So... Issue 16 then?

Let's face it, I14 hasn't lived up to it's promise and reduced the game to "City of Farmers"

(apparently you get extra tickets if you press the e i e i e i & then the o keys)

I15 Anniversary... a year in development according to some and it's very meh unless they're witholding something important.

So can we seriously hope they'll pull the fat from the fire in I16?

Do the powers that be actually not like their game any more? They've certainly lost their way.

What better way for Cryptic to switch us over to the unofficial CoH 2.0 of Champions Online than by breaking the first version?

Flawed logic, Cryptic have nothing to do with this game anymore, it's all NC Soft and Paragon Studios now.

Still, Issue 15 looks naff, I'm seriously depressed now

I'm not prepared to wait for I16, I17, I18 or even a possible sequel. Enough is enough now. Too long have they been saying that the NEXT issue will be it, too long have they been saying "Soon", well, enough now. Way enough. Competition is just way too close for them to be screwing around with loyal players like this, and I'm just all out of patience.

So I'll go down on record right now and say this.

If Positron's 5th year anniversary address does NOT come up with something new and exciting which we get VERY soon, my sub WILL be canceled tomorrow. I'm just not going to keep paying them money on the promise of "soon", when they just continually break that promise.

Issue 13 was originally meant to be "IT", then MA was bumped as it was too big. Then Issue 14 was meant to be "IT", and it's turned the game into City of Farmers. Then Issue 15 was meant to be "IT", a massive story based issue, and it's got 2 stinking task forces, a few emotes, some faces, and something to help the farmers. Whoop dee frickin' doo.

I used to absolutely love this game. I used to trust everything the devs said. I don't anymore.

They even managed to make the new villain SF the wrong level, its 40-45 that needed covering.

How many times has that been said.

Oh very true, not sure why the Cryptic logo is still on there, probably some legal reason, but regardless, Cryptic don't make the game anymore so it's not them breaking it, it's Paragon Studios ruining my favourite game

Well we held a meeting with the SG at the weekend and we all agreed that if they (the devs) came up with the promises they have been making then we would still maybe check out the competition, but still keep our accounts live to carry on in the game we love.

However as FFM duly noted ( and that confirms it, a staunch supporter such as he ) they have had the ball for a long time, and if the address tonight has nothing more to add, then they have fumbled it...big time.

The Art of War was started long before I rejoined the game, its been around since launch - but the core players who have 50+ months across the boards have all agreed that there is not much holding this game together other than some hastily added cellotape and stickers saying *soon*

I sit here in hope that a game ive enjoyed for a long time gets the extension to its life it truly deserves, and not some ham fisted blue peter add ons.

Time will tell I suppose, ill be watching this space.

Will the last one to leave please turn the lights out in Atlas Park

What's really sad is this is meant to be a day for celebration - something to really get us invigorated and excited for the future and yet at seemingly every turn the Devs have missed a huge opportunity as if they are actively trying to [censored] defeat from the jaws of victory.

Clearly they are tired and bereft of ideas but their egos prevent them from listening to the great suggestions put forwards by the transatlantic player base.

Sure we can. Posi's making his address at 8pm their time, not our time.. So WE get to wait until we get up tomorrow, or stay up, oversleep, and be late for work.

Pretty much my take on it too, I'll be trying out Champions but the aimless feature creep of the last few issues really isn't encouraging me to stick with CoH either.

TBH given the wild frenzy of joy the I15 announcement and Anniversary CHAOS hasn't driven us to, I'm not sure getting the address a few hours late will be a major hardship.

The game is what people make of it anyway. Also I don't expect the impossibility of pleasing all of the people all of the time or new things that come out without some faults.

I am not saying things are acceptable as stretch is always embraceable but I think that I am realistic.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
