREADFUL, which I'm doubting, and unless Paragon announce something HUGE for CoH, and I'm talking a proper announcement, not veiled comments about Coming Storm's and COOL new things for Issue 15, unless they start actually LISTENING to their customers and responding properly with actual statements that aren't just more vague Soon comments, I'll be cancelling my subs for CoH as well.
Money is tight enough in the RL at the moment, I can't afford to have multiple subs on the go. I will do what I tell all customer to do and vote with my feet. That seems to be the only thing the makers of CoH understand and is the only way to show them how I feel they might actually take notice of. Given their complete lack of interest in the EU market, I doubt they'll care that much anyway.
I'm gutted, as I love this game so much. It's been here for over 4 years of my life and I've met some wonderful people in it. The Handprints, The Femmes, the Swords, friends Ive met in RL such as Illum, Killer Queen, Ebony, Knightingale, all great people. It wil be a wrench to leave all that behind but given what's happening I suspect that it won't be long before some of them move on anyway.
So, balls in your Court, Paragon Studios. If you want to keep players, give us a reason to stay. ATM, you haven't given us squat but vague comments and veiled promises that never happen.
