SS and WP
Lightning Rod has way too long of a recharge to count as anything but a Brute version of a softnuke. Granted, it's "strong and pretty".
Though largely irrelevant when solo, it also suffers from being a pseudopet power in having only* a 400% damage cap.
I've found 400% to be plenty on it, as my Elec/Fire is in a duo I find herd, nuke, herd, imob burn, herd, nuke works well enough for AoE damage

Must go and build a SS/WP Brute to see what the fuss is all about
[/ QUOTE ]
Been thinking this my self i clearly did something wrong with my first attempted SS/WP so could some one post up one of these uber SS/WP builds?
cheers
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I was contemplating that too but I don't think I'll notice any real difference.

Ditto. I found Superstrength to be rather underperforming when facing off against Longbow Ballistas.

Okay not have a SS/WP brute but have WP/SS tanker, just because of concept reasons. I have to admit it is most boring tank i played so far (no wonder i deleted another one around level 30). If you ask my personal opinion SS is a waste with WP. You can have better secondaries who are damage high and end heavy thanks to QR + Stamina. My old favorite was WP/Stone but as they changed the heavy mallet animation i gave up that one. Even he is currently level 23 i think i will re-roll Mr.Twinkle as WP/Fire. Still couldn't find a suiting set for Mr.Gloomy tho' and never will until we get Dual Pistol/Regen choice for characters.
Oh and Nerf the Kins. I don't like SB.
SB PLZ
I really should do something about this signature.
Nerf SS/Shield, DM/Shield, Stone/Shield dps potential is way too high!
Locking this thread until I can go through and clean out some posts.
It will most likely remain closed throughout the weekend, and I will decide on Monday whether to reopen it or not.

Does anyone disagree that Rage is the best buff of all brute primaries ?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Crash is horrible.

Does anyone disagree that Footstomp is the best aoe of all brute primaries?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Lighting Rod is better. Some of the toggle auras are better too (e.g. fire/fire).

Does anyone disagree that KoB is one of the best ST atackks with great secondary effects of all brute prmiaries ?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, Smashing damage, everything resists that, and the secondary effects are usless against AVs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I'd say I agree with you on the first point Praf.
Second I dont know if I prefer Fire Sword Circle or Lightning Rod personally, probably lightning rod
Personally I think GFS is the ST attack with the best secondary cause its secondary effect is damage and damage is buffed by Fury. But if I had to pick another one I'd take Seismic Smash which is a Mag 4 hold instead of Mag 3 and the same amount of damage but with 5 seconds less recharge. But GFS has half the recharge, and does Fire damage....... I dont know, GFS or Seismic Smash...... its a tough one but for me KoB isn't in the top two and Energy Transfer is still able to knock it out of the top three even with its animation time increase
