I know Croatoa is odd but.....

My wife and I were in Croatoa last nigh hinting the last few Pumpkins we needed for the badge. We're outside the town very close to the Uni and we come on half a dozen trees, you know the kind that look odd.

So we attacked them expecting pumpkins..... Dev earth and Red and Orange at that!

Anyone else had this happen? I've never seen Dev in Croatoa before and never seen them anywhere pretending to be trees. I just wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a picture, BUT I was so shocked!

They do it in Striga Isle too out by the Super Spy badge, they are rather sneaky, but its a great way of making progress towards the Bladegrass Gladiator badge

DE 'disguise' themselves in the Rogue Isles a fair bit, think they may do it Blueside to. Still, amusing if nothing else =]

Yeah there are some DE in Croatoa. They disguise themselves as trees. I keep bumping into them during pumpkin hunt missions.

I've never seen DE in Hollows, not that I spend a hell of a lot of time there. I have seen them disguised as trees in Croatoa though.

Only place I've actually seen them disguising themselves as trees is in Eden, in the forests there... Talk about getting ganked all of a sudden..

They do it in Croatoa too, theres a hilly bit along the south-east just out of the woods where there's a fair few of them in tree form.

Stupid creatures, you'd think they'd figure that disguising yourself as a tree might be more effective IN the damn wood, not in a line on a ridge overlooking it.

that isnt odd though since there are regular de spawns and a gm in the folly.

I wish the GMs that spawn in the non-city zones would attack normal city zones after a while if no one takes them down - it'd be fun if they were more of a problem to the city
Like Jurassick spawns in Crey's Folly, and after 30 minutes or so if no one's gone in to take him down, he appears in Brickstown, and starts wandering around, along with invasion style DE spawns.
Babbage and invasiohn style Clockwork spawns could hit Steel Canyon from Boomtown, and the Kraken and invasion style Hydra spawns could hit Steel, Skyway, Atlas or Galaxy from Perez Park.
They wouldn't be full on Rikti/Zombie zone invasions - the GM would just spawn near the gate that leads to it's "home" zone, along with its minions, and then make circuits of the target zone until it was either defeated, or despawned after a set time.

[/ QUOTE ]Definitely can find them in St. Martial, as have killed many whilst hunting Blue Ink Men and Marcone Bosses.

Was a suprise when I first came upon them, but the shock factor wore off pretty quickly.
